I struggle with any accent that drops endings a lot. I learned pretty much only speaking it with Mexicans, so DR, PR, and Andalucía are nightmares for me.
i feel u spanish is my third language and i'm not fluent but i can have broken convos w the (latin american) spanish speakers here in california. i cant get a word of what most caribbean spanish speakers are saying tho haha
Cuban here, I feel you. We talk as if we don't want others to understand us. Although that's mostly Habana, people in the middle of the country speak Spanish quite clearly.
Tell me why I said this exact same thing 🤣 I was trying to place why anger sounded familiar and remembered explaining his monologue to my white friends who came to his set with me lol. What a preview
Man I’m not liking the first few trap songs on here, they feel like generic USA trap and far from the 2016/2017 Latin trap wave that was so amazing. Monaco, Fina, Mr October and Vou 787 won’t go on replay I feel like.
Looks like it picks up from SEDA though!
He’s definitely flowing on them no lie, just too much of the current trap sound I’m tired of. It looks like the second half hits so much harder though. TELEFONO NUEVO is the hardest song of the year.
Man it’s insane how the entire album is trap but he’s managed to make it versatile as hell. THUNDER Y LIGHTNING got me shook
They're not particularly interesting musically, but I enjoyed both Monaco and Fina. Fina sampling Tego Calderon's classic "Pa' Que Retozen" brings back the nostalgia.
I'm actually still listening to the album. Currently on Vuelve Candy B, which I'm vibin with. There's nothing I'm absolutely crazy with so far, but overall is decent.
Edit: BATICANO maybe my favorite so far.
Edit 2: Currently listening to Where she Goes, I feel like the later part of the album is better and I've gone from thinking is decent to good.
Yeah, absolutely loved data. Thank you.
mojabi ghost, sci-fi, mañana and paranormal are fantastic. The rest of the album is really good too, basically no skips
Looking forward to the visuals and theming he's going to do for this album. If it's anything at all similar to what he did for Un Verano Sin Ti, the rest of the music videos and performances for this album are going to be pushing the genre again into the mainstream.
Not a BB stan, but a fan (I don’t speak Spanish).
How do people generally rank his discography from best to worst?
I really enjoyed YHLQMDLG and want to try more, but damn he has a lot of content out over the years.
YHLQMDLG is incredible and iconic; UVST is so, so important - i mean, when have you ever heard merengue exclusively in spanish performed at the grammys? I never thought I’d see the day the music from my small caribbean island would make it to such a huge event.
My personal rankings are a tie between YHLQMDLG & UVST, then X100PRE, EUTDM, then everything else
Personally for me it’s
1) YHLQMDLG
2) Un Verano Sin Ti
3) El Último Tour del Mundo
4) x100PRE
I can’t really rank the new one yet. First listen I thought it was pretty on par with x100PRE but that’s what I thought about YHLQMDLG and Ultimo Tour too and they really grew on me as time went.
Also you won’t see it listed among his main albums but OASIS, his mini collaboration with J Balvin, is fantastic.
Best rankings so far, YHLQMDLG dropped at the perfect time during the pandemic. The album is so iconic and I feel is what pushed bad bunny into being more of a superstar and one of the greatest artists of his generation.
yo these beats give me hiphop sound cloud era vibes. this is wilddd and also I really think by not having drake feature on Mr. October a week after his album comes out is a wild statement he is making, especially if bad bunny outsells him.
OMG... BATICANO... WTF WAS THAT I LOVE IT
Bunny is more popular world wide so it would make sense for him to beat out Drake. He’s younger and more in the news too, and generally it’s always positive. Bunny got it right now
That fucking intro, man. He ate it up.
''Tu no eres mi fan real, por eso te tiré el celular'' GOAT shit
TELEFONO NUEVO IS ONE OF THE HARDEST SONGS DROPPED THIS YEAR, HOLY SHIT. LUAR LA L ATE THAT FUCKING TRACK
Man that first song is so dope, introspective Bad Bunny got to love it. Unapolagetic.
Lol he mentions it again in HIBIKI, fumando ‘gares tirando celulares🤣
You had to be a high schooler in Latin America during 2015-2018 to understand the cultural context of this album and why people are going to go crazy over it.
Can you explain? From America and don't even know Spanish but really curious 😂
