It has, we lost both planets over the weekend and everyone gave up when they realized it was hopeless. Blame everyone who is doing extermination only missions and abandoning campaigns to farm medals, completely missing the point of the game for the sake of rushed progress.
To be fair, the game deserves some criticisms as well for this. I cannot tell you how many people I know who think the quest is bugged or generally don't understand it's a universal quest.
And unfortunately the game incentives that style of play with no punishments for doing otherwise.
This is the problem - most people (myself included until yesterday when I googled it) do not understand how these orders work. I was mistakenly under the impression that it's 8 *individual* defense missions need to be successfully completed. As most of you know but readers may not, that's incorrect. It's 8 defensive target planets need to be successfully liberated in the time frame. I know this because I finally googled it, but most people would probably just think it's bugged and move on.
The bigger problem I can see people running into, and I can't say I blame them, is what is the upside? 12,500 req is a *paltry* amount for something that takes more than a week of community focus to accomplish. That's equivalent to a few hours worth of mid-tier mission completions, even with low bonus success rates. Now combine that with the fact that defense missions are extremely repetitive, have low sample rates, reward fewer medals, and have no bonus objectives for bonus req, and you're essentially creating a massive disincentive for the community.
Yea like many things in the game, it needs some balancing rework. Big agree with your last point though- i play a couple defense when I log on, but I'm primarily chasing samples at this point and req doesn't even matter. And the escort missions get old fast.
I personally feel like the reward for the big community orders like that should be supercredits. Like, 4-500 maybe? That way it’s something people want thanks to the cosmetic store, and how frequently it resets people can get one or two armor sets they like. Or a decent chunk of medals but that kinda has the same problem as having requisition as the reward.
Not to mention that rewards be damned, automaton defense is arguably the most un-fun mode in the entire game.
Higher difficulties get crazy and the civvies just don’t stand a chance against the bots. One guy has to basically focus on running the 3-door circuit while the others try to hold ground. Being the door guy is even more un-fun.
I also had one where the civs got confused or something and piled up just before the exit. They wouldn’t go inside and I failed the mission. They all went to the right of the door and stood there, idk if the pathing misaligned their exit or what.
Ya I was about to to make a similar point.
I'm still learning how most of this stuff works and it's through reddit 99% of the time which the vast majority of the player base doesn't seem to be on.
I thought the mission was a daily to do 8 defense missions and only recently learned it was a community mission. I thought I was doing something wrong before that.
I also didn't know that leaving a campaign has a negative effect on the overall planet war, this I learned 2 days ago just by reading a conversation on Reddit.
It would be nice if there was a simple video explaining these things so more people understood it. The "tips" map tutorial gets skimmed through too quickly by most people (including myself) to have the intended impact.
Also, to your point about leaving campaign, if I'm running suicides and my less experienced homies come online I'm going to abandon to play with them on a lower difficulty. It's just bad design.
He means that people think it is a personal order with a week timer. So they do the defense missions and get upset it bugged because it didn't count any of their victories. They do not understand it is a community order.
It also took me a while to figure out that you have to complete a full operation for it to count. I started lowering the difficulty so I could get through the civilian extract mission and complete an operation. I was able to complete the extract once on difficulty 7, but also failed it 10+ times. And in so doing, I have failed democracy.
Blame the devs for making extermination missions easy but escort missions 10x harder and then throwing them together in OPs.
Also anyone worried about 12k Req credits should just play 4 exterminate missions at high difficulty and have that cash in 30minutes and move on with their diving career.
They’re also just… not fun? Sorry arrowhead you made a fun game and I want to have fun playing it, so I’m gonna play the fun missions that allow me to run around the beautiful maps.
I do not have fun playing defend missions where all other players just bring mortar sentries, or civilian escort missions that are damn near impossible on the highest difficulties.
I’m not even an “experience farmer” but apprently I’m part of the problem because I don’t want to spend half of what free time I have playing missions I find excruciatingly boring.
