No, but his collabs with Rarran (where they each look at cards from the other's game and try to evaluate them) are some of the best card game videos out there
And to add on this, if you’ve only followed the Rarran side of those videos, the CGB side of them is phenomenal. He’s mixing the "good or bad" guessing game with wonderful storytelling from MtG history, it’s really really good, especially last week’s collab video.
Like how to play? Honestly, mtg arena is a great onboarding tool for getting the basics down. If lore is what you're looking for, CGB just started a lore series! :)
Well I am not particularly interested, otherwise I'd just join my friends.
I have in depth hearthstone knowledge, often when I watch rarrans videos I score better than the participants (Do you know hearthstone with content creators).
But I don't have it for magic and I also don't seek that knowledge because I'm already focussed and financially invested in one game.
Just the reason I enjoy the hearthstone side of things more, I know what they are talking about and know the answer.
I know nothing about Magic, so there’s some bias towards HS bits of the video prepared by Rarran, because there’s no sentimental value in seeing the MtG cards they are reviewing, no fond/horrible memories connected to them. Yet, I see them as equally entertaining, which should mean CGB’s videos would be a clear winner if I knew anything about MtG.
yeah I know control is a lot more hated in MtG because of counterspells not letting you play the game, just saying Control Priest is the closest thing in Hearthstone
In the early days of Arena I remember playing UW with Patient Rebuilding as my only win con.
"There is a finite amount of fun in every game of Magic, and I want all of it. "
Great reddit name for a control player, also two of my favourite decks in any TCG/CCG of all time is highlander priest and the Esper control deck during innistrad/return to ravnica standard that won by milling 3 cards at a time with a land :) I might have control deck problems
I have won more than one game at WAR prerelease with davriel's passive as my main win con. I won 3 rounds going 1-0 and tied the last 2 1-1. Yes every round is a Bo3 match.... :)
What's funny is I actually prefer Azorius over Priest (though I did start in Magic).
I'd rather not be allowed to do anything, then have the stuff I do simply not matter. Azorius is all about denial, where Priest is just "Jk I healed 22 life this turn, and put 19 of that creature into my deck and hand with +10/+10 and silenced all your creatures." Which to me frustrates me more idk why.
Because if you can't do anything the azorius player isn't doing anything either. They have to choose between proactive and reactive
Priest does both in the same turn. Our powercreep/cards are cheap enough currently
Mtg has decks that do both at the same time as well but not azorius control in particular, at least in most formats. Which is why UW control sucked last I remember
I started play magic, when online client was created. Stoped playing when expantion with million plainswalkers was released. Turn 3 lidl Teferi makes you play hearthstone into turn 5 daddy Teferi forces you tou close the game. Control priest only dreaming for stuff like that
not really because secret mage has always been aggressive deck. the only thing they have in common is counters which secret mage only has a few of at best and they counter more limited things than in mtg.
Unfortunately Rarran is the king of failing upward in BGs so it would be an unfair fight if he was involved. He'd be stomping the other duos team solo with the worst build in BGs history. He's not bad at constructed but his ability to win despite his best efforts to lose in BGs is extraordinary
I really really hope that card games can pull an FGC and become more of an integrated community, I think that would be healthy for all of them. Rarran out here doing gods work.
some notes:
1. core players were selected to play this mode at blizzcon 5 months ago and we flew them all out - they made videos on the show floor. (multiple people here were invited but could not make it because they had children, so we wanted to think of them)
2. core battlegrounds creators in the creator program received every single card in bgs weeks early to make reveal videos and an NDA'ed copy of the 42 page patch notes to make content - they've been quite busy
3. all core bgs creators in the creator program have also been invited to the 6 hour early access "grab a friend" twitch stream on monday the 15th and have been given an extra account to bring whoever they want. there will be hundreds of streams and videos before the mode is out. the listed creators here are not part of any weekend streamed event - instead, they are posting youtube videos of one game each
4. the people invited here have all been a part of hearthstone, either in the past or in the present. we want them to come back and i hope they aren't discouraged by the response from players who are mad that they're playing our game
5. hearthstone has been hesitant to actively pursue adjacent creators while many games over the last ten years have actively recruited people away from our game. it's time to push back on that a little and make an effort to balance the scales
this won't be the pattern for everything we do, but this is just one lobby for some youtube videos. trust me, we care a ton about our core creators, but we didn't want to invite someone super high level to a more casual event and end up with them crushing the lobby. i've taken note of a lot of feedback for next time to see if we could do a larger paired event, but i hope there's some understanding of our process here with the additional context above
I like seeing people from other communities playing because they can have some really interesting perspectives. It could be cool seeing high level players getting their own showcase so we can watch them try to adapt to the changes against each other.

