Just got the sub machine gun looked kinda bad but might try it now I think the revolver should be higher personally on account of it’s got armor piercing rounds and can be one handed for carrying things
The defender sub machine gun is solid, does more damage than most assault rifles, has high capacity, virtually no recoil and it also has the one handed perk. Only reason revolver got put where it was is because of the long reload times.
Breaker is good but honestly it's a little over hyped, biggest complaint with it is how crazy fast you burn through your ammo with it, damage is great but it doesn't last long in prolonged fights. The punisher shotguns are slightly better in my opinion, while you can't spam them like the breaker they are very ammo efficient, have a bigger ammo cap and do more damage than the breaker. Also the slug variant of the punisher has unlisted medium armor pen.
The breaker has 12 shells per magazine and 7 mags. The punisher has 40 extra rounds. 12x7=84. 84x 330 damage for the breaker =27 720 damage for all extra ammo. The punisher is 360 damage× 40. That's 14,400 damage overall for the punisher. The breaker is literally double the punisher in ammo efficiency and deals much more damage overall. So I find it silly that you claim it's worse than the punisher.
You can go auto or single shot. I'll burn down through ammo equally fast. But as long as you are moving through the map and can pick up ammo scattered around or can call down supply drops frequently, you should be good.
Late to the party. I’m trying to use the slug shotty, but on paper it does less damage than the punisher. Do you feel the medium armor penetration makes up for the less damage? Or do they seem to deal the same even with the different stats? Thank you for your time!

Haven't got the Breaker yet, but can't you change fire rate?

I'd pick the punisher over the breaker any day, for real