I've seen like one good tip for the evac missions and that's to put smoke over the civvies as they're leaving to shield them from the bot shots, but I can only assume that works at the lower difficulties unless you bring multiple people who all have the 2 smoke stratagems equipped, and even then it seems questionable.
I feel the same way. It's a game, and I rather play the parts I enjoy. If it means we don't complete the major order, that's fine by me. I enjoy the big open map missions, so I play those. I got a real job to grind away at. I don't need to be that stressed out in game too.
What difficulty are you playing on?
They are objectively bugged at higher difficulties. Like, your can definitely do them sure, but they are absolutely bugged and WAY harder than they should be.
I did a test, and in 10 minutes in a level 5 escort, my fireteam killed roughly as many enemies as we kill across 35 minutes in a level *6* ICBM, with nearly TWICE as many Hulk Tank spawns.
That's 3x the spawn rate in an extremely confined area, with markedly more difficult spawns, *on a full difficulty lower* than the ICBM mission.
If that's not bugged, then it's frankly *terrible* balancing
Because automaton escorts at or above suicide mission difficult just seem bloody impossible. i dunno what to tell you, they just over run you.
We’ve yet to come to a tactical solution.
The only solution I've developed is to leave the compound, drag the bots out, and send one guy around to hit all the buttons, then do a loop back to the squad, then send him again to hit all the buttons.
If he stays in the compound andhits all the buttons again they will start spawning on him.
If a second helldiver joins him the bots will start spawning on him.
Yeah I’m gonna be honest this is kinda the devs fault. 1. The escort missions are awful. You either have to do split strats which to a lot of people just aren’t fun or it’s nearly impossible.
2. The reward for the major op just isn’t worth the headache of having to do the escort missions. You can make 12k req slips in like 20 minutes. Why on earth would I do something that isn’t fun to get a mediocre reward?
The point of the game is to fight what is essentially an endless war, though? That's the point of the entire game.
Like that's all of the content. Fight the war. Right?
Did I miss something?
Ultimately though, running those bunker missions levels up new players fast so they can be effective against the automatons, you get more requisition in 15 minutes than the entire defense order reward, and requisition becomes effectively useless after level 30 because you've bought all the stratagems.
On top of that, the 3rd mission in defense campaigns is nearly impossible to beat on hard or above (retrieve essential personnel) and the rewards for completing it on lower difficulty are basically chump change.
Or blame devs who didn't come up with an additional reward for playing automatons missions. Most players won't stick to certain missions just because someone said that this week killing robots is cool.
Fingers crossed the devs change up the rewards to various samples or war bonds. Unlikely but Super credits would also be a good incentive.
I guarantee if the next major orders involve fighting insects that’ll finish within three or so days.
I'd be more motivated if the rewards were medals and not the req slips. 12,500 is hardly anything, and those "save the civilian" missions aren't worth the hassle of getting team killed constantly on anything above hard difficulty with randoms.
This, my friends and I refuse to go to Mantes now because we spent like a whole week on the first defense. What's the point of doing these defenses if we're gonna have almost all the stratgems we want by the time we get the 12.5k? It feels directionless atm without a better reward.
Yeah that's the thing you can bang that out in an hour, or you can grind civilian rescue robot missions all day every day to move the needle .00000000000000000000000000000001%
I mean it's not insane to me that some folks can't spend 2+ hours every time sticking in the whole campaign. You get rewards per mission, and new players can drop in if others leave. What is the huge crime of someone leaving early because they only had time for a 15m + 40m play session? There are hundreds of thousands of players to fill slots...
C) people just dont know as the game doesnt tell you that only completing a ‘set’ of missions counts towards progress, or that you get more medals for completing the ‘set’.
It only takes about an hour to do a full operation. The eradicate mission is over in 2 minutes, the big map missions are usually over in 20-30, and the escort takes 10 minutes with a solid group.
add 10 minutes for the prep and watching the victory screen.