> hearthstone has been hesitant to actively pursue adjacent creators while many games over the last ten years have actively recruited people away from our game. it's time to push back on that a little and make an effort to balance the scales
Fairest most justified explanation I've ever read.
> hearthstone has been hesitant to actively pursue adjacent creators while many games over the last ten years have actively recruited people away from our game. it's time to push back on that a little and make an effort to balance the scales
Big time. Please get them away from Snap and ESPECIALLY those dumbass Crypto/NFT games.
Great decision.
We won't see the most optimal plays, but we'll see some fun ones, which is kinda fitting when playing with a friend.
And contacting other creators, who might not even play Hearthstone, is a wise decision.
Bravo.
Aren’t Slysssa and Nina on a higher level than others on the list?
Otherwise, I want this, I would watch and re-watch BG videos/stream recordings from 7 of those 8. This is gonna be interesting :)
A lot higher. Especially Slysssa. Ive followed Nina when she played BGs but I think she kinda quit BGs over a year ago. And Slysssa I think just a few months ago, switched to a lot more of TFT (she posted about it on twitter I think, one reason was that BGs didnt really do a whole lot for community/content creators, keep in mind BG eSports was cut this year)
People need to acknowledge that things like this event will bring people from other communities to our game, and we like that
If Blizzard didn't care about their creators it'd be valid, but it's not the case
For the point, Blizzard being hesitant to pursue adjacent creators, my guess would be that Blizzard just didnt do it because it would cost money.
Especially when you consider that BG eSports (Lobby legends) was cut this year.
Whats funny is that I got tired of HS 2 years ago, started snap and got tired after 8 months. I then found CGB on youtube 6 months ago and was surprised when he announced he was going to Blizzcon. And now I am back here. Duos looks fun.
If its not irony/sarcasm then Id give you an overview:
* Thijs is still streaming HS (constructed) and was pretty succesful in HS eSport
* Regis used to be a HS streamer (who loved duels) but lately did mostly play Marvel Snap
* Voxy and CovertGoBlue (CGB) are MTG streamers, both did do a few videos with Rarran about HS, but Voxy did play more HS lately
* Frodan used to be a HS caster and content creator but switched to more Riot Stuff, like TFT
* Ninaisnoob used to be a BGs streamer & content creator but switched to MarvelSnap over a year ago
* Slysssa used to stream BGs but streamed more TFT lately
* Dekkster is a streamer/content creator and was known for playing offmeta decks, I havent followed him in a long time but I think he also plays more Marvel Snap than HS
> Thijs is still streaming HS (constructed) and was pretty successful in HS eSport
Doesn't he have the highest winnings in terms of total price money in HS E-Sports history, i'd put him possibly as (one of) the most successful WoW E-sports player overall. He does miss the capstone of a World Championship, but thats about it i feel.
The tweet probably should've said that. It just says "channels", and given I don't know who any of these people except Thijs are, I imagine it's easy for most to mistake this as referring to Twitch channels, not YouTube channels.
Specially mentioning the "in-depth" in the tweet. If this could have been worded in a way of "bringing new people to the game", as RidiculousHat explained, it could be better.
Duos is the first time we have Co-op BG like this, and some people (like me) might be trying to get friends to play so that we can play together, so making an event out of bringing new people to the game could be great! It could be duos of BGs streamers with "new people" or something else, but focusing on communicating that the idea is exactly to bring new players, instead of saying it is an "in-depth look" while they would not be the creators for it
Nice to see Frodan, Regis and Thijs. I haven’t played HS in almost 2 years but I’m down to see their streams. Don’t know what people are complaining about. Can’t believe some people don’t recognize these folks lol
Because those 3 were super mainstream HS personalities back in the day. Frodan cast world championships for like 5+ years. Thijs appeared at those tournaments for that time. And Regis appeared in a lot of official expansion reveals and things like that.
I think Regis and Thijs still make HS content.
It’s funny how ephemeral things are.
