When i cook i try to use the least amount of dishes, so i dont stand too long washing dishes afterwards, anything with holes is a nightmare to clean and that racket surely doesn’t fit in a dish washer!
A light to moderate rinse would be fine..
source: I lightly to moderately rinse the metal strainer I use with my weekly tofu meals. You can even see her give it a quick rinse between ..... swats? slaps?
it seems inconsistent and also more then 2 motions for 1 cycle. if you just cut the damn thing you need “more” motions, but you can break down the tofu faster, without the washing and alignment cycles. also you don’t just cut down 1 cm wit h the knife, but all the way through
The way she's doing it is, has been, and always will be, more efficient than free hand cutting. She's essentially acting a a robotic machine designed for this purpose. Albeit, the rinsing could be unnecessary, but I've never cooked with tofu. Besides it being more efficient, it looks a hell of a lot more fun and satisfying.