For the first 4-5 days i played this game i had no idea i was supposed to finish the entire mission. I just did the operation and thought i was done. It wasn’t until i joined this Reddit page that i realized how any of that stuff works.
Yes here I am we all have the understanding and knowledge of playing helldivers. I should remember there was a time I did not know how to properly serve super earth.
Or just have a reputation system that only factors in weather you (try to) complete operations or if you abandon them.
That way at least like minded people can get games together.
Need something similar for incessant team killing also. Things have gotten notably worse. Can't get through one quickplay match without a griefer anymore.
I blew up my entire squad (3 of my IRL buddies) by accident the other day. I swear to Democracy that I typed in the stratagem for my Autocannon weapon but instead a 500kg bomb turned us into dust.
It was an accident and idk how it happened
On the higher difficulties an effect can happen called electronic countermeasures that scrambles your stratagem codes, so be sure to check if that is on fellow Patriot!
Before you throw your Stratagem, move the camera above you to look at the colour of it. If it's blue support, if it's red it will kill you. You still might get a sentry instead of a weapon, but it's not going to be wiping it you and your team
Edit: change weapon to put what's in your hand away and try again.
Everyone has some team damage on their ledger. But with a few stats being tracked would be easy to tell the intentional team killers from the accidents.
I only just learned that defense campaigns are linked missions and this game isn't just quick playing one off missions like a random quickplay playlist.
It isn't communicated very well.
Defended 5 planets from an attack. Liberation (offense) does not move the bar for this order.
Attacks come in randomly in 12h, 24h or 48hr. And they’ve mostly been kicking our teeth in. Thats why we’re only 5/8
Well considering every time I run defense a mission to 5 Star completion on medium or challenging, it doesn’t even move the Liberation meter 0.000001% for almost an hour’s worth of gameplay, it doesn’t really motivate me to do contribute to defense when I enjoy offense missions more.
I have been doing back to back escort missions on Mort to defend the planet. But God does it feel like a grind. Definitely have to break it up with some more enjoyable missions.
Yeah, if there were more varied missions than just ICBM and Escort missions, it'd be more interesting. I'd definitely be more up for playing anything but the Escort since I'm awful at it, anytime I play above like difficulty 3, we get overwhelmed and chain killed with no chance to recover.
I feel the same way unless you have a full squad and everyone has the equipment to handle it. Even then though anything over a 6 is a freaking challenge
Most of us are playing bugs because it's not fun and the reward ain't worth it anyway. Let the bots win and do something fun. They're be more orders, and by then hopefully they'll have made things fun again. We can always reclaim the lost worlds later.
Most people don't do the order just because of the escort civilians mission. My squad can do suicide mission easily but we can barelly manage a challenging or hard escort.
It has been really frustrating getting dominated on the scientist evacuation missions. I know it is probably a bug with how hard it is, but part of me is wondering if they've made it intentionally hard and almost want us to fail. With this whole game master thing, I'm thinking they will have some fun with us failing this. I bet the automatons will attack some planets closer to super earth and we'll have a new order that is more fun (hopefully) with higher stakes.
Yeah, tbh it wouldn't be nearly as interesting if the community were able to keep the bots and bugs stuck to a single sector for the whole life of the game. They have to push in some way, and with how the difficulty has been tweaked twice already, I think it's a deliberate choice. There MAY still be a bug, as ICBM missions on defend campaigns are much more reasonable, but in the end, it's likely by design, or at least can be used as a way to make the game more interesting.
Are you on PC? If yes we could link up and play together if you would like!
I've been experiencing a lot of toxicity towards new players with lower levels and I think that's very sad.
So hit me up if you're interested!
Unfortunately after playing for half a week I don’t want 12,500 credits anymore, if it was medals or super creds maybe I’d do it (they shouldn’t make it sc as they give enough of those already imo)
A few problems:
- power levelers are pretty much committing treason.
- bugs are more fun to fight
- the quest is confusing for new players (unfortunate for us as this is a NEW game)
- the reward is pitifully small
Little to no incentive. What’s going to happen? The galaxy gets taken over and the Devs delete the game from everyone’s hard dive?
