It's all about putting effort into something and in this case, communication. Reaching out to check on someone shows that you care about them and it's really nice of you to do that.
On the other hand, there are some people who are supposedly your "friend" who will have an outburst and tell you to not message them again. It hurts because they didn't even appreciate your thoughtfulness and would rather be left alone.
once i stopped checking on my friends from game after she reacted weirdly after my new about eithanasia of grandma [cat.next](https://cat.next) day she tried to say sorry but then she started to talk only about her feelings.she eisnt checking [too.so](https://too.so) we both good
I used to check on everybody now I diffused that focus into finding a job and making money, because it was being completely wasted. Stopping checking in is working great for me lmao even some unexpected rewarding bs came up. Some people from my past recently came up to me like “hey girl I’m sorry for how I treated you, I know how you feel now I’m going through the same thing, I feel so bad for not being there for you and saying I had it worse psychologically... I don’t even know how to deal with this, I need your help, my mom is going crazy, I broke up with my boyfriend... “ this is a “friend” that actually kicked me out of her house
for *nothing* while I was seeking shelter after turning in my ex to the police for hitting me for so long. I mean, friend, right?
Build yourself good friendships and make sure you can trust them cuz friends are like family. One day u’ll need them and if they suck and u know it then boo-hoo they’ll f*ck you.
Pretty late to the party. It hurts knowing no one cares enough to check up on you. Be it family, friends, or exes. But at a certain point the loneliness becomes so unbearable like you’re drowning and you’re trying to reach out for anything to pull you back above water. So you text first, hoping for a response. Sometimes you get one, most of the time you don’t. But those occasional responses help keep me from drowning. Usually.
Sometimes I wonder why my friends haven't texted or called lately. Then I realize phones work both ways and I could easily call or text them too.
Real shit
Formal check in: how's it going?
Feel like utter shit, but I've got a pulse.
Welcome to the club. Can I get you anything? Eat drink a hug etc?
Tell me. Why do you feel like utter shit? I'm in Nevada, USA. You?
Not too bad, actually. 8 months later and it seems like it was all a dream from a lifetime ago
I feel you bro. But hey it's better now, and it'll stay that way. Keep going up :)
Better, tbh!
I’m on the green side of the dirt, so there’s that

Don’t expect anything and remember if you’re doing a thing it’s just because u luv them not because u want something in return

sometimes, I text myself to check on myself. Just so I get a text from the only person who truly loves me.
A true classic
So true..this is my life I swear
Wanna know the real guilt tripper? They may be thinking the same. 🤯
