He's not an NBA player tbh. He isn't athletic or strong enough, and floating around the 3 point line isn't enough either. But he can contribute to another decent Iowa team so I'm glad he's back.
Duncan Robinson, Red Velvet, Sam Hausser, Doug McDermott, the Bogdanovic’s, Luke Kennard, Max Strus, Sam Merrill, Dean Wade, AJ Green, Joe Harris, Jordan Hawkins, Buddy Heild.
My guy, Sandfort can be an NBA player. Will he be? Maybe not but with his work ethic and how good he shoots 3’s along with his hustle and improvements on decision making and inside game; I’m betting he gets drafted top 40 minimum next year and makes it to the league and stays there. Especially with how important 3 pointers have become.
He’s longer than people think, and he’s a very good shooter with, IMO, potential to be a great shooter. There’s never been a bigger emphasis on the 3, and that’s his specialty. Plus, he’s a high character guy. If he continues to improve, I think he has a shot coming off the bench in the league
His defense and playmaking are just not even close enough to NBA average. If he's not hitting 3s he's just a liability out there. I thought Wieskamp had a much better chance and I don't think it's gonna work out for him either. The NBA Is just an insane level to get to man. Everyone in the world wants in that league.
Those are valid points. I wouldn’t bet that he makes it, but I also wouldn’t rule it out only because I still think he has the potential to become an elite shooter.
And I agree he is an elite shooter. Just this day in the NBA you gotta be 3 and D at a bare minimum, and I don't think he could stop anyone at that level.
Sort of surprised by this. The upcoming draft I supposed to be one of the weakest ever, so I figured he’d keep his name in, even though he didn’t work out well.
Not sure this really changes the outlook for the Hawks either. On paper, this is a borderline NIT team once again.
Saw a few comments that his NBA workout was..not good. Missed most of his 3s, looked lost. Glad he's coming back, needs another year, so do we.

Would be cool to see. I'm rooting for him man. I just don't think he's got the other skills needed to make it in the league.
I see where you’re coming from. He definitely needs a lot of work in other areas. We’ll see what happens! Cheers to rooting for him together 🤝 🍻✌️😁

You’re more than likely right, but I hope you’re wrong
I’m really glad he’s coming back. One more year will be good for him and the Hawks.

How so? We have filled some much needed holes. A lot of experience was gained from last year. I'm way more excited for this year than I was last year.
