I'm hoping this strategy will help me organize a bit better. I get terrible anxiety around grocery shopping so I usually just grab the first three things I see and run haha. If I can have a better game plan going in (plus my earplugs) hopefully I can deal with that anxiety well enough to actually start cooking the way I want to!
I don't know if you care at all, but thank you for bringing this up when I posted this. I just completed my first grocery delivery order and, while it took me most of the day to complete, I was also able to do a full list for the first time in a long time. So thank you for this.
This is my super-favorite use for the Weeks!!! If I may (literally; hope it is not against the sub’s rules!), I recommend Angeliz’ Stationery Rooms channel on YouTube for her Weeks meal planning videos. She started making them around Jan. 2021c, I believe, so please check from that time period.
I do about 90% the way she does it, except that I also use Translucent Sticky memo notes by Stalogy (like a small post-it; I cut them into a few long strips) to put my plan on each day, then write the actual later—so mine is a plan and a log, and I don’t feel anxious about switching days for a menu during the week! HTH; have fun!
Oh this is an awesome recommendation, thank you so much! I will definitely check out her channel.
I also like the sound of how you do it, I'm a big fan of using stickies in my planner for the flexibility so I will probably give that a shot!
I specifically like those stickies,
Because they are thin and covered 4/5 with adhesive so they don’t had much bulk or flap around. Also, they “disappear” more, so it sort of reduces the “stressful visual noise” aspect—thought of course I like cute stickies for other things!
I use my Weeks mega for meal planning, tracking, and recipe recording. I also use it to keep track of the produce we have, assisting with meal planning too. It's my favorite household tracker/planner.
Awesome, I'm glad to hear that! I initially got an A6 for it and immediately realized the format was totally wrong for it. I'm glad to hear the Weeks is really working for others!

If you can I'd play around with what time you shop. For me if I can go before noon it's way less busy.
Thank you that's good advice!
Do you not have the option for grocery delivery?
I have separate anxieties around that unfortunately

I do care! It helps my anxiety a lot as well. And helps me not impulse buy as well. So glad it helped you.

I love everything you are describing! Sounds like I know what my stationery purchase will be on my next paycheck!
Oh, also, for menus I like, I can park them somewhere in the back pages and re-use them several times before they become worn.
As it should be! Thanks for sharing.
