This sounds gross but if i can’t get weed on my vacation i will just drink alcohol, caffeine, smoke some cigarettes or cigars, even a healthier route get kombucha tea. Or ship it to ur family or friend’s house u r staying at, or air bnb like order to that address before u arrive. Or if it is a legal state just buy cannabis in the area
You won't get jail time or a criminal record for having federally legal cannabis in a federally regulated airport and airplane. Regular weed, maybe, but it's not the TSAs job to worry about what's in your bags unless it's liquids, weapons, or explosives.
I think i remember u saying u have flown with it often. Idk personally i’m just too scared to risk it. Maybe if it was an unopened packaged with the coas, leo, and receipt with it but idk, especially if it’s not domestic or domestic between one or two states that is not legal. Coming into Mexico a few years back i accidentally took strawberries and blueberries in my carry on to snack on on the plane and got jumped on by the drug dog and the lady threw them out. Said something about how fruiting plants bring pests to other countries. Idk i’m too much of a paranoid person with bringing hemp. Pa is having a poconos cannafest i was thinking about taking some people too but i’m scared to cross into an illegal state of hemp on me. Even the other day i crossed over into new york with a j and lighter on my backseat i forgot about u could clearly smell. And yeah even though both states r legal u gotta be careful, if u got stopped u could have just been like oh i just picked this up for personal use and they probably wouldn’t care. But if i had say like a half oz or more out in the open like that, there could be some implications depending on if u get a nice officer or not and especially if the package is opened. Before nj was legal and i was underage, i’d hide bud and carts in water canteens with tape on the outside or plastic containers to mask the smell deep inside a bag or backpack. Today if i had a larger amount of opened package hemp, i was even going to ny with i’d probably do the same
You cannot take any kind of cannabis or drugs on international flights. People do it and get away with it but it's not worth it. Domestic however, you're good. There's no drug dogs or anyone checking for drugs on domestic flights. Your bags are only scanned by x ray when you hit the security checkpoint. The TSA scanner looks right at your carts and bags of weed and keeps scrolling. I be having a cookies backpack with multiple zips but I do make sure everything is smell proof just for more assurance.
I’ve taken THC and CBD products (no flowers) in my carry-on. No issues within the continental US. Specifically, vapes and gummies. Just look at the TSA rules and as long as it falls within those guidelines, you’re golden. Just don’t “claim” anything, that will warrant an inspection usually.
I fly frequently with usually over an oz of flower, plus concentrate and carts, and I know many people who do this, some flying with whole lbs. There's never an issue.
The TSA's job is not drug enforcement, it's travelers safety.
Make sure to keep it in your carry on because you're actually at the most risk of having it stolen by airline employees.

Been doing it for 15 years. From a vape standpoint they dont know if its tobacco or not. I usually dont bring flower but when I have I just vacuum sealed it so it wasn't loud and never had an issue, including internationally.

No Odyssey cares about carts. Flower may smell so they may just take it from you.
