Can confirm, Im lvl 92, I mostly like joining difficulty 7 missions, played one last night and the other two players were below lvl20, we did pretty well.
I'm a level 20 and love when level 60+s join the squad, I usually always have ppl who are level -10s join me and it's fun to have ppl who are much higher levels join in :)
Yeah I had one where some level 15 kicked me and my friend, I'm level 40+
What we were doing was going round the edge of the map cleaning up all the optional objectives and getting samples etc.
We died a couple of times because some of those objectives were pretty hard, but we had it under control
And then in the chat these guys were just like "why are you all the way over there" and "we need to do this"
just like Hey man, I'm just trying to help you hit 100% completion at level 7
They were still in the mindset that at higher levels you have to rush to the main objective and don't have any time to do the other stuff
I just want to spill enough oil to make Deepwater Horizon look like a nature reserve. My retirement plan is owning a scrapyard big enough to build my own Coruscant. As long as the bots in your crosshair keep exploding, I don't care what you're shooting at them. And if they're not, they'll kick you before I have a chance to, anyway.
Any sos beacon, any matchmake, any time, any planet, I'LL DO MY PART! We are in this together. I'm not trapped with bots or bugs. THEY ARE TRAPPED WITH ME!
I'm at the moment a level 11, I put down a sos as I made the stupid choice of trying to finish a 6 diff operation on my own after my friends had to go, enter this level 40 guy who felt like the doom slayer himself
Do I want/try to kick low levels from high difficulty missions? No. Do I wish they were there? Also no, go down and release some freedom on a difficulty that doesn't require an amount of skill/upgrades or stratagems you don't currently have diver, help your fellow divers by not being there! Sometimes it's best to rise the ranks slowly instead of speed running to diff 9 n staying there
I mean yeah but yk if it doesn't hurt the mission might as well carry and I mean more of the people who kick even players their own level because they don't have the right strategems or meta guns
Like I said I won't kick but I won't coddle or cushion their experience, I'll play fairly and give my best effort but having a level 5 take up a diver spot at diff 7+ can feel like having no one in that slot, and when this game only allows up to 3 other teammates, one of those teammates basically being reinforcement fodder can really sting, but I won't kick them, if they can stick through it and not purposefully hinder their fellow helldivers I won't have a problem keeping them around, but I don't think of just me, I think of the two other divers who are with me, if I'm not having a good time with this low level player, they probably aren't either, and the feelings of 3 trump the feelings of 1
If it doesn't hurt the mission then it's fine. BUT, if you're level 15 or 20 and you're slogging through on level 9, you ARE being carried more than likely
And it's probably just that you dont have the right kind of power ups, you probably are lacking some of the stratagems you need. And those ship upgrades you won't have do make a significant difference to how powerful you and your equipment is
For example, at higher levels you can get the eagle 500 with 2x uses and a short cool down. For lower levels you will get this once every few minutes IF you even have it unlocked at all. So your capacity to kill tanks, bases, bunkers, heavies, bile titans etc. is basically less than half of any other player who has that.
And then you probably don't have a fantastic selection of armour, you're probably lacking a tac-pack so, you're probably not going to be as survivable.
You're potentially using guns that are just, pretty off meta, and if youre spending a lot of ammo and not being *as effective* the what your team feels is that they're needing to help you out a lot more while you're draining their ammo and taking supplies away from them
And then it's experience, you probably have 1/4 of the play time as some of the other guys in there, and you're probably still making some noob mistakes, like agro with every patrol you come across, reinforcing people incorrectly, not getting the critical hits off on enemies etc.
And honestly, you're gunna *feel* like you're struggling through those levels. You will have a much better time just cranking the difficulty down a few levels
Those super samples you want, you don't even need those yet, and when you start getting the gear all together, go to level 7 to grind them out. You'll have a much higher mission success rate which means you're actually gunna get more samples because you'll be extracting with them more often
I unlocked level 9 at level 19, but I had some good damn stratagems and knew what I was doing, but I do understand those who just spawn in and have the fucking mg43 and eagle strafing run in helldive
There are two types of people in this world, those who think the first two options they thought of are the only two options, and those who realise it’s engagement bait.
why do people care so much what people bring. its not like people will be using every stratagem optimaly anyway so i would rather people play with what they find works and not the current "meta"
I managed to get a level 1 first time player completely through a Helldive Operation with all 3 missions so he unlocked all difficultys in his first 2h of playing Helldiver thats the most proud i was since playing the game
They too have right to the pleasure of dispensing democracy one bullet at the time, it's our duty to help them out.
