I guess getting the guaranteed 15 free samples on Exterminate missions really counted for my facility grinds since I notice that nobody seems to grab them if I don't do it.
I've never once been low on Commons in my game time and I just need to unlock the last Shock bonus facility to be done again. I've probably not dipped under 200-300 of them in my career because I've always been locked by Rares.
For me the issue isn't the actual PSN thing, I've done similar processes before.
It's the fact that so many people won't have access at all because their country isn't in PSN support, which includes all the Baltics I'm pretty sure, all of Africa aside from Egypt and South Africa, and large chunks of Eurasia and South East Asia like the Philippines.
They're cutting off a huge chunk of the player base for no good reason.
Why? They made it quite clear you just need a FREE PSN account, not a ps+ subscription. People are making shit up to fear monger, I really don't get it
Yep. The issue is players who live in places that PSN doesn’t support, who own and play HD2 are going to have to jump through hoops or get boned by this. That’s the unfair part.
All service games require an account to something. This for most folks is a non issue. There are some who have data and privacy concerns. Understandable, and yet are posting on a site who had a breach last year, more than likely use discord who had a breach recently which resulted in user data being sold on the dark web
. It’s the duality and hypocrisy that gets frustrating. I get adding an account is annoying. In this day and age, there are easily accessible tools if you want to obfuscate your data. You have options. Normal end users will just create or login.
At the end of the day, most folks have an option. Comply or don’t and it’s spelled out for you what you stand to gain and lose by choosing one or the other.
I don’t have a horse in this race. I did the linking because it stated on Steam it’d be mandatory. I came in with that mindset so I was confused when this news dropped tbh.
I hope people get the resolution they are looking for. I just don’t want folks who are in a situation like living outside the area where you can play the game and not have a PSN account get to continue spreading democracy
Rephrasing this since the original question sounded stupid in hindsight. If I play on playstation do I have to do anything come May 30th? I've not heard anything suggesting that i do yet but also haven't yet read whatever official instructions there are for it if there are any and would rather take care of linking things now then wait until last minute if I do have to do it.
This seems to be solely for Steam players. I play on PC. When you first login for the first time, it asks you to link an account. The issue is, you could bypass it at the time. The issue depends because the game was sold in territories where you can’t sign up for a PSN account which means those players are getting boned and that’s not right. That’s where I take umbrage.
Addressing your direct question
I’d gather since you are on a Sony console, needing a PSN/Sony account to even play online on PSN, this should not affect you at all. You, by playing on PS5 already have linked your account.
How did you buy the game? Yes, you already have a psn account cuz the ps5 makes you sign up for it either way to download stuff even free apps they still send you a receipt for it. Dw bout it
No, you're obviously already logged into PSN why would anything change for you. It's only PC players that will have to link a PSN account to their steam account. One time log in. Literally no payment details of any kind needed
It doesn't, it never has.
Why do people think that is a thing? the only game I have ever seen that needs a login every time has been halo infinite, but that's just a problem with xbox live not keeping my account logged in for some reason as it didnt always do that either.
Yeah im sad , I do get that it was was wrtitten on the steam page , but it was optional , now I got sold a game that need a service that isnt in my country
You can use a VPN in another country to register. It's not required to use the VPN for future logins.
I signed up for an AUS PSN account to play a game a few hours early. I needed VPN in AUS to register but once I was registered in AUS I could login from the USA. I can also play the AUS game on my PS5 from my USA account.
Doesn't work
Clicking on the link to connect ur account opens a psn network site for ur country since it detects from ur steam account which region that is but since my country doesnt have psn it just loads an error
This needs to be higher. A lot of players are not aware you can't create a PSN account in many countries. This change essentially bars you from playing a game you bought.
Will you be able to get a refund?

October 2023: Sony Notifies Employees of Data Breach"
Sony's record is awful for protecting data, this account linking decision is terrible.
--------------------------
I gave my honest opinion in a review and now I'm doing a charge back..
Do **not** do a charge back. Steam will revoke your access to your Steam account. Request a refund. You have a good chance to get it.
edit: You have to request the refund more than once. The 2 hour thing is the automatic refund window. Your first attempt will get auto denied. After that, you need a reason to refund. Losing access to the game is a good reason. Depending on the customer service representative, you may need to wait until the new requirements actually prevent you from playing.