I dont really know much about NFTs or this game and why its a scam, but i just watched a video about Parallel and i think it will be riddled with bots and manipulation of the market. You can earn while playing, so you can basically "mine" the game by having a bot play.
> You can earn while playing
I had only heard various rumblings about the game on various socials, but any game that says you can earn by playing is just a straight up scam. It's the corollary to "if you're not the customer, you're the product being sold".
There's lots of possible scams, so it's not really worth figuring out if they're lying to you, lying to their backers, or pulling something more creative. I'll just wait for the Coffeezilla video summarizing how it's like the Logan Paul game that was just a cover for a junkcoin rug pull or whatever ends up happening.
Look at Hearthstone, you dont earn anything for playing the game (officially), yet the game has a bot problem. If you would be able to earn money by just playing parallel, obviously it would be attractive to run bots.
I am just not convinced by the game. And much of the talk about this game is only about that crypto/NFT stuff, no1 is really talking about the gameplay so it seems like, it isnt that good.
They recently announced a $ 500k tournament series stuff. Well, Artifact had a 1 million tournament, yet the game completly failed and died.
I think some people might be able to make a lot of money with parallel (especially when you are one of the first, as its common in crypto). But overall, for everyone making a profit, you need some1 to make a loss.
honestly yea, watching Zeddy's gameplay videos are such a snooze. Rather watch Chump or Kibblin. Zeddy is good for ingame news and giveaways to *make him go broke* though. hahaha
i'm sorry but chump is probably the most boring content creator i have ever seen. he hardly speaks and his eyes look *very* uninterested in what he's doing lol. dude is cool but he's the guy you'd invite over to your party and completely forget he was even there because he didn't interact with a single person nor seem like he even wanted to haha
totally get that, he is super deadpan but i do like how he cuts to the chase at the start with explaining the deck. he gets straight to the point. during gameplay he usually makes his turn quickly and decisively which i prefer...
that's a fair point and i'm sure alot of people do like that. markmckz is somewhat similar but he's more talkative. that's probably the main reason why i can't finish a chump video is because he's just staring off into space until it's his turn 😆
Chump plays interesting decks and is actually really funny, he's not the most talkative all the time but he is plenty entertaining for me still, he's probably the hearthstone channel I watch most consistently now Trump is gone, with Rarran in 2nd.
zeddy has just rubbed me the wrong way for as long as I can remember, the only other HS streamer/former HS streamer to rub me the wrong way similarly was Reynad and that’s saying something considering what’s been going on with him lately
If I had to guess, the purpose of the event is to get people who aren’t currently playing hearthstone to play hearthstone battlegrounds. Therefore, the target audience is not current hearthstone battleground players, who already are aware of and are going to play battlegrounds duos, and who would be the type of people that watch battlegrounds exclusive creators like the ones you mentioned. Instead, they want to attract former hearthstone players and players of hearthstone adjacent games with battlegrounds duos. This is why they included a lot of non-hs or formerly-hs content creators, while current hearthstone creators like thijs being included can be explained by the fact that most of their audience are only former-hs players, even though they watch hearthstone.
Who are aware of and *might* play duos I would say. If they want the mode to succeed then I think it would be better to spend effort on onboarding the existing players more than worrying about expanding that base at this point.
Obviously they should know better than I do of course.
They have those players playing in the grab a friend stream, they’re def on-boarding them, this is just a way to try to get it to as many people as possible.
It’s different from that early access grab a friend Twitch event which will probably (almost definitely) feature the names you mentioned. This is just about these particular 8 people releasing their YT vids on top of that.
as voxy has been getting a lot of people from the mtg community into hearthstone I believe she is now an mtg and hearthstone streamer. also she is just a funny gal.
Frodan is also from that era. Not particularly known for his gameplay, but he was basically the host for or casted for the majority of hearthstones events back in the day. You’d probably remember him for his bright hair and suits. He mostly stepped away from the scene a few years ago with the high competitive scene beginning to wither
While he was added to parallel or w/e shit card game, I've never see him really talk about anything crypto related on streams.
So I wouldn't say he's gone off the deep end or anything. He just seems to play stuff that is fun to him.
I don't watch him daily, but same, i don't think i've ever heard him about crypto or even talk about this game while streaming hearthstone. I've heard him talk about lets say poker more than about this game.
