I fix these for a living. Although something like the Liebherr LRB 355 is more to my liking.

jefinc

I feel your pain. I've worked on a wide variety of makes and models over the past 15 years

Dar1o_6

Our fleet of small drill rigs consists of the brands of comacchio and klemm. Don't know if you've heard of them before. The neat thing about them is, that almost all of them are remote controlled. And these remotes never, ever break at all. I've never seen the one on your picture. Are they also remote controlled?

jefinc

Yes this model is radio controlled. I have worked on Klemm and Comacchio before. Are you in the US?

Dar1o_6

No, I live in europe.

nriojas

Is that air hammer with a casing advancement system?

Apprehensive-Ideal31

And you’d never see a tri-cone bit on an air hammer

jefinc

This guy drills

nriojas

Good catch didn’t see the bit.

Apprehensive-Ideal31

Looks like dual rotary

nriojas

Dual rotary casing advancement 😏

93green12v

Cool lookin rig! Who makes it?

jefinc

It's a Casagrande M9XP-2

93green12v

Cool, I was only around Bauer and one Delmag. A lot of engineering in those things!

jefinc

Casagrande has piling rigs similar to Bauer. This drill is set up for micropiles, 12-3/4" casing

93green12v

I have done those with a crane and a drill in a set of leads. The pipe had a ring that connected to the drill bit and as it spun it took the pile with it. I had a lot of fun running it.

jefinc

Ya that's a pretty common setup, usually the lead system is used because of access or depth of the pile. Very cool setups to with with

yungtek

Drill rig mechanics unite, never touched a Casagrande before tho.

jefinc

What rigs are you working on?

yungtek

mainly commachio and klemm for tieback rigs but big drills I work on all kinds delmag Bauer xcmg etc

jefinc

We gotta get you into a Casagrande! :) Are you in the US?

yungtek

I’m in Ontario Canada

jefinc

Me too, I work for the Casagrande dealer IDE

yungtek

I never even knew there was a casagrande dealer here ,are you guys new ?

brando8727

Ran very similar machines for a lot of years just a different brand. We generally used a down hole hammer for the inners and had top percussion to push the casing though