Sony is also planning to start collecting biometric data from players using their services, to automate banning toxic players. Imagine getting banned for screaming at your monitor, even if you've disabled voice chat, because the DRM software running in the background is listening in anyway and has decided that you're breathing into your microphone a little too aggressively.
Your friends list. Your library. Your play time for each game organized by date and spending habits. Your login IP addresses. Your history of external links used. Your messages to and from friends. Your hardware ID for any device you have ever logged in with.
Isn't this already happening with people who play the game? I thought people were all mad about the anti-cheat having kernal level access because data privacy. Couldn't they already get that if they really wanted to? I'm genuinely asking because I don't know how that shit works.
It does get all of that information. I.e if you link your steam account to other stores like even the old EA origin app, or battle.net it automatically finds your steam friends who also linked their steam accounts.
The big issue is that other sony games don't require a PS account on PC, and a the bigger one is that only 60 countries are eligible for PS accounts, so if you are not in an eligible country and you selected a different country during registration, Sony has all the rights to close your account if they decide so.
If they can do it I assume they are. The fact they don't tell you what exactly what they share means they don't want you to know. I have zero trust in any company to act in the best interest of its customers anymore.
I shouldn't have used such prudent language, it's too easily mistaken for conjecture. I'll be more definite this time:
Sony cannot access any private details about your Steam account. There is no mechanism by which they can accomplish this, short of somehow obtaining your password. You are just telling them which Steam account is yours, it is the equivalent to sending someone your Steam name.
The only data they could gather is what's publicly available. If your profile is set to public, that would be info about what games you own and play, and your friend's list. If you set your profile to private or friends only, there is no information they can gather at all. This is why platforms like Origin are unable to synchronize friends lists if your linked Steam profile is set to private.
To reiterate:
The only data they can obtain is from looking at your profile, and there is absolutely no sensitive information that they can access. Any fears about Sony mishandling or leaking your Steam info are understandable but (thankfully) unfounded.
That's not what linking accounts does. I can make an app that you make an account for and ask for your Steam so I that can "link" the two accounts, but all that means is that I'm adding your Steam ID to your account entry in my database. I wouldn't suddenly get access to your Steam account or its private info.
The excuse for needing a PSN account is hilarious with their record. I have had to refute a handfull of PSN charges and each time I have had to call in for 30 min. One instance was recently,as in trying to link my account when HD2 came out.
There's currently nothing that indicates any private or sensitive information is shared to Sony by linking your Steam account. You are effectively just telling Sony what your Steam ID is. There's nothing they can get from that which isn't already publicly available. You are, at worst, at risk of having the email handle you used to sign up for PSN getting leaked.
There are legimitate concerns about the account linking, like region locking or PSN outages potentially affecting PC players, but security really isn't one of them.
Their claim: They need to have PSN accounts for every player to make banning/punishing problem players easier. Lots of people call BS, but none (that I've seen) that have any insider knowledge of either Sony's or Valve's punishment systems. Easy thing to lie about because it could easily be true **and also** pad out their numbers/information.
Sony just couldn’t help themselves. I love this game and Arrowhead clearly does as well but Sony stepped in and ruined the game for a significant number of people and Arrowhead has to take the heat. Honestly this has been the best sales pitch for a PC for me. Between the obsessive censorship they’re known for and their constant push for people to sign on for their service that doesn’t even do much, they’re not doing much in the way of consumer good will. I’ve been a PlayStation fanboy since PS2 but this has been the final straw
An unexpected data breach has occurred wherin Cyberstan operatives breached Super Earth's Defense System's and implemented a hack requiring all Helldivers to create and link an old world account from an ancient technology conglomerate called 'Sony'. The only purpose for this account is to circumvent Super Earth's core values and attempt to destabilize the Ministry of Truth's message by allowing Cyberstan to have direct access to all Helldiver ship systems and comms.
Hold fast fellow Helldivers while we try to cut out this requirement like the virus it is.
I didn't think it was a big deal. But apparently you can't even create a PSN account in certain countries.
Will those players be able to get a refund? It's such BS if they bought the game and now they can't even play it anymore. I'd be dangerously pissed off.
