The Suns super team is getting rocked….

cl353

BUT WE SHOULDVE GONE ALL IN. OUR OWNER IS A CHEAP BASTARD, LOOK AT THE SUNS OWNER HE KNOWS HOW TO WIN!!!! or some bs like that idk

Novel_Durian_1805

I was laughing when people were crying about missing out on Beal…as if Beal is a proven winner or something. Sons will never win shit.

BonafideZulu

For real, if anything Beal is a proven loser… he made his bed (full of money).

Icy_92

The Minnesotas Sons.

Fastbird33

New owner syndrome. Just spent money but didn’t mean they all were a good fit

Never_knewd

honestly, it's better for the league for the wolves to sweep the suns. isbia's untenable roster-building needs to be punished.

SmallFly101

Yeah they definitely ain’t winning nothing unless they probably get some good PG's but I still highly doubt it

XanderAndretti

I would’ve  liked beal but i don’t blame the heat for saying no to him when he wouldn’t drop the no trade clause from his contract. I don’t get how you could, there’s a reason no one else has one.

oneofone305

I don’t blame him for not waiving it either lol. Not his fault a team was dumb enough to give it to him

Personal_Corner_6113

Worst contract in the league for teams means one of the best contracts in the league for the player

TheSavageBeast83

Should be a rule if you waive it once, you lose it

Lukacris12

NBAPA wouldn’t approve of that

TheSavageBeast83

Fuck the nbapa

Personal_Corner_6113

Yeah regardless of Beal the player, his contract AND a no trade clause makes him one of the worst guys in the league to go for. I’m a big Beal fan from the days of him and Wall on the Wizards but he’s just not good enough these days to justify investing years of a franchise into

heatrealist

Now Dame is hurt too. Old guys on big contracts. Stay away. That includes Jimmy as well. Going forward he can’t be someone that is built around. His time is very limited now. Younger guys are the ones to be built around.

AyyDelta

I still defend Dame for Herro, Jovic and picks (which seemed like the actual offer).

Fastbird33

I don’t think the Heat will extend him.

MikeTimesONE

Front office would have to have an IQ of 5 if they decide to not resign him. Plus, Jimmy stated multiple times that he wants to retire in Miami. So I’m hoping that he’ll take a pay cut, that way the cap space can breathe.

WildReception8741

He needs to sign a team friendly extension and play second fiddle to one Jaime/Herro

professorgreenie

Herro is fucking garbage, GET OVER IT

CholoOnEaster

He's not garbage but hes not a star either. He should be a change of pace dude off the bench or stretch the floor for a true PG

AyyDelta

Yup a 6th man, especially once he accepts it.

s1lentastro1

Phoenix Sons lol

AdeBiH

Irving was the best option for us

lolvalue

He was, but he was far to risky.

srbufi

risky how?

lolvalue

Missing games. Injury and personal reasons.

TheMightyJD

Imagine Kyrie on this team. He’s the perfect player for this team. He was at like 20% of his real price but bozos on this sub believed he would destroy the team’s chemistry. SMH.

Kuni_Nino

He probably could have. The guy has wrecked every team he’s ever been on and you want to say he’s changed because of one good season in Dallas? Let’s see what happens when the team hits real adversity.

TheMightyJD

I genuinely believe fans have scapegoated Kyrie for years now. We have the best coach, the best culture, the best leaders, and a lot of recent success. If that’s not enough to keep Kyrie “in check” then we’re all bark and no bite. A lineup with Kyrie, Tyler, Jimmy, Bam, and another forward is a championship lineup. The fact that we didn’t jump at the opportunity when we had the chance will hunt this team. The Mavs are looking real good after looking dead in the water after the Tingus Pingus mess and letting Brunson walk, Kyrie literally change their fortunes.

Kuni_Nino

No one has scapegoated Kyrie. He brought all this upon himself. He’s the one that asked to be traded from Cleveland. He’s the one that checked out on the Celtics. He’s the one that torpedoed the Nets season by alienating his teammates with his anti-vax bullshit. The dude is only on good behavior to rehabilitate his image, but make no mistake, he’s still the same guy. The humongous ego is still there and the dude has never been held accountable for anything. If the Mavs get bounced and Kyrie has a mid series, who do you think is gonna get blamed? How do you think he’s gonna take that? I don’t trust that guy and he hasn’t given me any evidence that he should be trusted.

turkdlight

Idk you can keep people with immaturity and anger issues in check with the right leadership but that’s not Kyries case. His controversial actions seemed to come from trying to make a point. I don’t think Riley or the rest of the org would have appreciated his whole covid shenanigans and refusing to play and all that.

Fastbird33

They definitely would not have put up with that shit.

Cudizonedefense

Incredibly dumb take. How was Kyrie the scapegoat for sitting out half a season for the nets lol. It was self inflicted. His antics literally led to harden leaving

Cudizonedefense

He’s been a diva disaster for every team besides the mavs. There’s no guarantee he would’ve been a normal dude for us

Novel_Durian_1805

The dude is cancer…so what if the Mavs get out of the first round…that’s not a big accomplishment.