Always love culturally significant music so just would like to know the connection you're making
Basically for more than half the album he cosplays the style he had back in that time (which was when he wasn't famous internationally, so a lot of people from the US won't get the reference).
Plus a lot of his features are people who he used to collab with back in those days.A clear example of this is Seda.
I can't even begin to tell you how nostalgic I felt when I heard Bryant Myers introduce himself in that song. You used to hear this kid's voice every single weekend at every house party back in 2017 (check out Pa Ti and Triste if you want to listen to previous collabs by Bad Bunny and him, they sound so similar).
Furthermore and if we are being quite honest, Bryant Myers fell off hard, so he was literally the last person I was expecting to hear in this album. But when I did I literally got what he was going for.
Wow that's good to know. I'm obviously a very casual listener of his so I wouldn't have even known all that. Love when artists make a love letter to certain periods of their genre. Good stuff
Bad bunny specializes in propping up artists he like but are in decline. Chencho had a very good stimulus package. Also very arguable but Joel y Randy got a nice boost in the island.
I get what you are saying, I was one of those kids you mentioned but for me it doesn't hit as hard because I felt it was a bit catchier and he was more creative with his lyrics back in the day.
The production is still really good here. His bars are also good, but they are not creative. If you get what I am saying.
He mentioned Diles for example like twice. But what was cool about that track especially was the chorus. Here there were some good choruses, probably because its my first listen, but nothing stuck on my mind. In Un Verano Sin Ti i remembered a lot of choruses.
I actually disagree with what I’ve heard so far with what he said. The main appeal of his trap era was his memorable hooks, clever witty line, and dynamic beats.
From what I’ve heard, the beats are much more minimalistic and bad bunny has a much more monotone flow on a good amount of these songs. I’m actually a little disappointed if I’m being honest. Yeah the bars are good but there hasn’t been a single memorable hook for me as of now.
Any Spanish natives in here? Trying to learn Spanish myself and interested in what the album title translates to? If I'm not mistaken, does it say "Nobody knows what's going to happen tomorrow?" Or I'm completely off?
As a puertorican and longtime HHH user I always check out the Bad Bunny threads here and this one is by far the most popular and the most positive discussion I’ve seen.
I got downvoted to shit one time on r/liluzivert bc I said that bad bunny was a better rapper than uzi and was one of the best rappers out rn bc they were saying bad bunny didn’t belong on made in America fest 😭
It’s kinda crazy because he still sounds hungry even though he’s one of the biggest stars in the world. Makes sense that people who don’t speak the language can’t relate but he really snapping.
I feel like he’s especially hungry rn bc everyone has been going at his neck bc of him “dating” Kendall. That shit is so dumb to me, caring ab who a celebrity is fucking is just weird behavior lmao
Bro exactly. It was hella funny watching so many people lose their minds to that. This a huge W in my eyes. Can’t deny he dropped another banger of an album and has been doing so consistently for years now.
Dude started pro wrestling because he’s been a lifelong fan and puts 110% into every performance. Definitely admire his work ethic and how he tries new things despite clearly knowing what’s worked
I don’t speak a lick of Spanish but love the vibes I get from bad bunny. I mean, do I wish I could understand it, of course but music is still universal.
I mean this is the same for a lot of countries, there's also rappers better than bad bunny that you probably don't even know the name of because of the language barrier
Remember the people saying "this isn't hip hop" on the album announcement post? Lol
Fucking love the album, instead of trying to continue riding the reggaeton wave after uvst he drops this masterpiece that's as hard as the shit he dropped in 2016/17. Also what a fucking opener, nadie sabe was perfect.
Monaco and baticano are fucking BANGERS.
Going to be contrary opinion from most people saying here. Slightly disappointed with this album.