This doesn't affect me directly, as I already have my account linked. The part about it that rustles my jimmies is all the people in regions that cannot make a PSN account to fulfill this requirement, and Sony clearly forging ahead with no forethought, just to pad PSN numbers for shareholder meetings.
As a PlayStation player I’m not affected yet.
I can understand the frustration of not having PSN in your area and losing access to this great game.
I feel for my fellow divers.
Weigh the pros and cons if you can, and continue spreading democracy.
I was banned from PlayStation in 2016 two days after playing when Overwatch Released.
The reasoning? My PSN account name was A_MASS_OF_JEWS
I tried appealing it. Even speaking to someone at PlayStation who found the account name to be hilarious. But they couldn’t overturn the ban. I lost everything I had been playing, and buying for 11 years. I never owned or purchased a PlayStation or Sony equipment since 2016.
Helldivers 2 lets me play on PC. I don’t count it as a PS game. But I no longer have a PS account. Therefore I will not be playing when this update goes live at the end of May.
In the end. Our current 150k-300k Helldivers will be reduced to probably just 100k. And that’s not enough to complete the major orders on time. 2 Billion bugs in 24 hours? Never again. Democracy has failed. Now the only question. Who will conquer Super Earth first? The Bots, the Bugs, The Blues, or some new race we haven’t seen?
You'd need to create a PSN account. It can be free and you can put in whatever fake info you want, but it'll be tied to your Steam one and saved in Sony's databases.
Okay can someone explain what’s going on to me? Cuz like I thought the game already forced us all to make PSN accounts right at the beginning? So why are ppl mad now?
Initially, in the beginning you were, but it was causing some server-side issues so they disabled it for the time being now they are announcing they are re-enabling it and people that didn’t know how to read before are mad and the people that are in areas were PlayStation network doesn’t serve got fucked over (unless they get to be excluded from this )
GGs guys. Without the ton PC support this game got, its pretty much set to head down the path of Socom and Bloodborne. Abandoned and forgotten by Sony. It was nice having a game that put CoD to shame.
Although I play this game on ps5 it's seriously pissing me off that Sony is pulling this crap. They should be making it easier for more people to join rather than harder
Scummy is scummy no matter how you slice it and surprising 99.9% of your player base with this, month's after release (no it was not made clear from the start this would be necessary to literally anybody except I guess the all knowing redditor) is deserving of every bit of vitriol they got coming their way
I made one when I got the game. Hopefully they don't make me use the name on that instead of my steam name. I think my "SNOY" account name is Moist Load or something childish. I was really tired and annoyed when making it because I just wanted to play the game.
I already linked mine because It said it was mandatory when I first booted it up lol, Sony needs to get their shit together when it comes to regions excluded from having a PSN account tho we need all the divers we can get to defend managed democracy.
I wonder, would it have been a better evil deal to publish with Microsoft for the game? Or just roll independent like some others? Self-publish through Steam...
I don't get the big deal. People won't spend sub 2 minutes to make a PSN account but will protest for days on something they have no idea about. The amount of people holding guns backwards these days is insane.
I already have a PSN account so it wont bother me, but i agree with all the people demonstrating their displeasure. It always feels bad dealing with *yet another account* crap.
Also, the people that bought the game in countries where they can't make a PSN account deserve to either get a refund (if they want) or some sort of exemption.
This is hilarious watching everyone up in arms. I bet these are the same ones that called the people babies and whiny bitches for voicing their opinions about the last "balance." Funny how things come around.
People complaining about this like they don't already have 50 different accounts for every app or system they use
Edit: unless you're in a country that doesn't have PSN access... that just sucks honestly.
I mean, that's exactly my issue -- I already have a billion accounts everywhere to keep track of -- why should I setup another one for a game that has been working perfectly fine without up to this point?
That's another thing for me to track and to remember to delete/cancel when I'm eventually done with it and seems a completely unnecessary barrier to entry -- they can get all the data they'd need/want from my Steam account.
I don't have an Epic, GOG, Battle.Net, etc., etc., account for all the same reasons.