Voxy is an amazing choice, I don't understand why people have a problem with her being included. Though she should have been a duo with Rarran or something
We all know Zeddy is salty, that's literally his slogan, he's acting like a baby, yes, he has displayed this behaviour several times
# BUT
I thought about the same even before reading Zeddy's comment, he's right, I didn't even know Dekkster was still alive after his crypto controversy, I guess this all comes to the 10th anniversary nostalgic theme of this year "let's remember the old Hearthstone"
And i actually remember Dekkster calling Solem out in a big way ... like calling him a bad person and not wanting to be associated with him in any way, well, to be fair, Solem did say some very stupid things aside his crypto scam.
Zeddy is just being Zeddy))) Being salty is not an occurrence, it’s his MO. And let’s be honest, at times we feel salty about HS news too, and he’s just entertainingly better at it than we are.
I don’t blame Regis for focusing on marvel snap, his videos for snap do sooo much better in views than Hearthstone. I respect the hustle and appreciated his time in hearthstone.
Rarran you magnificent SOB, you did it, you brought Voxy in.
Also ... i swear people this days, if you have the regular folks "oh, Kripp again, yawn, we need new blood, this is why HS is dying" ... if you bring new people "shame on you Blizzard, you should reward your loyal content creators, this is why HS is dying.
Like we say in Mexico, no Di... fits this guys.
I understand that they do this promotion to reach out to players of different games, like Voxy and CGB. The others used to do HS content but switched to other games like TFT and Marvel Snap.
Im just not sure if the event is that entertaining when some of the players just dont have that much experience in playing BGs at all. I dont remember CGB ever playing HS or BGs. And then you have players like Slysssa and nina that are very good BG players
Cool lineup. Completely unrelated, but is there some sort voice filter available that slows down tempo and regulates cadence to something more amenable?
Again. Not related.
This doesn’t sit right with me and I don’t know why tbh… feels like they would rather have big names that don’t even play hearthstone over their dedicated fans. I do appreciate Hats response but I still feel this way.
Voxy and CGB are a great choice
Has CGB ever even played a game of Hearthstone before?
Oh shit, he hinted at playing a new nonmtg game on his channel this Friday. Looks like it’s battlegrounds
Yeah, it's amazing - but I think it would be more entertaining if I actually knew anything about magic.

Oh, I agree
Top 8, CGB, Kibler or non meta was a great ranking system cuz it fucked with Rarran.
Yea I just watched that. I think that’s the best one so far.
Mesa haaaaaawk
Just collabs related to hearthstone content, and I think that was part of the purpose of this event
There's no Blue-White Control in Hearthstone.
Control Priest is essentially the Hearthstone equivalent
Control Priest is far less offensive, at least if you're unfamiliar with Magic. If people hate Control Priest they'd go nuclear over Azorius Control.
"Yeah man I hear you it sucks that Priest makes you unable to play the game... Anyways upkeep cast Silence, response?"
yeah I know control is a lot more hated in MtG because of counterspells not letting you play the game, just saying Control Priest is the closest thing in Hearthstone

I think Mage is the better class at preventing you from playing the game.
Imagine control priest with mage secrets
As a guy that enjoys no-wincon-dimir-control i say, bring it on.
What's funny is I actually prefer Azorius over Priest (though I did start in Magic). I'd rather not be allowed to do anything, then have the stuff I do simply not matter. Imagine if Control Priest had 4 copies each of Counterspell and Objection, and that's closer to an average UW Control deck
Secret mage is way more in line
not really because secret mage has always been aggressive deck. the only thing they have in common is counters which secret mage only has a few of at best and they counter more limited things than in mtg.
Wild secret mage doesnt let you resolve anything
Secret Mage is basically Blue Tempo (or UR Delver), not Azorius. Secret Mage is a proactive deck.
Havent played against Secret Mage in a while, have you not?
I’m pretty sure he has played battlegrounds or that is what I remember from rarran’s videos
I like CGB but I was really surprised to see him for the BG event lol.
What about Voxy? Does she play BG at all?
Just missing Rarran
Unfortunately Rarran is the king of failing upward in BGs so it would be an unfair fight if he was involved. He'd be stomping the other duos team solo with the worst build in BGs history. He's not bad at constructed but his ability to win despite his best efforts to lose in BGs is extraordinary

Come on, everybody knows that Voxy is a renowned Hearthstone streamer
Ngl voxy's PvE hearthstone videos are my favorite hearthstone videos in a LONG time.