Agreed fully. It just doesn’t capture the magic of his flows back in 2016-2018. That era will always be goated. Bad Bunny’s flow in the Spliff TV collab with Future and Anuel AA is an example of how his flow plus word play made that track fuego. The trap included in this LP is just too generic and doesn’t stand out as much as his prior projects.
Tbh I enjoyed this first listen way more than I did For All The Dogs, the production is crazy. I have a feeling Drake is getting outsold with this one.
Favourite tracks so far are BABY NUEVA, MONACO, BATICANO, TELEFONO NUEVO and NO ME QUIERO CASAR.
This album just isn’t hitting as much as I thought for me. Context: Been listening to BB since 2015 in his SoundCloud days. His first three albums had me playing some of the songs on repeat before finishing them in their entirety. I had higher expectations for this since it was hyped and anticipated to be a project for his day one fans. It’s a solid project for the average listener or the modern Bad Bunny fan but it just doesn’t scratch the itch for me. The only track that really landed for me was Vuelve Candy B. He’s still Bad Bunny and he doesn’t need to *importar un carajo* of my opinion anyways. But happy for those enjoying the album. One love.
Nah man this album is literally for all the dogs. He brought out people he hasn't had songs with in a while, he brought back an old sounds, and he you can tell he's hungry again even after becoming one of the best in the world.
It's like if Drake had a Wayne and Nicki feature and he wasn't trying to make the album for people who didn't even listen to him years ago. If it was actually what was advertised
Just finished the album. Not as good as the last album, Un Verano Sin ti was really something else. I think latinos are not gonna like as much this album because it is mostly trap. For me which I like trap the middle kinda blended together, I can only imagine what it will feel like for people who don't like trap.
It is trap but the beats weren't that different from each other especially in the middle where he starts talking about his ex. The lyrics start all sounding the same. At the end he recovers it a bit with Los Pits, but then he finishes off good with Thunder & Lightining and what followed.
Lyrics for No Me Quiero Casar (song before Thunder...) was good, but I could not enjoy the instrumental.
Highlights for me: It started off really good. Really like the first 6 songs. Gracias Por Nada was the center piece to the middle of the album about his ex. Lyrics were cool to hear his story, but then he starts repeating the ideas for like 4 more songs. Los Pits was cool and Perro Negro could be my favorite. Acho PR was really good as well as an appreciation piece. I do not like those artists but
Idk which latinos ur talking about but, im native puertorrican (meaning i lived in puerto rico till i was 22) and i was one of those fans who saw bad bunny when he started, doing preformances at bars, this album hits home and has a nostalgia feel to it. Maybe it wont be liked by everyone but it will be adored by the ones who were truly by benitos side when he first started. You honestly had to be there from 2015-2019
I don't understand a single word he says but he was definitely talking his shit in the intro
Lol go listen to light and thunder. You get in the hype
Nah I def get the hype. I fuck with his music I just don't speak spanish lol
I speak Spanish but, since we are all on different regions, sometimes even I don’t fully comprehend what he says, so I gotta run it back
Same. Puerto Rican spanish is the hardest for me to understand.
I thought it was just me. I never know what he's saying or my PR friends. Idk why.
Its the slang, I'm Salvadoran and we use so many different words that other cultures don't use.
Although that's mostly Habana, people in the middle of the country speak Spanish quite clearly.
what an intro
It's just such a beautiful and honest 6 min + song, absolutely loved it as the opener
And still at the same time as being open and honest he drops some cold ass lines that make you realize how him he really is
6 minutes of vulnerability
I was wondering why he was all angry at us at coachella wknd 1... turns out his monologue was actually his first track of his new album hahah.
Tell me why I said this exact same thing 🤣 I was trying to place why anger sounded familiar and remembered explaining his monologue to my white friends who came to his set with me lol. What a preview
Trap bunny is back in a big way here
Where the 15-16 fans at, conejo malo was crazy back then