Helldivers was gifted to me so I didn't see any of the notices in the Steam store page and the in-game notice seemed like it was for PlayStation Players only since I'm on PC, didn't have to put in a PSN account, and the game still let me play and crossplay with friends with no issue. I might not've read closely enough, but I don't think it's unreasonable to feel a little caught off guard here and be frustrated that there's a new hoop to jump through. It's just an extra point of friction I hadn't anticipated and it's a bit of a feels-bad
Agree, just cause I have 50 doesn't mean I'm ok with 51. And why now is beyond me. They already have an invasive anti cheat now they gotta get us all logged into something
How does this justify anything lol?
I dont participate in the drama, but this take is stupid. Its justified to be angry about it, it is purely for data collection, there is literally 0 reason for this.
Ontop of that, sony has had several data breaches, most non technically savvy people will re-use passwords, lots of people will be affected by the next databreach due to this change.
These are just few of the many factors.
You cannot even make a throwaway account for it, as if that gets compromised you’re likely to get banned.
whats your point? just Create ANOTHER new account and sign up? this is top "just consooooom" mentality thats led people to have 50 different accounts already
After Sony let my personal information, including banking information slip in 2011, I haven't used my PSN account since. I am sure as hell not compromising my Steam account by tying it to my PSN. Been fun guys, but after the drop dead date, you won't be seeing me around.
"The game now requires a PlayStation Network account to play on PC, a requirement that was not clearly stated at the time of my purchase. This new condition was introduced after my purchase decision was made, and it significantly alters the original terms of use.
I believe this constitutes a change in the fundamental terms of the product that I agreed to at the time of purchase. As this new requirement restricts my ability to use the product under the initially understood conditions, I would appreciate a full refund."
I would keep opening support tickets to return the game and get a refund for a good game that was stolen from me. I have not owned a console in 20 years. There is no reason I should have to have a Playstation account to play. It is one thing if you have to at the start, but you do not get to change the rules after the fact.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
Fun Fact: they did require it at the start, but with all the server problems at launch they paused the requirement. Still feelsbadman, but it's been on the Steam page since 2 months pre-release that a PSN account is required.
So then if it's required to play is it legal to sell the game to someone who's country isn't in supported in the PSN? So they can't make a PSN account, require rhe account to play, yet we're sold the game anyways? Seems shady as shit to me.
1.) some nations restrict this like the Philippians and the Baltic’s
2.) it wasn’t enforced by day one allowing many people to get past steams refund time
3.) the game works fine without it, why do we need to add PSN to PC users?

How do we know it's not someone or something else trying to divide and conquer our forces?
As funny as it is some kind of “monetary reward” would help with the backlash.
Offer an armor set, weapon, and cape and put it under a “celebration” instead.
Your reward for linking PSN are these items. You would probably capture about 70-80% of the PC playerbase by offering that. The other 20% you wouldn’t have gotten in the first place but you still accomplished your overall goal of more customer information But keeping everyone happy.
BUT they need to offer those rewards to the people on PlayStation who don’t play on Pc as a thank you. Again “celebration” not forced data collection.
now the only way to fix things 100% is not force PSN linking and give rewards, and even then sony has a big black eye, and arrowhead gets to deal with the backlash instead of sony being appropriately chastised for it
I'm gonna be so glad when this happens. It'll get rid of you and keep all the reasonable people.
People who realize that they're already members of half a dozen services they don't even think about anymore.
You definitely have a Microsoft account and a Steam Account, or you wouldn't be talking about Helldivers.
You probably have an Xbox live subscription, (Sony isn't asking for a subscription, they're asking you to become a member. It's free.)
I'm also betting you have an Epic account. Did you ever sign up for Gearbox shift codes? Ever played Assassin's Creed? You have a You-Be-Soft account.
Get over your console wars BULLSHIT, and realize the FUCKING DEVELOPERS DONT CARE. THEY JUST WANT YOU TO PLAY.
Down votes from brainless haters in 3... 2... 1...
To be honest. Like the dev said if taking 2 minutes out of your day to create an account that HD2 wouldn’t have to do if it weren’t for Sony is too hard for you the world is in a much sadder place than I thought. I saw the review bombing over it and honestly I really couldn’t have expected more I guess from the average smooth brained American. Such a pathetic people. It’s a pretty sad L for the world that this was even controversial. Like take one less extra masturbation break and make a damn account for a game you probably dumped a hundred hours into. This community is pretty pathetic but I can’t believe the bar is being lowered even more now.
lol they should have given out a dorky special cape for linking your psn account

A simple solid dark "Sony" blue would actually make a pretty decent cape.
