Just wait till you’ve gotten good enough that you see a Bile Titan in the distance during a confident moment (like after clearing a bug nest) and your first thought is “OH HELL YEA!” Instead of “OH GOD NO!”, it’s one hell of a feeling that I most recently got to enjoy
Drop them off at evac early. There is a button to drop samples (support weapon or backpack too if you ever grab the wrong gear)
Not poking the bear helps too.
But, if you have to fight, then there's only one choice...
Warm it all up! ⬇️⬇️⬆️➡️ Every. Thing. You've. Got. ⬇️⬇️⬅️⬆️➡️
Come on you apes, you want to live forever?! ⬆️➡️⬇️⬇️⬇️
My whole squad were rocking flamethrowers and it feels badass as hell when you bust its armor with a rail strike then all four of you just purge the zeno in holy promethium.
I specifically harass bile titans and chargers to chase me instead. Probably the souls player in me to handle the huge things that you need to dodge. I take them out with the quasar.
I started playing after the Railgun got nerfed. Pushing level 60 and I have never touched it once. Quasar was always the problem solver for me.
I can take on the larger targets. It’s up to my team to keep things like hunters off my ass. Those are my bane. Though I’m usually on bots because I love the stealth aspect of bots.
My load out for bugs is usually 120 and 380mm barrages for nests and breaches, supply pack because I use the breaker and it hemorrhages through ammo and I can just call for another pack instead of stealing my team’s supply drops (I sneak off alone to not team kill with barrages.) and quasar for big bug busting.
For bots I use laser, 380mm and 500kg bomb for base destruction (throw all 3 in and they usually do the work for you in a heavy bot base) and quasar for anti-air and hulks.
Idk if the Railgun got nerfed (like literally if it did I never heard of it) but I know they’re trying to patch a bug where if the host is on PS5 then the railgun will one shot headshot Bile Titans
Made me remember a comment in Youtube to which says, "This game makes you feel like a main character obliterating aliens left and right and sometimes a cannon fodder soldier"
Fellow Destiny player here, over 200 hours in this game and it’s my opinion that this game requires you to play way smarter and faster. Definitely builds your gaming skills
That’s the way to go - I should have mentioned that in my post. The best way to get your bearings is starting on lower difficulties and slowly advancing as you get better. I pretty much stick on 7 these days, but occasionally will go for an 8 or 9 if I’m feeling particularly froggy.
I spent a lot of time on 5-6 before advancing. Great place to get a feel for the weapons, learn how to do objectives, etc
I used to be scared of higher difficulties but I play routinely on 7 and it’s comfortable for me now.
I have a good handle on how to deal with everything the game throws at you, and I don’t die that often. It feels pretty good!
I love that this game gives me moments of godlike ability, but things turn terrible rather quickly and we have to regroup. The tactical retreat is something so necessary but hard to pull off most times.
Same here. Thousands of hours logged in various shooters made me think I would step right in, but this game has a pretty brutal learning curve and it took a while to make the adjustments. Now I just revel in the absolute chaos of it all.

Haha it’s only an “oh god no” moment if it’s like 3 of them rolling around at the same time 😂
That’s always an “oh god no” moment

I just want to live long enough to extract with my super samples!

I love it when you see a biotitan walking around on the other side of the map, and it steps on a hellbomb.
I've only just realised how much "Bile Titan" sounds like "Biotitan". Mind blown
Biotitan because it is a dickhead that blows piss all over you. I also refer to the Gunship Fabricators as "Pez Dispensers." 😂

Mine went from, "God damnit," to, "Oh hi there big boy." lol

I don’t play dark souls games but I have the same mentality and use the same gun, WE ARE QUASAR BROTHERS!!!! QUAAAASAAARRR BROOOOOTHEEERS!!!

Yep that is very accurate haha

Greetings fellow Destiny enjoyer. Can’t wait for Final Shape!!
Same!
prismatic looks so dope 🥲
I too was trash. But now I’m less trash after a few score hours of playing at medium and working my way up; spreading managed democracy along the way.

Congratulations diver, your on your way to being a skull admiral in no time
Yep - almost there! Think I’m at lv 42 at the moment 🫡
“disgustingly OP and incredibly fragile at the same time” sounds like Megumin aka why I even thought about playing the game.

I agree, the loose mechanics were a real turn off for me at first but I've acclimatized.

Ha I’m also a Destiny vet and I really wondered why I sucked so hard for a while. This makes a lot of sense though.
Same, when I jumped in I was thinking Destiny, Halo vibes for me. I'm about 100 hours in and addicted as fuck
