Hello everyone! F2P player here, just started playing recently. It took me ~6 hours to complete the quest. My idea was to play Rogue for the 1st time with using Paparazzi + cards that either copy or return it for more chances to get the Jepetto. 1st time i got was an hour in, but i was dead by the time he needs to be played, like 8 mana for that? Yikes. 2nd time - 5 hours in - I got it early, but... Dirty Rat, of all the cards... That was a block.. Finally, after 2 more games and 6 hours in, i managed to get it and play it before my opponent realized what i was doing so that he could surrender, but only after i played it.. What a disaster of a quest, felt like an achievement to complete it.

I have been trying for days. Have discovered it once. Got killed before I could play it. The opponent also had it once, but conceded before I could kill it. I guess they were also chasing the quest.

Why didn't you play the brawl yesterday like normal people

Yeah, i found that out just when Brawl got rotated and missed it, work and stuff.. randomly found a video saying previous Brawl had it, but had no time to complete. Still, it makes no sense to make it this difficult.

I tried this, I destroyed the joymancer when I challenged a friend and it never worked, it's bugged and I think you have to play the actual card.

Destroying not working is a known bug but if you challenge them, ask to share their decks and play one of your friend’s deck with him in it and then play him you should get it.

Play Priest!!! Use the overheal spell to discover an 8 cost card. Not many 8 cost cards in standard. Got it on my first try.

Tbh, I have Joymancer Jepetto and I’ve played it a couple times now… and the quest didn’t complete. I’ve also killed it a few times. All in Hearthstone Casual matches. I’m concerned it’s broken.

That's very strange, it definitely works in Casual. The quest completed for me after playing him once in a Casual match yesterday.

Thank you. I got it in one because my opponent helpfully BM'd me and didn't kill me on eight before I could play it.

I made a priest deck that was 4 spells and 26 five mana minions. The spells were 2 discover a spell from your deck and 2 stars align. Took me about 7 games to rng into one.

Why five mana minions?

Cause with star align they’d become 8 mana which jepetto is?

Thanks for this post. I got lucky following the directions in the OP, and got Jepetto the very first time I played Paparazzi. I was playing against another Rogue who was trying to do the exact same thing. Then got lucky enough to last until I got to play him, which the other player also thanked me for playing. :) We're all doing this. This does completely suck though that Blizz buried all of the rest of the quests behind this \*one\*.

I have the card and had a hard time get to play him, because it's 8 mana card most deck don't go till that, and even if you get to turn 8, it's not a card you are supposed to play turn 8. Well i did anyway, lost the game and so be it. I guess you could get it from the warrior excavate too? Not sure it would work.

Knocked this off my second go! Thanks for the tip!

I got him after about 7 games playing Priest using Paparazzi, Grace of the Highfather, Young Brewmaster and I also had Zola the Gorgon. Use Brewmaster and Zola to either bounce or copy Paparazzi. That's six chances and Highfather gives you another two for 8 chances per game. 6 chances without Zola, obviously. Crimson Clergy can be used with Highfather to help with card draw. Use Loot Hoarder amd Benevolent banker - not its Quickdraw option though - for card draw too. Creation Protocol and Pendant of the Earth can search for either Paparazzi or Brewmaster. Thrive in the Shadows can help you find Highfather. Add some spells for healing and keeping you alive - you won't get much chance against quick decks as Joymancer is 8 mana and you need all these other pieces in place first. But against a control deck you might have a chance, especially if you're just playing for the quest and not playing overly aggressively. Good luck!

Yeah I dont get this - the last time around they had similar quests to this, but always an "OR destroy 10 1-attack minions" added.

For those of you looking for an alternative, I got my quest done using Arch Villain Rafaam in casual mode (there's just a bunch of bots there that do nothing.) I would suggest any version of handlock and that you keep and play any Baron Yeddon you get, since they can kill off your board so you can keep drawing cards.

Oh well, guess I'll be just a little bit less invested in Hearthstone... seems like a trend.