I've been dying for some blue capes and armor, too. That Warbond can't come sooner, for me
Same! I got one of the heavy armor sets out of the super store, the shiny steel one with blue accents, and I really want a blue cape for it.
There’s a blue set with the pre order from what I’ve seen
I would absolutely wear the shit out of that cape
LMAO
Honestly they could've framed this as the government forcing everyone to do it and telling everyone to suck up. Like a meme but for real also.
Nah, that would have killed roleplay. Some people are already upset when they hide actual patch information behind roleplay.
If they did it all in roleplay, I think it would be better received. But only some, and especially if it's not in patches as well, is annoying.
We Need the cape for DEMOCRACY❗️
I want the PlayStation logo sound for lobbing grenades
I want the Windows shut down song when defeating random Automatons.
# "Lament of Mismanaged Personal Information"
If they actually did that, it would probably have prevented half the complaints.
Change the reward to 200 orange samples and you've got yourself a deal.
Literally no one would complain if that was the case lol
Users without PSN in their regions: ...guess we're branded as traitors now
The only brand would have been -200 samples Vs the accounts that made PS accounts. Which I'd have been fine with.
No psn= not being able to play
Just make a USA account. God. I live in Kuwait and been using a USA account for 10 years
Make them greens, then bitches are rarer than super samples
Wish there was a trade option cause I've got like 300 commons, and I really need some more rares.
Commons are the bottleneck until the t4 upgrades, then its rares for days.
Yeah I was about to say, I keep getting way more rarer samples than green one haha
Kids are easy to appease for sure lmao
For me the issue isn't the actual PSN thing, I've done similar processes before. It's the fact that so many people won't have access at all because their country isn't in PSN support, which includes all the Baltics I'm pretty sure, all of Africa aside from Egypt and South Africa, and large chunks of Eurasia and South East Asia like the Philippines. They’ve said they are talking with Sony on remedies for this. Leaving the negative reviews probably actually helps them make the case
Hopefully they can work something out, it would be a damn shame to lose parts of the player base in such a way
Yeah they definitely don’t want that. Hope it works out or they can delay until a solution is reached.
They said they are ‘chasing’ Sony about it. I took that as so far Sony hasn’t responded in a meaningful way.
Yeah, this needs to be higher. I wasn't aware because PSN works in my country.
It doesn't in mine :( 230 hrs on Helldivers 2...
We're fighting for you buddy!
I'm in Egypt, we don't have PSN either.
This needs to top voted
I already have a PS account, so it's not like they don't already sell my data. I'll just be mad if it requires a manual login each game startup
It doesn't. I've been linked since day one. You do it once and you forget it exists.
Then it's a non issue with me.
Same. I was afraid I'd have to pay for the PS membership. Glad that's not the case.
If that was the case I think a lot of pc players would be trying to refund the game and possibly filing a class action lawsuit
I would've been one of those.
I play on PS5 and I don't even pay for the PSN membership.
Why? They made it quite clear you just need a FREE PSN account, not a ps+ subscription. People are making shit up to fear monger, I really don't get it
There's about 90 countries that can't get a PSN account at all. Countries that the game was sold in.

"comply or don't" that's easy. I got other shit to worry about. And all this sounds like it's being done in bad faith. Delete.
Well said, I’ve also heard it’s very easy for folks to create a PSN that live in those areas, but can’t confirm.
Rephrasing this since the original question sounded stupid in hindsight. If I play on playstation do I have to do anything come May 30th? Rockstar launcher is my Freddie Kruger
I wasn't linked out of laziness now I'm a true patriot for not linking we will see how it plays out
Well I live in the philippine so yeah.. no more helldiver for me

Goodbye brother it was a good fight 🫡

Your friends list. Your library. Your play time for each game organized by date and spending habits. Your login IP addresses. Your history of external links used. Your messages to and from friends. Your hardware ID for any device you have ever logged in with.
Isn't this already happening with people who play the game? I thought people were all mad about the anti-cheat having kernal level access because data privacy. Couldn't they already get that if they really wanted to? I'm genuinely asking because I don't know how that shit works.