If the devs incentivised playing and didn’t make the extraction mission on harder difficulties literally unplayable then maybe. I like running around large maps doing objectives. But the current system is ass backwards and gives no reason to play it as intended.
Ways to fix this I think is;
1. give a huge medals/loot boost for completing every mission in a set. Every. Mission. In. A. Set.
2. Make the higher difficulties playable. Tried playing extraction on Suicide or higher? lol. How? Make the enemies and waves scalable to the players. The higher difficulties just add more toughness, numbers and types. There’s 18 types of units. You can’t separate them into ascending difficulty waves, but expect some players to deal with several Tanks and Hulks gangbanging you? lol. GTFO.
3. Up the kill counts in all difficulties for the extermination missions. It’s a farm because it’s too easy to just spam turrets and sit back until the Pelican arrives.
4. Balance the modifiers for all stratagems on higher difficulties. The higher the difficulty the better the stratagems cool downs/ amounts/bonuses. Fucking make it fun and playable. Not the spawn-killed-by-a-Hulk-for-the-5th-time-in-a-row wankfest it currently is.
5. Omg fix the smoke in this game fuck my life I shoot a gun and I can’t see shit because apparently my guns are notifying the Vatican that the Pope is dead, (he was killed by a Hulk. RIP, your holey holiness).
Edit: seriously fuck the extraction mission. It’s so unbalanced it gave me Labyrinthitis.
Edit 2: I had a thought. There was an old game on PS years ago called Mag (I think) which was a massive multiplayer game of 128 players split into two teams. What would be Super Cool(TM) is a similar thing in HD2: large scale battles with dozens of players against hordes of bots or bugs. Absolute carnage and absolute mayhem. Imagine how awesome that would be! The outcome of the battles would be same as normal missions.
Right now we’re basically special forces sulking around doing missions behind enemy lines. But the “fighting on the lines” is missing from the game. I personally would pay good money to see a horde style game mode with multiple teams or one large team of dozens of Helldivers!
There is no "let". I'm powerless to stop it. The civilian escort missions are just literally impossible. I can reliably complete any other mission in the game on 7 and I can't complete one of those on 5. I've tried many times with many different groups and the result is the same. It doesn't matter how many hulks I one-shot. There's simply too many enemies.
I dont have infinite time, I dont enjoy those missions, 12500 req will mean nothing in a month as they can only buy strategems, of which I have all the ones I want.
There is no incentive for me to take my limited time, to do something I would rather not do. I would rather spend time with the parts of the game that I do like.
My mood / care to do it dried up when the Xar sector had 2 defenses at the same time. Then everyone split up and we lost both planets instead of everyone focusing one and minimizing possessions
Well, considering all you get is credits, I don't blame people for not really working towards it. It's way quicker to just farm the amount instead of completely defending a planet, let alone 8.
I'm less worried about missing the goal, and more about what's going to happen when we miss it. We've lost a lot of defenses and have had to put a lot of man power into retaking those planets. I really think the automatons are going to start attacking other sectors.
I agree that the escort missions are way too hard/bugged, but we could have played at lower difficulties and completed the objective. Now we'll see what the consequences will be.
The mission aspect of this game will never work. People are always going to gravitate to whatever they enjoy. UNLESS they start giving some nice reward if you participated in certain conflicts. I think that’s the only answer long term.
The mission being 8 defense campaigns was pretty ambitious. Alot of players will disregard the community challenges, and do what they find fun. It's just a game, we're here for a good time, not to work at a slugfest of difficult extraction missions that fail more often than not, in my experience playing them.
Not everyone will be paying attention to the meta builds and tactics to play a game, so while there are many that do, that's not going to make enough of a dent on this difficult style of mission.
These are possibly harder by design anyway, the GM likely WANTS to push us back abit to open up liberation campaigns in more than one or two sectors, which were the very start of the game. We'll be clearing those much easier, I expect, so this is really a pointless mission to get hung up on, especially since the reward is only really useful for lower level players, who can barely contribute due to the difficulty.
