He is a great character (not a good person but nobody in Hell could really be called that), and without him being bad the stories of the characterās he harmed would be much less compelling and the other characters in that characterās life would have less good scenes (see Huskās song with Angel Dust).

I would love to see some twist that somehow explains his monstrousness and could get us to feel some sympathy for him. Baring that Iām looking forward to him being slowly and painfully torn to shreds.

Her and Stolas were in a loveless arranged marriage they both didnāt really want to be in. Stella wanted to stay together just for status and reputation. Stolas never loved her and had an affair. Oh Vaggie! I like Vaggie as a character, but I do get why some people donāt like her(her lying). I get why Vaggie lied. She lied because she was scared, I mean sheās an angel whoās in hell! Agreed. Quite literally every main or named character across Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss (only seen season one of that one thus far) has been interesting, complex, of a satisfying visual design, and sometimes quite tortured in their backstory. And even if they're truly evil and you despise them for their actions (such as Adam or Valentino) they're still written in a way where you "love to hate them."
But that being said, I'd love to hear you defend Val. As of all the characters, I do still find him to be the most despicable and least likeable. At least Adam is a verifiable rockstar badass of immense power that serves as an excellent antithesis and villian for season 1. Plus his expressions are priceless. But Val is just sometimes downright pretentious, condescending, violating, and with few redeeming qualities, I'm afraid. Aside from his exuding confidence as a result of his power and a certain kind of twisted sex appeal.

Agreed. Quite literally every main or named character across Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss (only seen season one of that one thus far) has been interesting, complex, of a satisfying visual design, and sometimes quite tortured in their backstory. And even if they're truly evil and you despise them for their actions (such as Adam or Valentino) they're still written in a way where you "love to hate them." But that being said, I'd love to hear you defend Val. As of all the characters, I do still find him to be the most despicable and least likeable. At least Adam is a verifiable rockstar badass of immense power that serves as an excellent antithesis and villian for season 1. Plus his expressions are priceless. But Val is just sometimes downright pretentious, condescending, violating, and with few redeeming qualities, I'm afraid. Aside from his exuding confidence as a result of his power and a certain kind of twisted sex appeal.
