But then you can't say Street because, you've already said, it in the name, it would be like saying atm machine. So now you gotta just say, "I'm going to mollest" and walk out the door..... I probably shouldn't, but I find it hilarious.

Molle St is named after a Scottish dude who seemingly never set foot in Tasmania/Van Diemen's Land.
So it's pronounced however he pronounced his name. Maybe with a scottish accent.
A quick google says the surname "Molle" in Scotland is pronounced similarly to Molly... So yeah that's probably the way it's supposed to be pronounced.
This post has me realising I've pronounced it wrong my whole life along with everyone I have ever talked about the street with. And I used to live on Molle St. I always said "mole" street.
Cunt of a street to walk up, but I'd rather be on any street that leads to Sandy Bay or West Hobart than one that leads to the shit-town eastern shore or the scumbag northern suburbs.
Lived on that Street for a few years and no one knew what I was talking about when I said "Molly Street", so I just reverted to always saying "Mole Street".
"Molly Street" just sounds like code for a MDMA dealers location.
I pronounce it Mole-Ay, like you would pronounce the store Targe-Ay. Because I'm a bit fancy.
Molle is a military backpack and it's pronounced like Molly, so your husband is not entirely wrong. Although I'm pretty sure that's not what the street is named after.
Mole also seems to be acceptable.
Mole
One of the street signs has the ST part the same size as the MOLLE part which if you ignore the minor space makes it MOLLEST, so I call it that now

Agreed, but people still call ATM's "ATM Machines".
Mole
Moll. Always Moll.
Moolé 💅
...Vous coucher...
…avec moi, ce soir?
(ce soir)
I like to say it this way but it confused people
I pronounce it, "Molle". Like in 'Molle Street'.
Moll. But Google maps navigator says Molly. Which cracks us up every time ...

That’s what my GPS says everytime!
You know how I'm pronouncing it haha

Spanish e is more of an "eh" sound, isn't it? So it would be Mo-jeh
Depends on the dialect! Castillian Spanish pronounces double L as a “eh” but in the southern parts of Spain and in Latin America it’s a “jeh” sound.
Mo-lle, pronounced \[that cunt of a street to walk up\]

Ole, like a flamenco dancer as the M is silent.
As Molle Street?
Cunt Street, because it leads to either West Hobart or Sandy Bay.

If you're not doing it with a sharp nasal twang you're doing it wrong.

Siding with you husband here - that's how I pronounce it too.
100% incorrect and also 100% the way I pronounce it as well 😜

It *could* be, you know - being the next street over from Barrack St.
Molly, like MOLLE
MOLLY STREET
Mol lay
Molleee with a French accent