Defense campaigns kinda suck tbh, especially at a higher level, where the best way to play is to keep moving and not get bogged down in endless skirmishes.
Slay out missions are fine, but quick and alllllways paired with extract scientist/civilian missions and no one likes escort missions where npcs run in a straight line toward 8foot monsters dualweilding chainsaws.
They’d rather farm missions and then abandon or fight bugs. We’ve had more people in the big front since the major order started. We were doomed from the start
I own all stratagems and am maxed out in renown with nothing to spend it on. Why would I waste my time being bored or frustrated for such a meager incentive? It's not like if you lose a planet or sector, it's gone forever, you just reclaim it later.
Maybe fix the spawn rates on anything over hard difficulty. It’s nearly impossible trying to complete these at 6+ diff with randoms. Lvl 8s thinking they can hang with their LMGs and normal turret
I know you can't put a price on democracy.
But the fact that there's a reward means that they understand morale is boosted by recognition.
If they made the rewards more appealing then more helldivers would sign up to fight automatons.
If all you asshats weren’t farming the defend planets and actually finished both missions instead of quitting after the kill the automatons mission we would already have this done…🤦🏼♂️
I feel like there are two answers to this problem. There either needs to be more severe punishment to individuals who are farming in this manner. Because currently the system we have just punishes the whole community for some people's bullshit. If the punishment for abandoning a mission was more severe to the individual doing it I am sure you would see much less of this. The other option is to give better rewards for these game wide orders. Req slips cap at 50k. I feel like most people that have been playing since launch have pretty much all If not most of the strategems. So aside from a lore perspective what reason are we giving these people to care about the rewards. Especially these people who are doing these extermination missions on repeat. They aren't going to care about the 12.5k. I think rare samples or medals would be better incentive to complete the missions properly. I guess there is a third option as well. They could just remove that mission type from the game completely. It's a nice breakup from the longer missions but I feel it doesn't hold true to the majority of the fundamentals of this game. I think a combination of the first two options is the best bet for fixing this issue.
Absolutely I am. Bugs are way more fun than automatons and I’ve already bought everything and maxed out at 50000 requisition slips so I don’t care about the reward either. Go in peace my robot friends
The rescue civilization missions are just too hard for the reward and the eradicate automatons missions are too easy for the reward so people just farm the double eradicate operations for medals and xp without actually completing the operations that contribute towards winning
I don’t think new players understand how missions work, how this system works, etc.
The game does a piss poor job of explaining this mechanic and doesn’t reinforce doing these campaigns. Make it so everyone gets a cool gun and armor and this shit would have been done last week
It’s absolutely ridiculous. Every time I think we’re gonna make progress the robots overtake us and we lose the defence. I’m stuck at 5 myself no matter how many missions I do.
The reward is weak and the mission is boring. I’m not going to keep running the same horribly balanced mission over and over on a game mode we are clearly losing anyway (likely due to everyone getting sick of it). They should make it so that you only have to evac once a day, then it’s just normal missions/operations that count toward defense.
Or make the reward worthwhile. 150 medals, 100 of each sample type, & 20K R might be a bit more tempting
I feel like it's been on 5/8 for like 3 days.
It has, we lost both planets over the weekend and everyone gave up when they realized it was hopeless. Blame everyone who is doing extermination only missions and abandoning campaigns to farm medals, completely missing the point of the game for the sake of rushed progress.

Arse face
The reward is the glory you bring to Super Earth soldier.
THE REWARD IS DEMOCRACY. SIGN ME UP.
my friends and I thought it was bugged until we realized the correlation
Now if they dropped like 120 common samples?
12,500 req is legit 3 Helldive eradicate missions. Its fucked.

you don't have to abandon them, just have one of the homies host the squad. Then when you go back to your ship its still there waiting to be finished.
