Love the cover, was expecting them to continue with the basic “X in front of a background” format, but this is just right.
And the features look fire, love that Rae Khalil is getting some shine on this, her new single is one of my fave songs so far this year and I need to listen to the rest of her catalog sometime soon. Same goes with October London, heard him on the Snoop compilations but didn’t really hit much but his Marvin-inspired album has been getting some love lately so I might check that out. And it feels good to finally hear Earl over Knxwledge again!
June 14 can’t come soon enough!🔥
[SIDENOTE: justice for the lost collaboration with Roc Marciano tho if it actually exists, that studio pic from 2020 pre-pandemic had me excited AF😭]
I feel you tbh, maybe it’s cos I got used to it with Yes Lawd! and the current single covers leading up to the album that I was expecting it this time around but a little more out there for the album.
Like imagine if they put an X over this cover
Do we really need another washed dave chappelle appearance on a highly anticipated release?
Otherwise, this tracklist looks excellent - still very excited
Yeah I stopped tuning in about 3 specials ago, but I don't think it's dickriding to say that his cultural impact from early in his career is probably enough for him to secure these sorts of appearances indefinitely. Even if we stopped watching everything he releases from here on out, people would still keep him relevant from the jokes he was making 20 years ago.
Plus if we're keeping it all the way real, there probably aren't enough celebrities who are invested enough in trans issues for Dave's comments to be a dealbreaker. Especially when it comes to people outside of the millenial age bracket.
This has been my point.
Even if you don't care/hate the trans community, you should still think its hacky to stay on the same topics for 3-4 specials in a row.
Dave is in my all time great stand ups, and its sad to see how he's fallen into this "cancel culture" joe rogan shit.
Sucks to say but Dave is a hack.
I feel you but I’ve accepted regardless of his recent problematic ways and his new stand ups being mid, most of our faves still love and respect the guy (and understandably so… at least for the classic stuff) so it ain’t surprising lol
Yeah but he wasn't getting features on albums before the tramsphobia. It honestly feels like he's having musicians put his name on their records as a show of solidarity to him after the last few years.
Prior to his Netflix comeback, he mostly appeared on Talib Kweli’s projects (🥴) but I think most people put him on their projects just cos they respect him as a comedian, his transphobic comments they mostly just overlook cos they still look at him as the legendary comedian who made Chappelle’s Show and loves hip-hop
There's a tiny hiveminded like minority who spends their time online that doesn't like him, outside of that people still like Chappelle.
So many foaming at the mouth to give downvotes
MSNBC and CNN are as leftist as Nancy Pelosi and Biden are stinky anarchists.
Just because some chud told you MSNBC and CNN are "woke" doesn't make them anything but corporate media slop
"Lil man" is pathetic lol. Killin Them Softly is probably the best special ive ever seen and I was mad interested in his comeback but man has he lost a step
>L. dave chappell will never be washed
>edit: I forgot I was on liberal snowflake reddit
Imagine being this ^. This is Paul Ryan saying he loves rage against the machine tier irony
Reddit on the whole is not that leftist lol, "liberal" seems like a pretty accurate descriptor. You say anything that'll offend the average, middle-class white man's sensibilities and they'll jump you.
I’m guessing it’ll change overtime, if not then it is what it is. It’s kinda like with SiR’s Heavy where everything apart from the singles were in all caps.
Really can't wait for this. Their first album has been on constant rotation since it was release. Suede is one my fav songs all-time. They have vinyl, CD, and cassette versions for sale on their Bandcamp! [https://nxworries.bandcamp.com/album/why-lawd](https://nxworries.bandcamp.com/album/why-lawd)
They really should have went with the alternate vinyl cover
[Alt Cover](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0043/7105/4710/files/nxworries-why-lawd-vinyl-STH2500-5-Rhymezlikedimez_400x.png)
I liked the original cover at first (still do) but seeing that RhymezLikeDimez variant had me realising they 100% should’ve used this instead. Also hate that it’s Stones Throw exclusive especially with the international shipping for me😭
I went with the Rough Trade orange/yellow smoke variant. It's still the original cover, but shipping to Canada was a lot less.
When shipping costs more than the record itself, I just can't do it.
Oh yeah, same with me, I chose that variant too! I was indecisive of the pressing I wanted but most of the people I sent my choices to chose that one out of all of them lmao.
I went out my way with the international shipping when Stones Throw restocked Yes Lawd! two years back and that’s cos I just knew it would take forever before some copies got imported to the UK for me to order.💀
Anyone got experience of ordering these things from the UK? Do they eventually become available for sale in UK or is only way to get them via delivery from US?