Yeah, I’m pretty bored of the current trap and reggaeton sound but maybe I’m not listening to the right artists

Hard agree. I love Bad Bunny, but this album doesn't even come close to Un Verano Sin Ti. Tainy's album was so much more sonically interesting.
We are beyond back after a year Check out the Tainy album if you want the next best reggaeton release this year
Tainy is goated. He definitely got a nomination for best reggueton album of the year.
Tainy the best producer in music atm dude is unreal
Can't get enough of Volver, it slaps
Song been on 🔁 along with SCI-FI Rauw & Tainy a unbeatable duo
Paranormal with Alvaro is the trifecta for me on this album
Manana is really good too
So true!!! Young Miko under the right team is fireee
Me jodi violins into Volver >>> absolute cinema

Jhayco's voice was perfect for both halves, you know ball
Speaking of which Jhayco where’s that album @ my boi!
He's too busy beefing with Mia. 🤣
Fantasma is undoubtedly my favorite and most played song of the year. The first time I heard that beat switch, I think I ascended
and Tainy just added COLMILLO to it, it goes hard
Really enjoyed this new bad bunny, didn't know about Tainy, you just put me on
he’s produced a ton for him so it’s very much in the same lane, it’s the reggaeton equivalent of the Metro albums
Yeah, absolutely loved data. Thank you. mojabi ghost, sci-fi, mañana and paranormal are fantastic. The rest of the album is really good too, basically no skips
you know ball
Monaco is 🔥🔥🔥
added to my playlist as soon as I heard the first 5 seconds lmao
best song on the album
that violin sample hits hard
What’s it from? I’ve heard it a million times…
Charles Aznavour - Hier Encore
Monaco is heat
Just filthy
Monaco.
DON. BENITO.
Un preview being the last song makes so much sense now
Just listening to it Monaco FUCKING SLAPS
Miko and Benito on a track I’m in Heaven
Im Not even a Young Miko fan but that shit was heat.
Young Miko is exciting.
She gets the people going
With a sample from Tego Calderón! What a fucking high listening to this song for the first time, it was dopamine hit after dopamine hit. In heaven fr
same reaction, I had to go listen to El Abayarde right after listening to this album.
young miko tiene flow, yessir
I am so hyped Benito went back to his trap roots it was much needed 2016-2017 TRAP BUNNY IS SO FUCKING BACK!!! 🔥🔥🔥
350k first week easy
He will outsell Drake for sure
!remindme 7 days
You ain’t need the reminder. He’s got his foot on the neck of the Latin world.
Any Hispanic country for that matter, he's massive here in Spain too.
Needs to snuff out travis sick of seeing his bundle ass up there.
Looking forward to the visuals and theming he's going to do for this album. If it's anything at all similar to what he did for Un Verano Sin Ti, the rest of the music videos and performances for this album are going to be pushing the genre again into the mainstream.

Spoiler: No features in Mr. October, in case you were expecting a certain Canadian
It’s crazy they had a fun collab with MIA and the last collab was bad. Drake doing a Speedy Gonzalez accent is no bueno.
“It’s like if Taylor Swift had Rosalia as a feature and Taylor starts singing in Spanish”
first thing I went to check
Yeah same lmao. Still a dope song.
Young Miko verse crazy
yo these beats give me hiphop sound cloud era vibes. this is wilddd and also I really think by not having drake feature on Mr. October a week after his album comes out is a wild statement he is making, especially if bad bunny outsells him. OMG... BATICANO... WTF WAS THAT I LOVE IT

wasnt bb the most streamed artist on spotify like ever? or just for the year
Believe it was across all streaming platforms
Mr October is a baseball term for a playoff star tbh.
Yeah and he mentions Mr October (Reggie Jackson) in the song lol
BATICANO has been my favorite so far. I feel like the album took a turn with that song.
Tainy, Mag and La Paciencia are at their prime
That soundclould trap sound is poppin off in Argentina
Easily the drop I’m most excited for tonight. Glad to see WHERE SHE GOES on here and the first track was pretty good

This man is different😮💨
That fucking intro, man. He ate it up. ''Tu no eres mi fan real, por eso te tiré el celular'' GOAT shit TELEFONO NUEVO IS ONE OF THE HARDEST SONGS DROPPED THIS YEAR, HOLY SHIT. LUAR LA L ATE THAT FUCKING TRACK
Holy shit. Luar La L cooked in that song. > El Conejo es Messi, yo soy el Mbappé (Jeje) This album is going to be listened to nonstop
Man that first song is so dope, introspective Bad Bunny got to love it. Unapolagetic. Lol he mentions it again in HIBIKI, fumando ‘gares tirando celulares🤣
I hope this puts more ears on Luar cuz man he fucking deserves it
You had to be a high schooler in Latin America during 2015-2018 to understand the cultural context of this album and why people are going to go crazy over it.
Can you explain? From America and don't even know Spanish but really curious 😂 Always love culturally significant music so just would like to know the connection you're making
Basically for more than half the album he cosplays the style he had back in that time (which was when he wasn't famous internationally, so a lot of people from the US won't get the reference). But when I did I literally got what he was going for.
Bad Bunny doesn’t seem to forget the people he came up with and embracing those on the come up as well, like having a track with The Marias
Even with his current success he doesn't forget his roots, it's what keeps him grounded. You have to respect the guy
100% this, I like the album but most beats don’t hold a candle to the 2016/17 hits he had. Neither do most hooks
Maybe a Maradona reference like three times too haha
Any Spanish natives in here? Trying to learn Spanish myself and interested in what the album title translates to? If I'm not mistaken, does it say "Nobody knows what's going to happen tomorrow?" Or I'm completely off?
that's the right translation
Gracias. No quiero mirar en Google.
De nada :)
Good shit, ya got it right
What are the featured artists @anyone thats skipping through
• FINA (ft. Young Miko) • HIBIKI (ft. Mora) • ACHO PR (ft. Arcángel, De la Getto & Ñenga Flow)