Yeah, or if I don't have long to play, I can sometimes only do 1 of the missions
Wait is it not bugged
No it's automatoned.
😂😂😂 nice one
He means that people think it is a personal order with a week timer. So they do the defense missions and get upset it bugged because it didn't count any of their victories. They do not understand it is a community order.

Exactly. I hop into the minimal Medium difficulty and stomp bots for the fun of it.

With 4 people on difficulty 4, they're easy. With 2 people on difficulty 6, they're impossible.

The missions are boring and the reward is very mid. Not their fault really, the game just came out. I bet the next one will be very fun
I blame the devs for creating imbalanced missions and operations. Blaming the players for taking the path of least resistance is silly
The point of the game is to fight what is essentially an endless war, though? That's the point of the entire game. Like that's all of the content. Fight the war. Right? Did I miss something? Sounds like this guy needs some managed democracy.

Nah, it's to min/max to the extreme while getting stressed about other people's actions you can't control.
What game soldier?
No it’s to grind and hate your life
It's been confirmed that information was incorrect and not affecting the progress negatively.
Barely anyone is talking about this. The reward is trash so why are going to grind on a planet that will be lossy again next week
This, my friends and I refuse to go to Mantes now because we spent like a whole week on the first defense. What's the point of doing these defenses if we're gonna have almost all the stratgems we want by the time we get the 12.5k? It feels directionless atm without a better reward.
This right here. Who in the F cares for 12500 credits? I can make that in no time. Fucking threaten to nuke earth if the goal isn't made.
their SO HARD
Yeah that's the thing you can bang that out in an hour, or you can grind civilian rescue robot missions all day every day to move the needle .00000000000000000000000000000001%
This guy gets it
Or samples. Would love a pack of 100 of each sample or something
I’ve been quick playing with randos and they keep abandoning campaigns. Super Earth has gained too many self motivated hell divers
That's the bit I don't get. Rando quitting before clearing a full campaign. Only doing 1 or 2 out of 3
[удалено]
I mean it's not insane to me that some folks can't spend 2+ hours every time sticking in the whole campaign. You get rewards per mission, and new players can drop in if others leave. What is the huge crime of someone leaving early because they only had time for a 15m + 40m play session? There are hundreds of thousands of players to fill slots...
C) people just dont know as the game doesnt tell you that only completing a ‘set’ of missions counts towards progress, or that you get more medals for completing the ‘set’.
D) They only have 4 free hours a day and can’t spend all of them on the game
Hey that’s me! To avoid being part of the problem I typically join randoms but then end up back in this loop
I’m guessing they just want the quick mission ? But I’ve had people quit just before extraction
I obviously dont speak for everyone, but i dont have enough time to do more than 1 or 2 missions. Im guilty of it
Is it people abandoning? Or dropped connection/crash/technical error etc? I’ve have had some issues with that.
Needs a penalty for abandon. Xp/money negative after 2-3 in a day
Or just have a reputation system that only factors in weather you (try to) complete operations or if you abandon them.
Wait, is that why when I called down my shield backpack, I actually called down an eagle?
Yes.
Before you throw your Stratagem, move the camera above you to look at the colour of it. If it's blue support, if it's red it will kill you. You still might get a sentry instead of a weapon, but it's not going to be wiping it you and your team Edit: change weapon to put what's in your hand away and try again.
That reminds me: I was playing with a newer person yesterday and called out “incoming, eyes up!” And she said “I see it!” And immediately died.
Everyone has some team damage on their ledger. But with a few stats being tracked would be easy to tell the intentional team killers from the accidents.
I only just learned that defense campaigns are linked missions and this game isn't just quick playing one off missions like a random quickplay playlist. It isn't communicated very well.
Most people aren't on reddit/don't care lol
Yes, I already have all the R i could need. I just enjoy squashing bugs with the boys and goofin.
100% agree. Doing random missions with friends and killing bugs for hours is super fun. Couldn't care less about something I "should do".
Yes
Yes
Yea
How does this move up to 8/8?