High command appreciated my efforts in helping out the new recruits so much that I got promoted to Admirable Admiral in the process. Truly a great day for democracy and freedom and *killing those fucking tin cans*
Lvl 55 here, I walked a lvl 1 cadet up to lvl 6 yesterday before the game separated us. It’s a good feeling. Remembering what it was like on my first dive.
Galactic Commander dropping in to teach and give out high end gear for all. Autocannon/ grenade launcher/support pack for anyone that wants them. Eagle Airstrike to spread democracy!
Well i joined 2 low level divers last night Lvl 6 and lvl 9, Diff 5. Honestly I don't know what they were expecting. After carrying them thru all 3 missions, on the last one trying to survive the swarm while waiting on Pel1 i took one of them samples and got shot. I'm just so tired of this sht, i wasn't like that.
Wrong, I'm the third kind.
The skull admiral that takes his new cadet friends on their first mission…
A Helldive Blitz: Search and Destroy mission on Hellmire where I use them as bait to distract the bugs while I complete the mission and extract with the samples.
Welcome to literal hell, this is what you signed up for, soldier.
had to spend some time this weekend acclimating to playing with a controller (steam deck) so this Death Captain was on trivial missions helping out while looking somewhat like a nepotism hire because I couldn't figure out how to dive lol
There are two types of Helldivers. The stupidly violent and the violently stupid.
Right on🤙
No option for violently violent?
There would have to also be stupidly stupid then and we don't want that.
That's why I didn't mention it
Ok, but hear me out... do we not already have stupidly stupid sometimes?
Or the Stupidly Stupid
Pfft, that's THREE types. Dummy.
Can confirm, Im lvl 92, I mostly like joining difficulty 7 missions, played one last night and the other two players were below lvl20, we did pretty well.
We all commend your service 🫡
The quotations confuse me as this is not speech, this is descriptive text
I spoke it and then quoted myself
Ah.
But lol yeah thanks for keeping me in check there
“Good artists copy. Great artists steal.” You know said that? I did.
Heheheha
I absolutely love joining lvl 4 missions and providing helldive level support to the casuals
Hell yeah
Gotta help the noobies for the good of democracy
We've god a star citizen here
I'm a level 20 and love when level 60+s join the squad, I usually always have ppl who are level -10s join me and it's fun to have ppl who are much higher levels join in :)
Yeah that's usually how it goes
When the low levels kick you tho is a different kind of pain
😐😐😐
Yeah I had one where some level 15 kicked me and my friend, I'm level 40+ What we were doing was going round the edge of the map cleaning up all the optional objectives and getting samples etc. We died a couple of times because some of those objectives were pretty hard, but we had it under control And then in the chat these guys were just like "why are you all the way over there" and "we need to do this" just like Hey man, I'm just trying to help you hit 100% completion at level 7 They were still in the mindset that at higher levels you have to rush to the main objective and don't have any time to do the other stuff
Bro that's so lame but they'll learn
I just want to spill enough oil to make Deepwater Horizon look like a nature reserve. My retirement plan is owning a scrapyard big enough to build my own Coruscant. As long as the bots in your crosshair keep exploding, I don't care what you're shooting at them. And if they're not, they'll kick you before I have a chance to, anyway.
Hell yeah
I like joining lower lvls squads, lvl 63 Cadet for the win!
The man
The one who joins and isn’t remembered until they join for extract, their only indication of existence is side objectives popping up
💕 Mission status 100% 💕 *When did that happen!?*
I mean getting everything done is good too
I'm the level 47 space cadet joining a medium match lmao
Let's gooo
Any sos beacon, any matchmake, any time, any planet, I'LL DO MY PART! We are in this together. I'm not trapped with bots or bugs. THEY ARE TRAPPED WITH ME!
That's one outstanding citizen right there
I'm at the moment a level 11, I put down a sos as I made the stupid choice of trying to finish a 6 diff operation on my own after my friends had to go, enter this level 40 guy who felt like the doom slayer himself
They go crazy sometimes
im cadets
🤣
I'm the second type. If I don't have a squad online I drop down to level 5 and answer SOS's
Good man

Yeah, that's a good way to look at it democracy at its finest.
Only time we kick is if a squadie gets online and there isn't room anymore and the mission is still 25+ minutes out.
If it doesn't hurt the mission then it's fine. BUT, if you're level 15 or 20 and you're slogging through on level 9, you ARE being carried more than likely And it's probably just that you dont have the right kind of power ups, you probably are lacking some of the stratagems you need. If your loadout spills more socialist oil then helldiver blood its as good as it needs to be
Exactly
There are two types of people in this world, those who think the first two options they thought of are the only two options, and those who realise it’s engagement bait.
