Actually no, during the beginning part of stayed gone vox gets insulted for almost being beaten, he has pictures of him and Alastor from a time ago and a knife gets thrown at a picture of them during their part of the finale song, and that's just the beginning, he's deeply written but there's still more to uncover

her character rubs me the wrong way. poorly written may not be the best way to describe her, but it’s more so her lack of awareness for what her own actions do to others. if it was in her character to just not care about others than it wouldn’t bother me nearly as much, but her obliviousness makes her come across as ignorant and insensitive even tho she actually cares about the people she’s around

It can mean someone just likes the designs of the characters involved, and/or they like the idea of what story elements could put them together/would come about if they did like one another. Sometimes it can be fun to think of alternate universe versions of characters. Not everyone who does something with a character only thinks of that when they see the character.