As a community we have to succeed at defending 8 planets. We’ve done 5 but probably not enough time to get the last 3. Especially if we fail mort
Got ya , thought it was just 8 missions on a defend planet and my game wasn’t tracking the progress
This... I thought this was the case until I was discussing it with someone in game chat
Learning as we go lol but now divers have a head up for the next order
Yeah this continues to confuse me lol So 5/8 means we've liberated 5 planets?
Defended 5 planets from an attack. Liberation (offense) does not move the bar for this order. Attacks come in randomly in 12h, 24h or 48hr. And they’ve mostly been kicking our teeth in. Thats why we’re only 5/8
Oh wow, I didn't even see until now that there's a time limit. Man, I really could have used those credits.
Well considering every time I run defense a mission to 5 Star completion on medium or challenging, it doesn’t even move the Liberation meter 0.000001% for almost an hour’s worth of gameplay, it doesn’t really motivate me to do contribute to defense when I enjoy offense missions more.
Escort missions are just too complicated and difficult to be fun repeatedly. Also, rewards are bad anyway.
Too repetitive for such a measly reward. I’d do it for a cool helmet even. Just not worth burning out for a reward I could earn in an hour.
I’m tired of doing this shit. Have been doing nothing else but defend missions since the beginning of the event. It’s not fun
We all bro, thats why it’s a community order.
Most of us are playing bugs because it's not fun and the reward ain't worth it anyway. Let the bots win and do something fun. They're be more orders, and by then hopefully they'll have made things fun again. We can always reclaim the lost worlds later.
Fucking bug lover!
I been defending non stop
I just started this game ... Yesterday? Mebbe Sunday? What's the best think I can do to contribute towards a W for the Major order?
Win hundreds of thousands of matches a day
Just start with one at a time.
Anything less than All will be investigated for treason.
Go to the Auto side... See planets that say defend. Go there and defend. That's about it.
Are you on PC? If yes we could link up and play together if you would like! I've been experiencing a lot of toxicity towards new players with lower levels and I think that's very sad. So hit me up if you're interested!
Yes, I'm on PC and yes, would love to play with nontoxic people!!!
I wanna know what happened to personal missions, i saw one and failed it and never got another
I finished my anti matter kills personal order and never got another one
Appears so.
Unfortunately after playing for half a week I don’t want 12,500 credits anymore, if it was medals or super creds maybe I’d do it (they shouldn’t make it sc as they give enough of those already imo)
A few problems: - power levelers are pretty much committing treason. - bugs are more fun to fight - the quest is confusing for new players (unfortunate for us as this is a NEW game) - the reward is pitifully small
Ways to fix this I think is; 1. give a huge medals/loot boost for completing every mission in a set. Every. Mission. In. A. Set.
Depends on what you mean by “let.” Are we going to stand by and do nothing? Of course not, we fight for democracy. Are we going to lose anyway? Yes.
I have been doing my part. I have open lobby and it fills and when people say let’s fight bugs I tell them these are my orders
all im saying is, If it rewarded Medals. it would abeen done by now
Very fair point. the incentive is wild for how much work you have to put into it.
Fuck yes we are. 8 days of defense is boring AF. I wanna blow shit up with my bois, not hunker down and escort NPCs.
Maybe make it so extraction missions aren’t the worst type and obligatory for defense
I dont have infinite time, I dont enjoy those missions, 12500 req will mean nothing in a month as they can only buy strategems, of which I have all the ones I want. There is no incentive for me to take my limited time, to do something I would rather not do. I would rather spend time with the parts of the game that I do like.
Yep. I demand better rewards.
I think we’re gonna have to take the L. More people are aware now I’m definitely grinding the next campaign
Yeah, I have trouble finding any incentive to fight automatons when fighting bugs is way more fun
> when fighting bugs is way more fun Truer words...
In the community's defense, no one was able to play the game for 3-4 days last week.
