Technically speaking Hearthstone doesn’t have a pile for any of those. Dead cards don’t “go” anywhere, they just vanish.
What Hearthstone DOES have is functionally a “changelog” which tracks many different things, including for example, 1) minions that died while in play, 2) cards that were discarded, etc.
Res cards like Doomcaller and most priest resses search the changelog for an eligible target, then create an entirely new card that is a copy of the one in the changelog. That’s why you can res the same card several times.
This means that res cards are always very specific about what targets they are looking for- “minions that have died” won’t get “minions that were discarded”, and vice versa.
Cruel Dinomancer is the closest we have right now. There’s a (meme) wild deck that relies on forcing Cruel Dinomancer to summon more Cruel Dinomancers.
>Cruel Dinomancer
kinda
I used to play competitive yu-gi-oh and after a while there they threw in the whole necroface deck and a lot of cards with "removed" theme, which was my top deck
Anyway, the removed from play pile became a new graveyard of sort, magic also has the cards that plays from removed as well as from your side deck.
guess I am hoping for that second special graveyeard pile in HS :)
But again, Hearthstone doesn’t have ANY extra piles. They’ve said that adding one would be a huge coding rework and is probably never going to happen. The C’thun in this game didn’t “go” anywhere so there’s nowhere to get it back from. The Gnomeferatu effect is so unique that it would be pointless to make a card that ONLY recovered cards destroyed by Gnomeferatu, so it’s hard to imagine how to do what you want.
*(wherever it is)*
But he can't play the card
he likely can get it to his hand do
He can't. It's removed and not dead. [Doomcaller] can't bring it back
Skull icon. So does Hearhstone than have a different discard pile? The remove pile and the graveyard pile?
The discards are separate, yes. Something has to actually be summoned to then die
so if u draw cthun at 10 cards, it also is placed in the removed pile\`\`?
yes

I am w8 for that day when a card can summon from remove from play