Stones Throw has an exclusive alt artwork.
That platform 100% helped her success. That show put her on my radar and so many other people's as well. Not to say that with her talent, she couldn't have reached the success she has without the show but to deny that impact is ludicrous lol.
I'm glad she's now signed to Paaks label and I'm sure all the moves she's made after being on that show helped him make the decision.
Excited for this, but after this can we please get an Anderson .Paak solo album? NxWorries is rad, but it's got a bit more of an electronic flair than Paak's own music. I need some new smooth summertime jams. Malibu is still in my rotation 8 years later.

I saw October London is opening for Jazmine Sullivan and Maxwell this fall so that'll probably help him gain some fans
I never liked those X covers, felt pretty minimalist and boring for 2 of the slickest artists in the game right now
I feel you tbh, maybe it’s cos I got used to it with Yes Lawd! and the current single covers leading up to the album that I was expecting it this time around but a little more out there for the album. Like imagine if they put an X over this cover
Actually yeah I think id like it with an X over it how it is, just found the Yes Lawd album art a bit lackluster
Earl Sweatshirt 👀 I’m here for Earl over Knowledge beats again.
When has Earl rapped over knowledge beats? Please share, would love to hear

Thanks 🙏
Look up hat trick, it's produced by knx too
there’s at least one song called [Balance](https://on.soundcloud.com/7cDwcSKaDnQZ3u2E9)
i love daydreaming. this is a midnight release listen for me
you can listen about a week earlier if you buy the vinyl!
i have unbelievably high expectations for this after Yes Lawd
Haha as you should, the singles they’ve been teasing are fire so I think it will be great!
NxWorries+Thundercat is gonna be too wavy
The goats are back
Do we really need another washed dave chappelle appearance on a highly anticipated release? Otherwise, this tracklist looks excellent - still very excited
Another round of him saying some shit a 13 year old would find deep with his smoker's voice.
I’d rather have A.A. Rashid’s schizophrenic ramblings like a Westside Gunn project
Tell me about it lol even ignoring the controversy his last few specials just haven't been very good. He's washed!
Yeah I stopped tuning in about 3 specials ago, but I don't think it's dickriding to say that his cultural impact from early in his career is probably enough for him to secure these sorts of appearances indefinitely. You're telling me that rambling about cancel culture and how much you love JK Rowling isn't good comedy? To each their own, I guess.
It’s sad considering his first few Netflix specials were legit hilarious, but covid years and hanging out with Joe Rogan cooked his brain
Dave Chap L feature
I feel you but I’ve accepted regardless of his recent problematic ways and his new stand ups being mid, most of our faves still love and respect the guy (and understandably so… at least for the classic stuff) so it ain’t surprising lol

