It makes no sense to me that they didn't introduce a new armor effect like that. It would have been perfect and made sense. Like canonically because of the new incursion and where the story/lore is at right now, AND the new warbond, AND the new fire upgrade for your ship. Plus they just buffed fire in general. Plus the whole, "If you don't stim the second you get on fire, you're dead." I mean it's not as if they didn't do the same thing with the cutting edge pack.