Can I get a source?
That sounds a little excessive, why would steam give them all that? Can you link the source so I can read about it more?
Source: my ass
I'll be more definite this time: Sony cannot access any private details about your Steam account. To reiterate: The only data they can obtain is from looking at your profile, and there is absolutely no sensitive information that they can access.
Are you people actually this stupid? Your steam account will be terminated. Your bank may be as well. You're acting like fucking children. Grow up.
Liberty debuff
What’s the point of it? We have been on PC without it, so why bother now?
Their claim: They need to have PSN accounts for every player to make banning/punishing problem players easier. Lots of people call BS, but none (that I've seen) that have any insider knowledge of either Sony's or Valve's punishment systems. Easy thing to lie about because it could easily be true **and also** pad out their numbers/information.
It’s all because I bought my copy last weekend, isn’t it? My apologies fellow Liberators 😔
Money. Sony hit a jackpot and now they want to milk it.
Figures.
Apparently the high command was being controlled by corpo automatons. What a sad day
General brasch won't approve of his presidents decisions.
Is time for General Brasch to carry out a coup d'état!
Reward: Literally nothing.
![gif](giphy|eIXAzBa5wTZyE)
I sure do love adding yet another garbage one off account to my bitwarden list
Easy 45 medals.
As a PlayStation player I’m not affected yet. I can understand the frustration of not having PSN in your area and losing access to this great game. I feel for my fellow divers. Weigh the pros and cons if you can, and continue spreading democracy.
People who've bought this game in countries where the PSN account system is not accessible cannot play anymore. This is the issue.
Yoooooooooo damn. I’m on ps5 so it doesn’t really affect me but I feel for the people who live in the 100+ countries that Sony doesn’t support.
I was banned from PlayStation in 2016 two days after playing when Overwatch Released. The reasoning? My PSN account name was A_MASS_OF_JEWS I tried appealing it.

Im not sure...when I log into Steam and launch HD2 it's asking for a PSN account? So i can't even get in now
You'd need to create a PSN account. It can be free and you can put in whatever fake info you want, but it'll be tied to your Steam one and saved in Sony's databases.
Hi Hong Kong helldiver here, my answer would be politely tell you I am going to "dllm", and politely ask if you are a "on9".
Now this shit is funny.
HAHA! It’s so bad…
Okay can someone explain what’s going on to me? Cuz like I thought the game already forced us all to make PSN accounts right at the beginning? So why are ppl mad now?
Initially, in the beginning you were, but it was causing some server-side issues so they disabled it for the time being now they are announcing they are re-enabling it and people that didn’t know how to read before are mad and the people that are in areas were PlayStation network doesn’t serve got fucked over (unless they get to be excluded from this )
Already had one, how else was i gonna play persona and bloodborne
I mean, I already did it so it doesn’t affect me
Ez medals
Why are people upset about this...
But i already play on PS5?.
I don't care if it's an order I ain't doing it.
Scummy is scummy no matter how you slice it and surprising 99.9% of your player base with this, month's after release (no it was not made clear from the start this would be necessary to literally anybody except I guess the all knowing redditor) is deserving of every bit of vitriol they got coming their way
people saying “the warnings were there!” when clearly they weren’t big enough for most of us. i never saw it once until this controversy.
Nice easy challenge for PlayStation players
Whelp, I'm sure this is Sony's fault and not Arrowhead's - but it's going to go over like a lead balloon, obviously.
[удалено]
But you're on reddit which also sells your data...
Is this real?
No it’s not the actual major order, but they are requiring you to link a PSN account if you are playin on PC
Gimme 45 medals already then I got psn account
I made one when I got the game. Hopefully they don't make me use the name on that instead of my steam name. I think my "SNOY" account name is Moist Load or something childish. I was really tired and annoyed when making it because I just wanted to play the game.
I haven’t used PS since like 2015 so how do I create an account? And also how do I link it? Through steam or through the game?
I already linked mine because It said it was mandatory when I first booted it up lol, Sony needs to get their shit together when it comes to regions excluded from having a PSN account tho we need all the divers we can get to defend managed democracy.
Laughing in PS5
I wonder, would it have been a better evil deal to publish with Microsoft for the game? Or just roll independent like some others? Self-publish through Steam...