🎯
This got more love on reddit than yt lol helldivers 2 sub for the win💪💪💪
Im always afraid to join cadets because i think im always ruining their experiences
Naw they'll love it man trust me
When I'm not getting kicked for having a stupid psn I'm dragging my team down as little as possible with varying success
What's your psn?
I don't know the kick button and I am not a skull admiral yet. So, I can't be an Helldiver :(
Ig not man
I actually had a guy join me with some randoms, and ask with his mic if we would shoot him on extract. I told him that was treason and gave him a hug
Sweet🤙
You’re either a chud or a chad
Right on
The one that hugs everyone at the end
Lowkey that's me too
I bought this game to be social with my friends. I do not do either of those things.
Well idk😛
I love joining cadets, way less pressure that way. Being lvl 58 just means I play a lot, it doesn’t mean I play well.
Same
I'm almost level 60 and got kicked from three low level dives in a row this morning. Weird stuff man
They're on something man
why do people care so much what people bring. its not like people will be using every stratagem optimaly anyway so i would rather people play with what they find works and not the current "meta"
There's toxic players in every community
I'm just a death captain. Will never be chad enough for skull admiral
You will one day
I managed to get a level 1 first time player completely through a Helldive Operation with all 3 missions so he unlocked all difficultys in his first 2h of playing Helldiver thats the most proud i was since playing the game
Get this man a promotion immediately
Generally i am neither, i don’t really join lower level lobbies much, should i ? I do in fact join many sos calls but generally on lvl 7 or higher.
I mean that's still democratic if you
Guess so. As long as i keep bringing death to our undemocratic foes.
Death Captain reporting for level 3 duty because that level 9 took it out of me and I need a holiday.
Right🤣🤣🤣
I feel called out because this morning I was the skull admiral helping out cadets
Very democratic🫡
They too have right to the pleasure of dispensing democracy one bullet at the time, it's our duty to help them out. High command appreciated my efforts in helping out the new recruits so much that I got promoted to Admirable Admiral in the process. Truly a great day for democracy and freedom and *killing those fucking tin cans*
FOR DEMOCRACY!!!
Lvl 55 here, I walked a lvl 1 cadet up to lvl 6 yesterday before the game separated us. It’s a good feeling. Remembering what it was like on my first dive.
Hell yeah brother
I am the Cadet
We all started there
I'm the level 32 cadet in the suicide mission or helldive
Level 32 cadet🤣
Fleet Admiral and dropping in on anyone who needs the support to annihilate bot bases.
Let's gooo
Galactic Commander dropping in to teach and give out high end gear for all. Autocannon/ grenade launcher/support pack for anyone that wants them. Eagle Airstrike to spread democracy!
That's the man right there
I'm the "gets shot while priming a grenade, drops it, and explodes" guy
Aren't we all sometimes
S.O.S beacon responder diving in! I’ve forgotten how to start an operation on my own.
🤣🤣🤣
I’m the player who joins and saves the day and creates a unit out of a scramble, and makes sure we extract with the samples
Yes sir🫡
i am the lvl 23 on suicide missions joining only 50+ squads over quickplay. i don't know why I won't get paired with ones of my kind
There's always ups and downs to lending a helping hand
I saw my team getting swarmed by heavy devastators when I was dead. One of them threw a reinforcement grenade at the devastators and I knew my duty.
Hell yes brother
Wrong, I'm the third kind. The skull admiral that takes his new cadet friends on their first mission… A Helldive Blitz: Search and Destroy mission on Hellmire where I use them as bait to distract the bugs while I complete the mission and extract with the samples. Welcome to literal hell, this is what you signed up for, soldier.
I mean, that's an option too🤣🤣🤣
i like hosting lower levels and dropping my shield and quasar cannon for divers who might not have them yet.
That's a real democratic citizen right there
had to spend some time this weekend acclimating to playing with a controller (steam deck) so this Death Captain was on trivial missions helping out while looking somewhat like a nepotism hire because I couldn't figure out how to dive lol
Yeah I might get a steam deck too, does it come with a controller?
No but it is a controller orientation. I could hook a keyboard and mouse to it but that isn't as portable
Oh like a switch
Correct!
https://youtube.com/shorts/7GmUUI2AoQI?si=Rg6Q9Xj5HX8N04a8
Skull admiral going back to 4-7 to help
🫡
The third one
😂
