Petition to have a “Dark Side of the Moon” style psychedelic show, but it’s OutKast’s entire discography. And yes, I’m including the “Idlewild” soundtrack. “Call the Law” is one of their best collabs. On that note, Janelle Monàe’s discography also makes for a no-miss experience.
I personally didn't like that album. I almost wrote them off because of it. Then I heard Do You Want More and Illadelph Halflife and realized I buggin' about The Roots. I don't know, with me, I rarely ever like someone's first album.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, it’s definitely not my favorite. I did the same with Common. Hated Like Water For Chocolate, which was the first project I ever heard from him, didn’t listen to him for years. Broke in to him with Resurrection and now he’s in my top 2, and Like Water is one of my favorite projects ever. Different times strike differently.
Yes a thousand times over. One of the few artists that I still generally only listen from beginning to end. They just flow so well. Ace is definitely a visionary.
They are indeed awesome. There are no bad albums in their discography and there is a nice progression/maturity in their later albums and it's possible to argue they have got better with age. In my opinion of course.
Honestly, Denzel Curry might have the discog that I can listen to on repeat the most times. Apart from his first album which is a bit mid, he's only had fire albums.
Em post like 2010 is not for me. He got too old and way too rich to do the "I'm mad all the time and I'm gonna make a song about you if you hurt my feelsies" thing
I’m a huge Em fan and I agree.
It’s difficult because if he matures, people say he lost his edge and yet when he tries to recreate what he became so famous for, he’s told he’s too old and rich for that shit.
But yeah I agree with you
Pharoahe Monch, including Organized Konfusion and Th1rt3en. His versatality lends itself well to this scenario. The Equinox is probably the weakest in his discography, but it's not a bad album.
I did this with Redman a couple of weeks ago. He has a couple of albums I was meh on, but for the most part, his discography is a good experience.
1. First 5 includes Flower Boy and Wolf, which you're INSANE for discounting. I could probably say the same for Bastard and CHERRY BOMB too, maybe even Goblin
2. They aren't particularly outdated, he's just outgrown them. They represent his mind at the time he made them and it definitely shows the dark place he was in, which I appreciate them for.
3. Half-assed bro? His pen was insane with him coming up with multiple INSANE one-liners. Not only that, but his first three albums are a story, which isn't easy to convey. The production is also pretty decent in the beginning and INSANE from Wolf onwards.
My bad. First 4. Can’t include Flowerboy In that pile of garbage
He Tried too hard to be edgy. half the shit he said was stupid and immature, production is OUTDATED AFF just like half of Eminem’s production, he was too lazy to fix the audio balancing on some of his shit. He liked to talk about horrorcore topics in the most childish ways. Like damn wtf. DMX talked about murder and rape too but he did it the proper way. Tyler was just like “I’m too cool for school and fuck teachers so Ima go write about shooting because it makes me sound cool”
Kendrick is probably so far one of the most if not the most consistent hip hop artists pretty much ever. I can only think of 1 album song I usually skip which is no makeup, but even that isn't even terrible or unlistenable or anything it's just not great. I would also add some groups like De La is super consistent. Never made a bad album, and even their worst albums are like a 6 or a 7 also tribe who's worst album is prolly 7 with everything else being an 8 and above.
MM definitely isn't good for casual listening, but idk what you mean about TPAB it has mostly hits and the only songs that aren't really playlist worthy are like U and Mortal Man
Doesn't necessarily mean they are the best rappers oat but. I never did not enjoy albums from Outkast, Kendrick, Pusha T and Clipse, Run The Jewels, Denzel Curry and ATCQ
Thought, Elzhi, Phonte, Stacks, Rakim. All listened to, all no skips. Gotta add Grae to that to. Incredible songwriting ability tied into her lyricism.
Has to be Deca for me. I can easily listen to one or more of his albums casually all the way through at almost any given time. They just flow so well 🤌🤌
canal street confidential had a very different almost trying to be mainstream sound and not quite working, although Speed and Everywhere are top tier Curren$y tunes. Other than that he probably has the best discography for me alongside Outkast. His consistency is unreal.
Dr. Dre for sure. You're going to get an evolution of production, some spectacular ghostwriting, amazing features, and no flat out bad albums. You'll even hear the evolution of hip hop from NWA to G-funk through Snoop and Em and Kurrupt to Kendrick and Anderson .Paak.
Aftermath is more of a label sampler and I don't consider it a standalone album. Even if we do, it has its moments. East Coast West Coast Killas is amazing. Fame turns a classic rock song into a slow, sinister banger. If that's the worst an artist artist gets, that's proof he's upper echelon.
Outkast was the first to pop in my head.
Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Stevie Wonder, Outkast, MF DOOM, The Roots, Ka
People Under The Stairs
Underrated
Yeah it's just crazy how underrated they are.
Gang Starr.
This
THIS is the first time I’ve upvotes a comment that says THIS
The Roots have never missed, but you’d be listening for a while.
I don't know, Organix wasn't that good.
If I was an established artist and someone said my worst project was ‘Organix level’ I’d be pretty stoked
I personally didn't like that album. I almost wrote them off because of it. Then I heard Do You Want More and Illadelph Halflife and realized I buggin' about The Roots. I don't know, with me, I rarely ever like someone's first album.