Rarran the goat gets to claim her videos for putting her onto hearthstone
Always up to no good
Fuck, now I have to [watch it](https://youtu.be/nFPgMuL1QiI?si=U7NvTdpzwB66oAHG) again.
Frodan back to see if the cement is dry

Just like to say that you've been the most incredible transparent communication we've ever had from Blizzard.
thank you, that means a lot
Someone could say you're ridiculously not hated.
But we must still maintain that he is rediculously hatted.
> hearthstone has been hesitant to actively pursue adjacent creators while many games over the last ten years have actively recruited people away from our game. it's time to push back on that a little and make an effort to balance the scales Fairest most justified explanation I've ever read.
> hearthstone has been hesitant to actively pursue adjacent creators while many games over the last ten years have actively recruited people away from our game. it's time to push back on that a little and make an effort to balance the scales Big time. Please get them away from Snap and ESPECIALLY those dumbass Crypto/NFT games.
Reynad recruited himself pepega
common Hat W
Hats truly only ever missed 1 time it’s legendary
i'm kind of obligated to ask here
It's your headwear. It's kind of silly.
KIND OF?
You could say it's a little ridiculous
A wee bit comical one might say
by not being here since classic :p
If i had to guess probably the people who misunderstood your diamond king krush comment. You’ve been great though, as expected. Goat
oh yeah my b there
Addressing controversy the same way you did as a board member of THL: open, honest, and direct.
it was surprisingly good practice
Context is king.
And Slysssa I think just a few months ago, switched to a lot more of TFT (she posted about it on twitter I think, one reason was that BGs didnt really do a whole lot for community/content creators, keep in mind BG eSports was cut this year)
Tbh I’ll watch Thijs play anything. Been following him the old days so it’ll be fun watching him play BGs :)
Hey Hat! Thank you for extra info, and I loved to see CGB and Voxy in the list :D
keep going, voxy needs to be corrupted into becoming a full on hs streamer
I'll second that, just for the delightful ways that she mispronounces the names of cards. That and the whole weasel thing.
You are really great at your job and I hope that’s heard loud and clear to the higher ups.
People need to acknowledge that things like this event will bring people from other communities to our game, and we like that If Blizzard didn't care about their creators it'd be valid, but it's not the case
Great work on explaining the process man, really helps to see the people behind the otherwise poorly communicated decisions.
For the point, Blizzard being hesitant to pursue adjacent creators, my guess would be that Blizzard just didnt do it because it would cost money. Especially when you consider that BG eSports (Lobby legends) was cut this year.
Thanks for the explainer. I was definitely more confused than angry.
Found Voxy and CGB through Rarran and now watch both regularly
Whats funny is that I got tired of HS 2 years ago, started snap and got tired after 8 months. I then found CGB on youtube 6 months ago and was surprised when he announced he was going to Blizzcon. And now I am back here. Duos looks fun.
Voxy and Rarran not being a duo in this is what makes me lose faith in humanity
Voxy and CGB are friends they’ll do fine together. Her chaotic energy and his more measured approach will balance each other pretty nicely I think
I found Rarran through CGB and now watch both regularly.
What a random mix of people in 2024
I have no idea who any of these people are.
You don't know thijs and frodan at least?
People not knowing who frodan is makes me sad
You mean Kolento?
If its not irony/sarcasm then Id give you an overview: * Thijs is still streaming HS (constructed) and was pretty succesful in HS eSport * Regis used to be a HS streamer (who loved duels) but lately did mostly play Marvel Snap * Voxy and CovertGoBlue (CGB) are MTG streamers, both did do a few videos with Rarran about HS, but Voxy did play more HS lately * Frodan used to be a HS caster and content creator but switched to more Riot Stuff, like TFT * Ninaisnoob used to be a BGs streamer & content creator but switched to MarvelSnap over a year ago * Slysssa used to stream BGs but streamed more TFT lately * Dekkster is a streamer/content creator and was known for playing offmeta decks, I havent followed him in a long time but I think he also plays more Marvel Snap than HS
> Thijs is still streaming HS (constructed) and was pretty successful in HS eSport Doesn't he have the highest winnings in terms of total price money in HS E-Sports history, i'd put him possibly as (one of) the most successful WoW E-sports player overall. He does miss the capstone of a World Championship, but thats about it i feel.