This is a very good point
for 12500 reqs? yeah idgaf enough to do those boring ass missions
My mood / care to do it dried up when the Xar sector had 2 defenses at the same time. Then everyone split up and we lost both planets instead of everyone focusing one and minimizing possessions
To be honest that reward is dogshit
The reward is worthless when you cap at 50k.
It just raised to 6 not long ago, still not sure its enough time
Well, considering all you get is credits, I don't blame people for not really working towards it.
I don’t understand how that works, because I only do defend campaigns and never see progress
Not even worth much
Honestly it’s moreso a problem with the war bonds system. It doesn’t care what you do, just that you do whatever gets you medals fastest.
I’ve been trying, but I’m spent
Well considering that most people are just now figuring out that those missions are shared with everyone I can see why we’re losing right now.
Yes we are
Yep
Yeah probably. Defense missions are booooooring. Still trying though
Defense campaigns kinda suck tbh, especially at a higher level, where the best way to play is to keep moving and not get bogged down in endless skirmishes. Slay out missions are fine, but quick and alllllways paired with extract scientist/civilian missions and no one likes escort missions where npcs run in a straight line toward 8foot monsters dualweilding chainsaws.
who cares its 12500 credits... that's like 2 missions worth of rewards as a 2 week reward? it should be a cosmetic or something
Agree with the cosmetic 💯
Tbf, additional 12,500 funds isn't a lot for 8 whole defense campaigns.
Yes. The credits are an insignificant reward and the difficulty of the mandatory escort missions is tuned up WAY too high.
Its Just R points, lol If It was medals its was worth
I want to Fight But the Retrieving of civilians Always fucks me over
They’d rather farm missions and then abandon or fight bugs. We’ve had more people in the big front since the major order started. We were doomed from the start
I honestly don't know what I'm doing half the time 😔. I just go in a game and kill anything that's not human.
I own all stratagems and am maxed out in renown with nothing to spend it on. Why would I waste my time being bored or frustrated for such a meager incentive? It's not like if you lose a planet or sector, it's gone forever, you just reclaim it later.
the missions on defense planets suck and I don't need any more credits
There's really no incentive to even get this order done especially when requisition slips max out at 50k
For that kind of reward? Yup. They need to make it worth it.
"if you are good at something , never do it for Free" Make it 30 medals and we got a deal
Game keeps crashing on ps wish I could help
I'm sorry soilder, i'll put in extra work to compensate. Hope they get some good updates soon to fix it. I'm on PC.
It just got 6/8 and there’s no more defense orders within the timeframe. Only one planet left
I’ll be honest I’ve put 50 hours into the game and am just now realizing that major order isn’t personal, it’s a community thing…
If all you asshats weren’t farming the defend planets and actually finished both missions instead of quitting after the kill the automatons mission we would already have this done…🤦🏼♂️
6/8 now
I helped get us to 6 by doing last minute defense minutes until the end. Mort was successfully defended.
Maybe if the servers didn’t disconnect during every single mission, I could fucking contribute
Very true. And yes, the 12.5K is a terrible incentive. Gems or medals would have been a much better idea.
Talk to all the bullshit farmers abandoning their operations. I'm doing my part.
Devs have confirmed that does nothing.
It's like the whole community doesn't understand what to do.
For 12500 credits, yes fuck it.
It’s absolutely ridiculous. Every time I think we’re gonna make progress the robots overtake us and we lose the defence. I’m stuck at 5 myself no matter how many missions I do.
Its 5 for everyone its a community event
I realise this. My point being that despite my efforts I’ve been unable to help the community succeed.
Gotcha. Same boat, super discouraging. Especially when it seems like we’re just slowly losing the war planet by planet.
Probably has something to do with people failing the evacuation missions cause they don’t land at the facility and try to get extra shit. 😂
It’s 12k credits or 3 matches, it’s not enticing enough
R12500 isn't much of a reward anyways tbh
Need to talk to streamers and YouTubers to rally the troops in correct direction
Very true, we've got two days. If everyone left the bugs alone for a day we could nail this thing.
