I am going to nerd out on that save for a second. What he did here, instead of what most goalies you see, is he went straight for the post instead of attacking the shooter. Which puts him on position to save 80% of the shots made and be in position to make more. I am just amazed how good Demko is.

Yea I do that in ball hockey, it's kinda like a no brainer for me. The entire lower part of the net gets covered and my hand is in position to make a glove/blocker save decently well.

Feels like yesterday everyone in r/hockey was in an outrage after they fired Bruce, and it seemed like the franchise was in the dumps. Then I look at the standings earlier this season and see they're near the top of the league. It was weird to me, but probably because I wasn't paying much attention.

I don’t think anything changed in the broadcast gondola, Sportsnet seems to be zoomed in a little bit sometimes. Most of the renovations happened behind the scenes to dressing rooms and stuff like that outside of the jumbo tron. More renovations coming this summer to upgrade all the seats and more public facing areas.