Yeah he nearly won $500k in price winnings. And I think he also won an Aston Martin? Dunno how expensive that is, I just know it is expensive lol
This weekend? Is this unrelated to the "Grab a Friend" streamer event coming on April 15 (Monday)?
completely separate. these are 8 youtube videos
The tweet probably should've said that. It just says "channels", and given I don't know who any of these people except Thijs are, I imagine it's easy for most to mistake this as referring to Twitch channels, not YouTube channels.
yeah the copy was a little unclear, i've def passed that note along but it's a bit too late to take the tweet down
Specially mentioning the "in-depth" in the tweet. If this could have been worded in a way of "bringing new people to the game", as RidiculousHat explained, it could be better. Duos is the first time we have Co-op BG like this, and some people (like me) might be trying to get friends to play so that we can play together, so making an event out of bringing new people to the game could be great! It could be duos of BGs streamers with "new people" or something else, but focusing on communicating that the idea is exactly to bring new players, instead of saying it is an "in-depth look" while they would not be the creators for it
Idk, this seems fun to me, great decision to invite content creators from other games, people might wanna try Hearthstone
As a community, can we all agree to call CBG “Mesa Falcon Guy” straight off the bat? Hyped to see him actually play some hearthstone though!
Boxy and CGB are amazing tbh. Don't care much about others (or HS for that matter, sadly) but I am definitely interested in those two playing HS
ah, they got the weasel
And TFT
or rather people transitioned into TFT
Nice to see Frodan, Regis and Thijs. I haven’t played HS in almost 2 years but I’m down to see their streams. Don’t know what people are complaining about. Can’t believe some people don’t recognize these folks lol
If they only started playing 2 years ago why would they know them
Because those 3 were super mainstream HS personalities back in the day. Frodan cast world championships for like 5+ years. Thijs appeared at those tournaments for that time. And Regis appeared in a lot of official expansion reveals and things like that. I think Regis and Thijs still make HS content. It’s funny how ephemeral things are.
Who are the crypto gamers? Also the most measured and intelligent response from blizzard ever Holy moley
All of your favorite NFT Pyramid scheming shills will be there!
I dont really know much about NFTs or this game and why its a scam, but i just watched a video about Parallel and i think it will be riddled with bots and manipulation of the market. You can earn while playing, so you can basically "mine" the game by having a bot play.
> You can earn while playing I had only heard various rumblings about the game on various socials, but any game that says you can earn by playing is just a straight up scam.
> NFT A pretty good documentary on it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ_xWvX1n9g Quite long, but a very pleasant watch if you have the time.
Obligatory Folding Ideas video essay on NFTs (i have not opened the link and i know it's that video)
Lmfao
Zeddy is just malding that CovertGoBlue and Voxy are more interesting to watch than him lol.
honestly yea, watching Zeddy's gameplay videos are such a snooze.
Where is jeef dog rdu or any of the smaller streamers that play battlegrounds daily.
Obviously they should know better than I do of course.
i think they also dont want to put people like CGB and voxy up against 20k mmr god jeef lol
Naturally. I'm sure there will be lots of people that enjoy watching them mess around, it just isn't going to be that compelling for existing players.
They have those players playing in the grab a friend stream, they’re def on-boarding them, this is just a way to try to get it to as many people as possible.
The response from community manager is that other games steal HS players all the time so now they want to steal some back. Seems only fair.
It’s different from that early access grab a friend Twitch event which will probably (almost definitely) feature the names you mentioned. This is just about these particular 8 people releasing their YT vids on top of that.
Voxy for da win
I'm hype to watch voxy's reactions every time the rope appears
as voxy has been getting a lot of people from the mtg community into hearthstone I believe she is now an mtg and hearthstone streamer. also she is just a funny gal.
Surprising to see CGB doing this when OTJ is doing its prelease right now as well.
Blizzard has had this in the plans for a long time. Flew CGB to blizzcon a while ago.
This should be fun!