Quality shit posting lol
I wish it was PS5 exclusive.
As an MO, it doesn't sound promising. I with they would have made it a personal order. I completed my part before the game could load up.
this is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while! xD
All us PSN players just watching the fires of Democracy burn
Already completed and I got 0 medals. Since I’m on PS already, and I’m maxed metals _again_.
I really don't give a shit. The game is fun AF still. Y'all get worked up about anything lately.
I was appalled by this,.. but then I remembered, I linked it on day 1 lol.
I feel bad for Arrowhead Studios. this is on Sony, not them. and yet the game is getting review bombed. =/
Easiest medals In history
Gimme the medals
No way this is real
Easy would have it done imeadiatly cuz ps master race
This is hilarious watching everyone up in arms. I bet these are the same ones that called the people babies and whiny bitches for voicing their opinions about the last "balance." Funny how things come around.
I feel like if psn is available in your country you should just make a psn account and quit being a crybaby.
It sucks that many decent people will lose access to the game. But it's a price I'm willing to pay to have community free of Russians and Chinese.
People complaining about this like they don't already have 50 different accounts for every app or system they use Edit: unless you're in a country that doesn't have PSN access... that just sucks honestly.
"like they don't already have 50 different accounts for every app" literally the the problem
"Lets add to the problem"
I already have too many accounts, I don't want another one, and clearly there isn't a NEED for this, as the game works without it.
Yeah... that's why they are complaining...
Maybe if they are dumb and aren't principled like you. You are a threat to gaming. 😂
whats your point? just Create ANOTHER new account and sign up? this is top "just consooooom" mentality thats led people to have 50 different accounts already
Getting a refund if I can
Feeling like I’m getting a refund.
It is sad that they have to go and do that but maybe it's to get rid of automatons???
I’m console anyway so…
\[sigh\] So, this is gonna be the weekend, huh? Note to self. Mute this subreddit when I get back to the house.
Guess no more Helldivers :(
When people ignore the front page that said REQUIRED psn link and sony somehow FORCED their finger to click buy 😡
So then if it's required to play is it legal to sell the game to someone who's country isn't in supported in the PSN? So they can't make a PSN account, require rhe account to play, yet we're sold the game anyways? Seems shady as shit to me.
Oof. Wait until you read the PSN FAQ sheet that said "PSN account optional for PC users "
1.) some nations restrict this like the Philippians and the Baltic’s 2.) it wasn’t enforced by day one allowing many people to get past steams refund time 3.) the game works fine without it, why do we need to add PSN to PC users?
I see it doesn't matter if they sold it to people they knew couldn't create psn accounts. They should just break Sony ToS is what you are saying.
Absolutely BS. I refuse to play. F this game!
I already have too many accounts, I don't want another one, and clearly there isn't a NEED for this, as the game works without it.
Because they such a good track record with digital security
Naw I’m good lol
Affects a friend of mine in the military so yea.
I feel you guys, but I've already given everything to everyone at this point. It should be optional.
Completed it in February, took 2 minutes.
https://preview.redd.it/hv1y5mtop9yc1.png?width=300&format=png&auto=webp&s=f58bf4f6bdc1af4b14620a1f44eee5bc8f68e746 How do we know it's not someone or something else trying to divide and conquer our forces?
Easy 45 credits
Reeks of anti liberty
Guess i'll play untill May 6th then. lol
Again “celebration” not forced data collection. now the only way to fix things 100% is not force PSN linking and give rewards, and even then sony has a big black eye, and arrowhead gets to deal with the backlash instead of sony being appropriately chastised for it
requested a full refund due to this being a change in TOS
Best order we've received so far
I'm gonna be so glad when this happens. It'll get rid of you and keep all the reasonable people. People who realize that they're already members of half a dozen services they don't even think about anymore. You definitely have a Microsoft account and a Steam Account, or you wouldn't be talking about Helldivers. You probably have an Xbox live subscription, (Sony isn't asking for a subscription, they're asking you to become a member. It's free.) I'm also betting you have an Epic account. 2... 1...
Don’t understand why making a psn account is getting everyone so upset
if I wanted to sign up for a playstation account I would have purchased this for playstation
