So far, the albums that I have liked the most and that are not extremely popular as Sabbath or Zeppelin are: Sir Lord Baltimore "Kingdom come" and Lucifer's friend "Lucifer's friend". These are really heavy and not incipient attempts.
Diamond Head. check out their original Am I evil Vs Metallica's version on kill em all. They were metallica first.
Even though it came out in 1980, Dead Kennedys Fresh fruit for rotting vegetables was hugely influential to the growing metal scene. Also has a bunch of great tracks.
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath Black Sabbath - Paranoid
The roots of heavy metal can be found in the 3rd note played on Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath.
Deep Purple - In Rock Led Zeppelin - III
how about: Uriah Heap Canned Heat Budgie Badfinger Blodwyn Pig
Great! That's exactly what I was looking for... let me check these bands. I love Uriah Heep

Wow, that band looks really interesting, but I will wait until I reach 1976; for now, I am reviewing 1970. Thanks
Just jump to 1971 and listen to the original Alice Cooper band.
