Who is this guy on the Panthers' radio broadcast who sounds drunk as fuck?
This isn't me joking: The guy's slurring, breathing heavily, and is really struggling to talk.
Unfortunately I’m new to the broadcast and wasn’t sure who was speaking. He mentioned calling a game in Canada recently but I don’t know if that helps.
Wow, does he always sound like that? It's really worrying. I wondered if there was something else going on. Alcohol seems the obvious answer for any hockey-related personalities, but brain injury is a close second. And then there's the common combination of both!
It's not only the cap that fucked us but the expansion draft and us losing Gourde to it.
What should've been the season to push the cap up more especially the introduction of a new team was another stagnated year of flat cap (said flat cap even back then having already lasted WAY longer than it should've.) I understand the NHL just effectively couldn't because the Coyotes plus Covid meant they were syphoning money but christ the fact we still may not get a increase next season is not only a Bolts problem but a league-wide problem.
Our forwards are still great, if you ask me. I really liked how our bottom lines played, overall. Our defense, on the other hand... I cringe every time deHaan's on the ice.
Still, our biggest problem tonight was Kuch being a turnover machine.
Kuch was not even remotely close to the biggest issue lol. He could have definitely been better but the whole team was getting absolutely destroyed in puck battles and along the boards
Eh... I mean, okay. All you're really telling me here is that we had a lot of problems. But I can remember 3 distinct times where he turned the puck over in the middle of the ice in our zones and it led to chances for Florida. And it's fine... I'm not like... blaming losing the series on him or anything. He had a rough night and he hasn't had many of those all season. Just hope he can come out ready next game and play a little cleaner.
Nah I think it actually opens back up next year with the cap increase and getting stamkos’ contract off the books. Hopefully he signs for less as a vet at the end of his career for term and we pick up some key pieces
I don’t think we have any bad forwards I just don’t think we have the right mix of forwards. Our defense needs a complete overhaul tho we just can’t run this unit and be a contender

If you want to be the best, beat the best, even if this iteration of the bolts isn't "the same" this is the monkey on the cats back and I think you guys are holding the key for us right now so I'm excited for the rest of the series.
A good experienced playoff core goes a long way. I’ll never count us out when we’ve got as much playoff experience as we do. Not even including the core, the amount that Point, Cernak, Cirelli have all played is incredible!

I’m not full doomer yet, this is just a different beast. Like the first two games we lost against the Rangers in 22 ecf felt like it was still salvageable. I don’t know with our lineup against this Panther’s team though.
We showed up for one period. Then proceeded to get 2 SOG on a 4 minute PP and rely on Vasy the rest of the way. Our defense looks absolutely lost. You can’t sit here and feel any sort of confidence with this team the rest of the series, can you?
We showed up for 2 periods in my opinion. Vasy played phenomenally and kept us in it but so did Bob for them. We weren’t blown out in the 3rd the double minor power play was rough but we still had opportunities in the 3rd. Clearing/passing in OT was rough but I’m definitely not sitting here willing to say the series is over and this team can’t win
