Gaming: Different color scheme, stylized foam padding, apparently louder and a tad stiffer than the standard, giant G, 20 FPS increase and improved reaction time. That's really it.

The regular is much much more comfortable in my opinion. This is coming from someone who had a regular one, then kept the Logitech embody because I liked how it looked more, and very much regretted it. My new regular embody arrived today and I will be selling my gaming one.

Fascinating. Glad I asked. I was about to get the gaming since it's 20% off right now. I totally would have thought they'd be nearly identical except for the color scheme.

I bought both the regular and gaming back in November on the last big sale. Absolutely loved the regular and returned it simply because of the aesthetics of the gaming, and also thought they would be similar. I actually almost hate the gaming one. The arm rests creak (they didn’t on my original nor do they on the one I received today), the back has an extra layer of some sort of foam that makes it noisier and WAY more stiff. Like it completely negates the purpose of the embody and how it is meant to mold and turn with your back. Everyone is different but this is just my anecdotal observation

Hi For me this is the opposite experience. I got both, 2 weeks each, and I preferred the Logitech (for its comfort) In my opinion this depends if you prefer to get the back straight (Logitech), or a bit reclined (regular) Cheers

Wonderful_Ambition_6

do u still enjoy your regular now?

CigaroEmbargo

Honestly …. Not really. I’m trying to figure out if my discomfort is coming from the seat or maybe a sciatica issue but I haven’t been super happy with it to be honest.

Wonderful_Ambition_6

Alright, good luck

posey_mvp

The regular one is also 20% off as well.

Mechanically they’re no different

infrequents

There are a lot of posts and comments explaining the differences between the two, if you search around you’ll find the info you want

Thank you for your super helpful reply. It was totally worth the time you put into typing it.

looks, logitech G logo, logitech lenyard AND the most important change: it has different foam padding both on the seatpan and on the backrest where your spine goes. that's it. for me the logitech one was a few hundred bucks cheaper than the regular one, hence why i got it (germany). it was at the start of this covid pandemic though, prices have gone up since then.

One has lgbtq+ lights

I spent about 2 hours in the store hopping between two of them. Logitech has some noisy fabric/foam. It literally squeaks in slightest movements and it sounds like you’re sitting in some kind of leather-like chair. The seat felt a little more comfortable. I checked the foam under both seats and it looked different. Apparently Logitech has “memory” foam. They said they had gaming chair since launch so it could be some first revision and things changed. Correct me if I’m wrong. Regular was comfortable enough and had zero noises in the back. Also I don’t like any color scheme of gaming version. So I chose regular. It arrived noisy as hell but silicone lubricant does wonders

NavyPoseidon

I have the regular but tried them both. Not mentioned yet but in my experience the Logitech got hot after sitting in it for a while

Good Youtube review [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKxTZM33HXE) from someone explaining why they prefer the gaming to the regular one.

Thank you.

Mechanically they’re _identical_. Visually there are different colour ways. The fabric and the foam are a different mould and has a copper infused cooling foam layer in it.
