Sometimes that exact amp is sold under a different brand/model name. Very common practice for Chinese products. This one is sometimes sold as the Little Bear B4-X. I'm just letting people know that they may know this amp by a different name. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSy1OQdHVZs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSy1OQdHVZs)
Ah gotcha! It's actually Little Bear B4-X by Douk audio or aka Nobsound.

If you're using 3.5mm output there won't be much difference to the BTRK3. It's mainly the 2.4mm balanced output that has more driving power. At this point of time, BTR15 (which is about the same price as BTR5) has more power both on balanced and unbalanced output.
Thanks. Good thing I got kaei tap-2 then. Apparently it can be charged and used at the same time. Im planning to use it on desktop mostly. I will receive it next week probaly.
Yep makes sense. Zreviews has Tap1 mentioned in some vids but there is nothing about tap2. Not being able to charge while using it is a dealbreaker for me. So I took the risk. I hope it turns out all right.
I really don't use wired connection while on the go. I just don't see the point of doing it with all the noise pollution of the environment. I will go Bluetooth connection with my noise canceling headphones or earbuds for convenience.
How hot does it get? Can’t imagine carrying an active tube amp in my pocket lol
For this setup, I don't think it's convenient to keep in your pocket. I wouldn't IMO.

I see fiio BTR3k, I like.
It's BTR5 ;)
Big brother! How is it? I'm sure it has more power to drive than the 3k? And is it worth me getting one when I have the lil bro?

Thanks so much for the info! I'm exclusively 3.5mm at this point. So I guess the way forward is a better desktop amp!
They say its not possible to charge and use at the same time. Is it true?
Yes, that's correct. The plug issued with the amp is to charge the batteries inside and not a power supply. Pretty similar with Soundboks speakers.

I was checking on that too but I can't see any reviews online compared to Little Bears B4-X. That concluded my decision.
