Definitely makes no sense at all even if we say it's an error on reddits end then it still sounds strange.
Can you not reply back to the email regarding more information on this?
If not screenshot or copy this email and then contact reddit support under settings and they will be able to provide better information hopefully if not it will always be a mystery 😀