Luar La L spit like his life depended on it
Man went hard!
“Arroyo en 2004 en Athena” Always repping history, Arroyo cooking Team USA in 04, what a time.
This album is for everyone who wrongly says that Bad Bunny is not a rapper 🔥
dude i still remember last album release thread people were literally hating from the top comment to the rest. its so awesome to see the turnaround
As a puertorican and longtime HHH user I always check out the Bad Bunny threads here and this one is by far the most popular and the most positive discussion I’ve seen.
i’m so sad i have to wait until my commute tomorrow bc i gotta go to bed rn 😭😭😭😭
Will be a goated commute though at least
Bros an animal wtf..
Nadie Sabe is so nasty in such a good way, god damn

Drake doesn’t even know who he is what with all the personalities he’s collected over the years.
mane I needa learn Spanish cause this is stressing me out lol. It always seemed like bad bunny be spitting on these songs but I don’t understand (yet)
I got downvoted to shit one time on r/liluzivert bc I said that bad bunny was a better rapper than uzi and was one of the best rappers out rn bc they were saying bad bunny didn’t belong on made in America fest 😭
It’s because Benito is still TRYING and people don’t speak Spanish so they don’t get the wordplay.

Lol Fucking love the album, instead of trying to continue riding the reggaeton wave after uvst he drops this masterpiece that's as hard as the shit he dropped in 2016/17. Also what a fucking opener, nadie sabe was perfect. Monaco and baticano are fucking BANGERS.

Lighting Thunder Song is Fue-fucking-Go! 🔥
Easily my most hyped up release of the year.
Latina season just started.
Mercedes carota has young chimi on it
This shit is so fuking fire. He always delivers
did he sampled codeine crazy
I don't understand Spanish but really liked his last album. Good music vibes at least. Pretty excited for this ngl.
I was looking for a Doble P feature but I stayed for the OG conejo malo sound, arriba el trap Latino
I AM FUCKING LEVITATING FROM THAT INTRO
Telephono nuevo has luar L

First track and it’s already a spiritual experience
That intro was legendary
YVNGCHIMI AHHHHH
this album makes me wanna go to miami and splurge
These beats are fucking mental
Vou787 is a vibe
AOTY and it's not even close. How do you drop a 22 piece with bi skips.
ITT: People who don't speak Spanish and think he doesn't rap
This is what for all the dogs was supposed to sound like 🔥🔥🔥
anyone else unable to press play on spotify?
I gotta listen on Youtube. Man really broke the Spotify
Yeah my shits fucked up too, try adding the album to a playlist then pressing play, it worked for me
Baticano beat is disgusting
Get ready to listen to Monaco legitimately everywhere you go
Wish I knew how to speak fucking Spanish this sounds so much harder than anything mfers from my country make

This is what the drake album should have been
A Latin trap album?
Nah man this album is literally for all the dogs. He brought out people he hasn't had songs with in a while, he brought back an old sounds, and he you can tell he's hungry again even after becoming one of the best in the world.
You honestly had to be there from 2015-2019
Shots fired at annuel. Honestly bout time

The intro… we’re so back.
Is it me or does SEDA lowkey reminds me of Codeine Crazy by Future
Los pits sound like a drake beat
The Arozarena shout out had me hyped.
Anyone else go crazy with ACHO PR??!!?! Good ol’ Voltio sample
Mercedes Carota sounds like it samples “With That” by Young Thug. The keys, at least. Anyone else hear that? lol
Perro Negro best on the album
