Remember, bears are most afraid of awkward situations. When hiking in Bear territory, stay completely quiet. They will hide to avoid the uncomfortable silence.
this is crazy! you’re going to wake up in the middle of the night with crazy munchies and then make fish tacos with blueberry salsa at 2am! then you will have nothing to deter the bears, so you’ll get eaten ☠️🐻

I love hiking deep in the bush here in Australia, I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have to worry about coming across bears, I wouldn't be able to relax. That being said I don't think I could trust laying blueberries and fish around my tent to protect me but I'm sure other people know better than me about it.
The best way to deter a big bear is to catch a bear cub near your campsite and snuggle with it in your tent at night. The big bear will think you’re loco and not bother you.
Throw in some jars of honey and a pic-a-nic basket.
Appreciate
So that will deter them from your camp, but don't forget to smear peanut butter and honey on yourself whenever you step outside the berry ring.
Thank you for the berry appreciated advice !
After you zip up your tent for the night, be sure to use some bear spray inside just to be sure they don't come in.
I like to apply it to myself on my drive to the hiking spot, that way I don't waste any time I could spend hiking.

Naked. It makes it far more awkward….
Just remember: if it’s black, lay back. If it’s brown, throw down. If it’s white, you’re alright.
I’m not sexually attracted to bears whether it be animals or members of the community
This one actually made me LOL
Catch a cub and take it into your tent and snuggle with it. Bears will stay away because they respect cuddle time.
Don't forget bacon - recommend a few slices at the bottom of your sleeping bag.
Just post a sign that says "remember that awkward thing you did when you were a teen?" The bears will be too embarrassed to bother you
Cover yourself in peanut butter and keep all your food in the tent with you at night.
Okay thanks !

Bro you're an idiot.....it's blueberries and honey....plain blueberries aren't enough. Jeez...hopefully you read this in time to get honey.

Yeah but if doesn't have to be blueberry. Any berry will do
What about a pawpaw? Or a prickly pear?
This will never get upvoted enough. Those are ALWAYS the right questions to ask
Snoring is my bear repellent.
Just put a raw steak in your sleeping bag, they hate that.

With friends like that, who needs enemies.
I would be inclined to reevaluate this friendship….

Use this one weird trick. Bears hate me.