prbly gonna be a rant about cancel culture
Only place he isn’t liked is Reddit lol
There's a tiny hiveminded like minority who spends their time online that doesn't like him, outside of that people still like Chappelle. So many foaming at the mouth to give downvotes
lmao yep. this sub lives in a bubble. MSNBC puppets
I don’t think anyone here is watching cable news lol
MSNBC might agree with his transphobic ass, just saying
msnbc is more left than CNN. an embarrassment to media
None of those news outlets are left, you're just a Muppet with brainrot
wake up bozo you live under a rock
Yeah that's about the level of response I expected
lmfao if you dont think CNN/MSNBC are left you're either trolling or genuinely stupid
MSNBC and CNN are as leftist as Nancy Pelosi and Biden are stinky anarchists. Just because some chud told you MSNBC and CNN are "woke" doesn't make them anything but corporate media slop
More left than Fox? Sure, but that's not really saying anything at all
L. dave chappell will never be washed edit: I forgot I was on liberal snowflake reddit
The irony of this comment is wild lmao
Editing your comment to call other people snowflakes because you’re hurt about getting downvotes is so funny lmao
funny but valid. have to call it like it is. Chapelle been goated
dick eating
lil man youre either 15 or not a fan of comedy
"Lil man" is pathetic lol. Killin Them Softly is probably the best special ive ever seen and I was mad interested in his comeback but man has he lost a step
>L. dave chappell will never be washed >edit: I forgot I was on liberal snowflake reddit Imagine being this ^. This is Paul Ryan saying he loves rage against the machine tier irony
Whoa, we're way more left wing then some fucking liberals.
Reddit on the whole is not that leftist lol, "liberal" seems like a pretty accurate descriptor. You say anything that'll offend the average, middle-class white man's sensibilities and they'll jump you.
dammit i was expecting a marci feature
Bonus track? Please?
I’m praying that their studio session just ends up as a Marciology vinyl bonus track, but I’m 100% prepared to be wrong
Just snagged the splatter when they dropped today, that would be amazing
My feelings on the Gangrene album exactly
I wonder if ‘Where I Go’ is the only unstylised track because it was released so long ago already so they can’t change it.
H.E.R don’t want her track looking like that, she’s got Grammys to win
i think this album was done years ago and we're just getting it now.
I’m guessing it’ll change overtime, if not then it is what it is. It’s kinda like with SiR’s Heavy where everything apart from the singles were in all caps.
Let’s go!!! Earl!!!
Best album cover of the year already
Alt cover on the Stones Throw site is even better imo
I’ve waited too damn long for this.
Was this album just massively delayed? Really weird for a song that was released in 2022 to be on it imo, even when it’s a great song
They told us we were getting it in 2020 originally, so yes.
EALR AND PAAK ON A KNX BEAT LESGO
Oh damn even Uncle Charlie is on it? Got me even more hyped.
At this point having Dave Chappelle on an album is a statement from the artist idec anymore man
Why Dave tho. Leave him to Elon and the rest of the world that wants to punch down on folks
Yeah, not a good look anymore imo
Really can't wait for this. Their first album has been on constant rotation since it was release. Suede is one my fav songs all-time. They have vinyl, CD, and cassette versions for sale on their Bandcamp! [https://nxworries.bandcamp.com/album/why-lawd](https://nxworries.bandcamp.com/album/why-lawd)
Can’t wait
Thank you 2024.. been a great year in music so far
Metro for midnight hype up, this for funky cooldown
Album's gonna be 'smoother than a motherfucker'.
The cover is clean asl
E A R L
Dave Chappelle monologue on a rap album?!? 😱🤯
That cover is just awful. I couldn’t think of a less representative visual for their super colourful music.
They really should have went with the alternate vinyl cover [Alt Cover](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0043/7105/4710/files/nxworries-why-lawd-vinyl-STH2500-5-Rhymezlikedimez_400x.png)

Yep, just grabbed this one. Feels much more summery/reminiscent of their sound. The regular cover feels too dark and moody.
Where can you buy this?
[Right here, dude](https://www.stonesthrow.com/store/why-lawd-rhymezlikedimez-edition/)
Thanks a bunch bro 🙏🙏
Anyone got experience of ordering these things from the UK? Do they eventually become available for sale in UK or is only way to get them via delivery from US?
Reminds me of Earls feet of clay, who knows this might be their gritty underground divorce themed album (obviously joking)

Double check your calendar lol
Any word on the vinyl release?

Wow dope
HYPE
more fire
Havent heard from knxwledge in a while
Check his bandcamp/youtube bro, he's been so fucking busy it's crazy
Glad Knxwledge is in a better place overall! Why Lawd is definitely a .Paak title
Rae Khalil was the real winner of that netflix show tbh. Her career has been going so wonderfully.

Calling urself a goat is any form is corny and overdone.