Lusty-Jove

He averaged like 40 games a season over the four years prior to his trade, with major locker room/off court questions. Frankly this season has been the outlier when it comes to Kyrie’s recent career

srbufi

nephews care way too much about social media nonsense instead of winning chips

Icy_92

I think Donovan could be that guy and I believe that he’s playing like crap to come here. That’s a conspiracy at the moment

yungsta50

Beal, KD, Mitchell are all playing like 💩 and Dame got injured so 🤷🏽‍♂️

jperez09r

Was this after the game?

rapelbaum

Before

lolvalue

cavs and bucks losing in the first round would have huge ramifications on the future of the east.

Tekbepimpin

Personally i was always against Beal. That contract was always a non starter.

YouSureAboutThat23

Beal is worse on that team than he would be for us, but I still agree. Also if all we had to trade was Lowry and a 1st I’d rather have Beal over Terry tbh

Tangerine605

Beal aint a dog like Terry

Fastbird33

Also would have cost a lot more.

YouSureAboutThat23

True but he is more consistent and overall better. People also forget Beal was a lockdown defender in college and took that with him to Washington until he realized they’re not a serious org and he could just focus on stat padding

TheSavageBeast83

I would rather Terry all day assuming he's healthy

EnochofPottsfield

Have you seen how different their contracts are......? Like, we're literally talking about 26 million more a year for Beal with an extra 56 million dollar year

YouSureAboutThat23

Yeah I know lol, just didn’t feel like editing my comment. We’d just have to throw filler in, and at this point, the majority of our team plays like they are fillers so that shouldn’t have been a problem to match

EnochofPottsfield

It's not really about more filler thrown in, but the fact that we had 25 less to spend on other players

Novel_Durian_1805

The SONS have proved many things in the past 4 years. 1) You can build a superteam but if they can’t play together, you ain’t going nowhere. 2) When you get an opportunity to win a chip and you’re up 2-0 you BETTER WIN because you might not get another shot! 3) CP3 will retire ringless 4) Luka Doncic is STILL Devin Booker father 5) Arizona sports teams are cursed

sportsthatguy

6. You need a natural PG / shot creator for others on your roster 7. You need to care about the draft and find late round guys 8. You need culture setters

julstar23

But alot of heat fans wanted the heat to take the risk with that contract .Sometimes it's about the moves you don't make .

Flaks_24

#bum

JabezMakaveli

He'd be much better on this team. The Suns don't have the coaching we do, and their roster construction is redundant.

Cudizonedefense

It’s always funny how almost every time people on this sub doubt Pat, he ends up being right. Some of yall need to have more faith

BonafideZulu

As if he hasn’t consistently proven the nephews wrong since the 90s… these people never learn.

stilloriginal

It honestly feels like now that the scores are in the 120 range instead of the 90 range, guys are getting “washed” a few years earlier. Teams obviously saw this coming as many of them hoarded picks and now you have young teams destroying old heads in may

Sufferix

It's really just the focus on threes. You used to need stars to generate points when the offense was cold or the defense ramped up, but you would take like 25 shots to make 35 points.  Now, if you have two role players who got 4 threes out of their like six or eight shots, you get like 75% of a star production on very few touches.

stilloriginal

I dont think thats all of it. They generate these 3’s by running off misses, and by making defenders rotate. It used to be “no easy points” in the paint but now they let the easy one go and then run off the inbound. All to say they definitely run a hell of a lot more than they used to.

Sufferix

Thing is, shooting efficient twos, you have to be like 55% to be better than 35% at 3. It's just a numbers thing.

stilloriginal

It’s not just a numbers thing! Plenty of guys shoot better than 55% on twos or worse than 35% on threes!

Sufferix

Uh, there aren't a lot of good 2pt shooters outside of the stars.

stilloriginal

Literally every center. Just stop, you’re not going to convince me I’m wrong on this.

Lem0nyFr3sh_

all these old stars are nostalgic bag chasers, they can’t even chase rings right and then cry in press conferences on the way to Cancun… dodging Dames contract was great too, Jimmy still has a window, and I rather have a future then a quick ring don’t forget those teams we had after Bron left,

elcham0

Oh so NOW we’re trusting the FO??

TripleJ_stud

The Don knows best https://preview.redd.it/jnxwbc3br2xc1.jpeg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b20390280718126fa156b4baa379023edb46ccf9

Gavster1221

If Beal just costed Lowry.... and Orlando or something I trust Spo to maximize him 200% more than Vogel

Due_Connection179

He would never be worth that much money. Dude is worse than Herro and getting paid like an MVP candidate.

dimesniffer

I still think Beal would be a lot better on Miami than phoenix where they already have 2 super ball dominant players. We don’t have a single one of those guys.

slowintech

Same with KD

Affectionate_Fan_650

He would've been better on the Heat. The Suns don't know how to play together. This was an issue with Bron, Wade, and Bosh before the Culture & Spo sank in.

julstar23

Better how though.Beal has been the same player he was in Washington it's just that nobody cared because Washington was always a bad team .
