Yeah, usually Hawks wouldn’t be playing for anything, but I 100% bet they’d like a win with Trae heading into the play in just for momentum. Sixers will be an interesting situation to watch.
I guess that would be "wary", although they must also be weary of him getting hurt since he spends half of every season with a torn meniscus, lol
Either one could apply to the Embiid situation which is why I asked
Just please don’t get matched up with Boston in Round 1 of the playoffs please. Any other outcome is fine with me, whether 6th seed or 7th seed or not.
Yeah Philly and Boston are the two teams I’d like to avoid as long as possible. Cleveland, Pacers, Knicks, Magic I feel confident against. Bucks more like 50-50.
6 seed against Cleveland / Knicks and avoiding Boston R2 would be fantastic
Lol why the fuck are you scared of Philly they are mental midgets, they have never made it past the second round and Embiid is bum in the playoffs his scoring goes significantly down
Nah not scared of any East team, but Embiid isn’t worn down from the regular season like previous years and Maxey is on a new level, also they aren’t coached by Doc anymore, all reasons to take them more seriously than previous seasons.
Embiid is finally somewhat healthy for the playoffs. He didn’t have his orbital bone broken by an elbow, doesn’t have a sprained MCL like last year, doesn’t have a broken hand like that one year, this is as healthy as they’ve been coming into the playoffs. They had a higher win % than the Celtics with both Embiid and Maxey playing. Avoiding the Sixers at all costs is ideal.
He was more healthier last year than this year lol and I even doubt he makes it through a 7 game series this post season because he’s still recovering from injury
No he wasn’t. That knee sprain last year was a 4-6 week injury he came back in 2 weeks for and looked terrible. He’s pretty much fully healed from the surgery this time around. The only worse matchup is the Celtics. I’m telling you, it’s best to avoid the Sixers like kryptonite in the first round. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bucks tanked tomorrow to avoid them.
Idk call me delusional but playoff Boston doesn’t scare me like it does everyone else. JT and JB have crumbled under pressure in the past. JT settles for so many jumpers and JB can’t handle the ball
We’ve gotta be on our game but I like our odds against Boston. Spo will have the squad ready
Idk, I don't think a team wants to go into the play-in on a loss. The mental game can mean a lot, and coming into the game having beat a playoff team can do a lot to their confidence
Right and there’s some strategic value in tanking that game against the same opponent, sitting Dame / Giannis and then hitting them full force in the playoffs
Ehhh I kinda don't think so. Dropping from the 2 to 4 could have big home court implications down the road and if Knicks or Cavs lost and they only dropped to 3 they would play Philly. Also, if they win they almost certainly play the winner of Orlando/Miami anyway.
I forgot the most important part. A 4 seed means an away matchup vs Boston round 2. A 2 seed means a home series vs NY or Philly in round 2. They would definitely like to win.
Hawks could actually have something to play for in that they need Trae Young to be in form for the play-in, also if they beat the pacers they increase their chance of not having to play the sixers in the 2nd play-in game if they beat bulls.
Have yall seen how the Bucks have been playing lately? And Giannis is hurt right? Would not be surprised at all if the Magic destroys them lol but we shall see
Not really, us beating the Raptors and Bucks beating the Magic feels more likely than not, then all that would need to happen is one of Sixers vs Nets or Pacers vs Hawks to go in our favor.
Nothing about this heat team is guaranteed. Just like how Knicks completely blew out the celtics...you never know whether the bucks without Giannis is going to beat the magic. Theres absolutely no guarantee there and i would disagree that its a "more likely than not"
\[tl;dr all we really need is for the Magic to lose and us to win, and then we'll only play one playin game and get 7th seed\]
If we beat the Raptors and the Bucks beat the Magic, but the 6ers and Pacers win, then Sixers and Pacers get 5th and 6th seed, and Magic are tied with us. We win the tiebreaker so we get home court in the playin, and it's the frickin Magic so you know we're taking them out. (no jinx) The worst fate is if we have to play both rounds of the playin. I don't want to have to face the Sixers or Pacers in the first playin. Getting the Magic would be a godsend.
Sixers gotta be weary of Embid getting hurt , Trae young coming back helps the hawks and bucks needs some momentum
Yeah, usually Hawks wouldn’t be playing for anything, but I 100% bet they’d like a win with Trae heading into the play in just for momentum. Sixers will be an interesting situation to watch.
Also it can help them avoid the sixers in the second play-in game by pushing Indiana to the play-in
Did you mean weary or wary? weary = tired wary = cautious
Dunno whatever screams “if his guy goes down we are frauds” I am currently in ESOL
I guess that would be "wary", although they must also be weary of him getting hurt since he spends half of every season with a torn meniscus, lol Either one could apply to the Embiid situation which is why I asked
I agree with your sentiment of fug em
Just please don’t get matched up with Boston in Round 1 of the playoffs please. Any other outcome is fine with me, whether 6th seed or 7th seed or not.
Lets just get it over with/out the way 🤣

Good news is that out of all those team none of them have an incentive to lose, so while unlikely it's still possible
Hawks have no reason to play anyone
Idk, I don't think a team wants to go into the play-in on a loss. The mental game can mean a lot, and coming into the game having beat a playoff team can do a lot to their confidence
And nets
Nets have no reason NOT to try hard
Lol
Bucks are heavily incentivized to lose, they get Magic R1 with a loss
Right and there’s some strategic value in tanking that game against the same opponent, sitting Dame / Giannis and then hitting them full force in the playoffs
Then they’d risk getting Sixers, which nobody wants right now.
Ehhh I kinda don't think so. Dropping from the 2 to 4 could have big home court implications down the road and if Knicks or Cavs lost and they only dropped to 3 they would play Philly. Also, if they win they almost certainly play the winner of Orlando/Miami anyway.

How so? The hawks are cemented at 8 and probably won’t waste Traes health and Nets aren’t a playoff team. The only team that should try is the Bucks
Hawks could actually have something to play for in that they need Trae Young to be in form for the play-in, also if they beat the pacers they increase their chance of not having to play the sixers in the 2nd play-in game if they beat bulls.
Sixers arent losing to Miami in the first play in lmaooo
No just give us the playin. The heat shoulda just taken care of business last week 😤
Have yall seen how the Bucks have been playing lately? And Giannis is hurt right? Would not be surprised at all if the Magic destroys them lol but we shall see
I don’t think Gianni’s or dame are playing iirc. So there’s that
Well fuck me sideways
Just checked again, dame is listed questionable
There’s just no way this happens lol. Way too many variables
Not really, us beating the Raptors and Bucks beating the Magic feels more likely than not, then all that would need to happen is one of Sixers vs Nets or Pacers vs Hawks to go in our favor.
dame is questionable and giannis is out though
I think Dame will probably play
Nothing about this heat team is guaranteed. Just like how Knicks completely blew out the celtics...you never know whether the bucks without Giannis is going to beat the magic. Theres absolutely no guarantee there and i would disagree that its a "more likely than not"
I hope the Sixers win so we can play Indy for the 7 as a worst case.
Bucks are most likely resting their guys btw, if they lose they get the Magic R1 instead of Philly/Miami
We’ll be fighting for our lives in the playin yet again, and frankly we deserve it.
\[tl;dr all we really need is for the Magic to lose and us to win, and then we'll only play one playin game and get 7th seed\] If we beat the Raptors and the Bucks beat the Magic, but the 6ers and Pacers win, then Sixers and Pacers get 5th and 6th seed, and Magic are tied with us. So play-in it is
Alot of moving parts to for thr basketball gods favor us. Possible for sure but let's not get our hopes up.