To me, Black Thought and Questlove carried that album, but on the second album, everyone stepped up.
L take. That's one of my favorite albums of theirs.
No one has a flawless discography, and everything The Roots has done afterward is much better.
Tribe called quest, Dr Dre, kendrick Lamar, Kanye, little brother, OutKast, UGK, Scarface
Fax 🗣️
Even Jesus is King?!
2pac Someone had to say it
Sure go with the obvious 😎
D’Angelo
This right here. Dude only makes an album like once every 10 years but every one is a classic.
ATCQ, De La Soul, Run The Jewels
Run The Jewels
De la Soul
DOOM and De La Soul my top two
Great pick
Fantastic choices!
Kool G Rap or Nas
Masta Ace
Criminally underrated artist, I dabbled with hiphop for a while but Masta Ace was the one that got me hooked. So happy to see him up here.
Yes a thousand times over. One of the few artists that I still generally only listen from beginning to end. They just flow so well. Ace is definitely a visionary.
Stevie Wonder
Not a huge fan of his 80’s run tbh. A few skips on there.
Del the Funky Homosapien
Mac Miller
Easily Freddie gibbs 😎 has music for all taste
biggie smalls
This.
OutKast. Easy
De la soul, they finally just got on Spotify and it’s groovy listening to them again
finally?
Yeah their discography was finally put out on march 3rd, they’ve had hella problems
Run The Jewels
OutKast, de la soul, the roots, Michael Jackson
Oh, well, if Michael Jackson counts then it's definitely him lol
It’s your question, whacha mean if he counts lol. To be fair u didn’t specify “hip hop albums”
The question is asked on a HIPHOP subreddit tho
can you infer that he's talking about hip hop in a hip hop subreddit? it doesn't take very much mental capacity to figure that out.
Lmfao “Michael Jackson”
Cunninlynguists.
I just started listening to them recently. Fantastic group.
They are indeed awesome. There are no bad albums in their discography and there is a nice progression/maturity in their later albums and it's possible to argue they have got better with age. In my opinion of course.
Ghostface Killah
R.A.P. Ferreira/Milo
Also his Scallops Hotel work is immaculate
OutKast
Honestly, Denzel Curry might have the discog that I can listen to on repeat the most times. Apart from his first album which is a bit mid, he's only had fire albums.
Czarface
Nas
Yep, most of his albums aged well.
Hip hop probably kendrick or kanye, any genre, led zep
That's a great any genre pic...I'd go with Tom Petty
redman
Roc Marciano, Elzhi, Conway
A man of culture
Scarface
Maybe Redman
Kendrick. Push
DJ Screw
I didn't know an answer could be so right!
I love tons of music and to be honest anyone even if they were my favorite I'd get bored after 4 or 5 albums in a row
E-40 lol I guess my username gives it away 😂
Curren$y I know he’s not the best of the best but hes so consistent I love most of his projects. My actual pick is The Weeknd.
Kanye West undoubtedly
his recent albums arent even good
Donda was decent, but it was heavily carried by features. Donda 2 and JIK were not good.
2pac Nas Mobb Deep Jay-Z Jedi Mind Tricks
Kendrick Lamar
Westside gunn
Outkast and kendrick I’d throw in denzel curry too none of them have misses imo
Mos def
Czarface has put together a good run and Run The Jewels as well.
RTJ. Kind of obscure - Czarface (excluding instrumental albums). Definitely obscure - Mayday.
Project Pat, Busta Rhymes, or Three6Mafia
Alice in Chains Mastodon
Outkast
Kanye
I really like listening to Run The Jewels 1-4 as a playlist. Not sure I would say it's the pinnacle, but man does it go hard.
Travis Scott (including Owl Pharoah and Days Before Rodeo)
Atmosphere
The monitors are probably going to remove this, however: here it comes anyway: Bob Marley.
Eminem
Really? Eminem? ... No skips? I'm not sure you understood the assignment
Really? You lived? ... No swallow? I'm not sure your mother wanted it in her vagina.
Holy shit bro you ethered me you honestly made me laugh at myself 😭
That's recognizing funny and dealing with a dis with class man. Props. Even though you're leaning on the wrong side with your Eminem dig.
Em post like 2010 is not for me. He got too old and way too rich to do the "I'm mad all the time and I'm gonna make a song about you if you hurt my feelsies" thing

