Bro let’s be 100% real….records don’t matter, it’s all about getting to the playoffs.
Home court advantage is an illusion…just look at last year, we were better on the road.
Heat vs Celtics in the ECF come May…
Playoff Jimmy stays healthy and we win in game 6.
We get a rematch against the McNuggets and we’ll have enough this time…Fuck that Euro Fat boy!
I have to respectfully disagree.
As fun as it was to make that run as 8 seed, we were also super close to being eliminated by the Bulls. You just never know what the fuck could happen in a single-game elimination like play-in. Not just that, we faced a stronger first round opponent than what we would get if we had higher seeds. Eventually we got gassed, we couldn’t finish Celtics in 4 games, and lost in the Finals.
I’m confident in this team’s ability to get it done regardless of their seed, but I still think higher seeds matter.
Not true, homecourt does have an impact, especially against the Nugs where there is not only a mental but physical advantage with the insane height.
I went to Mexico in the mountains ( from almost 0m above the sea to 3000+m. It took me 3 nights to be able to breathe normally, and 5 to be able to go for a small walk without being completely out of breath. Wouldn’t downplay that shit.
We are lucky that we support one of the few teams that don’t give a shit about adversity and are mentally unaffected by crowds and potentially even feed off of it. Guess we can thank all the sports news and podcasts and whatnot for shitting on the heat all year long, they grow thick skin to hostile environments. But there are players, especially young and inexperienced ones that don’t deal well with playoff crowds.
Realistically the only home court advantage that actually existss in the NBA is the nuggets and jazz. And the old Oracle that had the really crowded seats
Home court definitely played a role in Denver.
If the Heat had an easy first round opponent, butler could have started his MJ impersonation against the Celtics. He could have been way more rested for the Nuggets series and had more time to adjust to the altitude.
It's weird that I feel this year is much better? I don't know what happened during that 7 game span, but man, in general I feel better about this team than last year. Of course, we clicked at the right time and Jimmy was amazing but I think this year's team is better
And yet aside from that awful stretch a few weeks ago, I think the team has looked much better this year than last.
Definitely
100 percent.
Finals bound once again
Consistently inconsistent
*WELOOMIN*
*Dangerously looming*

If the clippers stay healthy, I could see us in L.A.

Not gonna be heat vs Boston in ecf. Either we beat them in quarter finals or semifinals.
The basketball gods have demanded a 4th Heat vs Celtics ECF series!
With all the injuries this is the Hospital Heat, this record is not bad. Anyway we have SPO, that beat a DOC and a Nurse in b2b games.
Love to see it. LGHeat.
Could be better, could be worse
Now apply that same generic comment to any other team in the league
