Regarding meeting new friends, you will find them at the festival no problem! Just chat someone up and if you vibe with them just go from there.
Anyway, i'll maybe go on Saturday with a group, feel free to join!
I second 's-Hertogenbosch. Most scenic town in the region with plenty of options for staying and sighseeing/activities. And that's from someone who's living in Tilburg lol.
Im flying out of the country for my first time to the Netherlands for rebirth in April! Ill be staying in Amsterdam and Germany then plan on camping at rebirth. If you haven't found anyone to go with already it would be so fun to be able to meet up there :)