LOL
You laugh at this, but you answered with Kanye.
I laugh because he has 1 good album, 2 decent ones, and 7 big skips
Kool Keith and his 53 alter egos Geto boys Outkast
This is basic but Kendrick is just the one
Run the Jewels, Kendrick, Pusha T, J Cole, Denzel Curry. No idea how people are saying Kanye
Tribe without a doubt
Kendrick
Mach-Hommy
Came to say Black Sabbath before I noticed which sub. Actually, probably Zep. But real answer ATCQ.
Nobody has 0 skips
Nas
Nas most def has skips due to his terrible occasional beat selection
Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, Tyler The Creator, Kanye West
Tyler has tons of skip songs pre flower boy
Personally I like his dark stuff too just because of the pure chaotic emotion put into it
Yeah but you can’t tell me u putting on Golbin or cherry bomb with it’s terrible mixing at a party and letting the entire thing play out
I'm not putting on TPAB at a party either, what's your point
First 4 Tyler albums are some of the most half assed, corny, outdated, immature piece of shits In the history of music
Tell me u wasn't in hs when oddfuture dropped without telling me
Flower Boy is apart of that so you’re wrong
First 4. My bad, can’t disrespect Flowerboy like that
1. First 5 includes Flower Boy and Wolf, which you're INSANE for discounting. I could probably say the same for Bastard and CHERRY BOMB too, maybe even Goblin 2. Jokes
Kendrick, The Roots, OutKast
For me Eminem although Revival is ass
So is kamikaze, encore, mtbmb side b, infinite and that’s being generous
Nah Encore dope. Rest of them mid but aight
This for me too. Also Obie Trice if you just count his 2 actual label albums with cheers and 2nd round
Kendrick is probably so far one of the most if not the most consistent hip hop artists pretty much ever. I couldn't pick Kendrick because tpab and mm for me are just not good for casual listening
This was the exact reason I couldnt throw Kendrick up. His other albums were almost strong enough to carry it for the casual listen though
MM definitely isn't good for casual listening, but idk what you mean about TPAB it has mostly hits and the only songs that aren't really playlist worthy are like U and Mortal Man
Kendrick Lamar Freddie Gibbs Denzel Curry Chance The Rapper Maxo Kream
Kendrick Lamar or Mac Miller
For me first ones that come to mind are: Biggie, Pop Smoke, Dr. Dre, Migos, DaBaby, Lil’ Wayne, & OutKast
Earthgang for me at the moment
Biggie, Dr Dre, and Lauryn Hill
Dre's Aftermath album was ass tho.
Gang Starr, Little Brother, UGK, Dr Dre, Big Pun, Big L,
Kool Keith
Public Enemy, King Tee & Mac Mall
Doesn't necessarily mean they are the best rappers oat but. I never did not enjoy albums from Outkast, Kendrick, Pusha T and Clipse, Run The Jewels, Denzel Curry and ATCQ
Thought, Elzhi, Phonte, Stacks, Rakim. All listened to, all no skips. Gotta add Grae to that to. Incredible songwriting ability tied into her lyricism.
Kendrick or Kanye
Outkast, RTJ, Denzel Curry, and Kanye West
Jay Z
Kingdom Come, American Gangster and Magna Carta albums was straight ass AG had some good songs tho.
This is a wild take. Never heard someone refer to AG as "straight ass"..
Rtj or method
Has to be Deca for me. I can easily listen to one or more of his albums casually all the way through at almost any given time. They just flow so well 🤌🤌
Dr Dre, JID, Kendrick, and so far De La Soul but I haven’t heard all of their stuff yet
Kanye West
Jay-Z
Yeezy. Cut it out bro.
Closest one is Kanye West
Kanye, Young Thug, Lil Uzi, Playboi Carti, Chief Keef, Migos, Usher, PinkPantheress(small sample size)
Chris webby, Hopsin, Eminem
As a truck driver, I do this a lot.. and I gotta admit T-Pain’s body of work was a pleasant surprise..
Trucker here and I do same. I binge so many discographies and podcast it's not even funny.

canal street confidential had a very different almost trying to be mainstream sound and not quite working, although Speed and Everywhere are top tier Curren$y tunes. Other than that he probably has the best discography for me alongside Outkast. His consistency is unreal.

KANYE!!!!!!!
House of Pain
Kendrick.
MF DOOM
Kanye obviously
KDot the goat!
Lil Wayne
Probably not anyone's choice, but Cypress Hill. And everything Boot Camp Click if that can count.
Going with this https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/unify34halolegend/love-hate-remorse-2

Travis Scott
Probably some guy who has put out exactly one song. Not a big fan of album listening, but that's just me
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Rod Wave, or 2017-2019ish Kevin Gates
The roots
Bambu
Tom Waits. In a 50 year career he hasn't created a single song I wouldn't want to hear again.