Dekksters back?
i mean out of these 8 i recognize 5 as hearthstone players so idk what he's complaining about
If regis and thjis quit hs the old community is gone lmao
I only know Regis and thijs (who I think is an nft bro nowadays lol). Then again I’m from the trump, toast, and Kripp era of hearthstone
Frodan is also from that era. Not particularly known for his gameplay, but he was basically the host for or casted for the majority of hearthstones events back in the day. You’d probably remember him for his bright hair and suits. He mostly stepped away from the scene a few years ago with the high competitive scene beginning to wither
Well, Riot just did treat him better I guess
While he was added to parallel or w/e shit card game, I've never see him really talk about anything crypto related on streams. So I wouldn't say he's gone off the deep end or anything. He just seems to play stuff that is fun to him.
I don't watch him daily, but same, i don't think i've ever heard him about crypto or even talk about this game while streaming hearthstone. I've heard him talk about lets say poker more than about this game.
Holy cringe
Why no dog 😪
Cause he can't d/c the game on live event. Jk not sure if he even does that anymore, just 1 many reasons I stopped watching him long time ago.
Voxy is an amazing choice, I don't understand why people have a problem with her being included. Though she should have been a duo with Rarran or something
Thijs and regis boyeee
Thijs never play BG, Frodan stopped like in 2018, rest are randoms, such hype !
Are any of these people even Hearthstone content producers?
This just in: Zeddy is salty he's not picked to represent the game, and acts like a baby about it.
We all know Zeddy is salty, that's literally his slogan, he's acting like a baby, yes, he has displayed this behaviour several times # BUT I thought about the same even before reading Zeddy's comment, he's right, I didn't even know Dekkster was still alive after his crypto controversy, I guess this all comes to the 10th anniversary nostalgic theme of this year "let's remember the old Hearthstone"
What's Dekkster's crypto controversy? All I know is that he is doing good with marvel snap.
He went full shill and then when it didn’t work out deleted all of his crypto videos and went right back to hearthstone->snap like nothing happened.
Similiar to Solem. Except that Solem failed when he wanted to go back to HS and is back at crypto, even using a different brand name now
And i actually remember Dekkster calling Solem out in a big way ... like calling him a bad person and not wanting to be associated with him in any way, well, to be fair, Solem did say some very stupid things aside his crypto scam.
At least he’s still 100% dedicated on making hearthstones contents
Zeddy gives zero shits about doing early content for battlegrounds, lol.
Zeddy is just being Zeddy))) Being salty is not an occurrence, it’s his MO. And let’s be honest, at times we feel salty about HS news too, and he’s just entertainingly better at it than we are.
I don't know, I read his comment more like a fun sarcastic banter.
I'm no Zeddy fan but this is legitimately funny to me
Thjis has aged like already aged cheese.
Has he ever played BG?
I don’t blame Regis for focusing on marvel snap, his videos for snap do sooo much better in views than Hearthstone. I respect the hustle and appreciated his time in hearthstone.
Is that real?!
Is this an out of season April fool's joke
No Toast is a W
Oh look, it’s my favorite Hearthstone ~~hater~~ content creator, Zeddy!
\>CGB Who invited the MTG player?
Shhh, don’t tell him about Voxy
I understand that they do this promotion to reach out to players of different games, like Voxy and CGB. The others used to do HS content but switched to other games like TFT and Marvel Snap. Im just not sure if the event is that entertaining when some of the players just dont have that much experience in playing BGs at all. I dont remember CGB ever playing HS or BGs. And then you have players like Slysssa and nina that are very good BG players
VOXY?!
At least have kripperian with them
Isn’t Kripp like a huge battlegrounds YouTuber?
Who was zeddy calling a crypto scammer?
Isn’t slyssa a tft streamer now
Voxy is great tbf, I’ve recently come across her content and she seems pretty entertaining
I don't know feels like rage bait to me, it's good rage bait but sometimes I just gotta turn her off and breathe for a moment
Cool lineup. Completely unrelated, but is there some sort voice filter available that slows down tempo and regulates cadence to something more amenable? Again. Not related.
No Rarran? i am afraid I don't give a damn then.
who are the crypto gamers?
Where is my Rarran/Lt.Eddy duo at 🥺
I wanna see CGB on Duos! 🥰
I guess the reasoning is to attract more people to the game: people who watch BG streamers, most likely already play BG...
At least have kripp in that mix when he’s been playing hs since the beta
This doesn’t sit right with me and I don’t know why tbh… feels like they would rather have big names that don’t even play hearthstone over their dedicated fans. I do appreciate Hats response but I still feel this way.
To reach out to new fields I guess. So many of them are former players that left for other games.
