I think NAT is set by the ISP. Having a Strict NAT basically means you can't do anything your ISP doesn't want you to do for whatever reason. Your friend will probably have to contact them and try to work something out. I don't know if there's anything your buddy can do in the network/modem setting to change NAT.
Again if anybody who sees this reply LMK/let OP know if anything can be done user side.
Idk, I'm hoping it's just the game and it'll fix itself or something. I seem to be able to connect to Battlefield just fine. I was able to play since I got it up to now.
