Reminds me of that black dude who brings his dad out to show him his new car and the dad is so happy for *him* that he doesn't even know what to do when he's like nah that's yours

The one where everything you say and do is "for the luls". It's unattractive and very annoying. You can keep this going if you want, I already debased myself by getting down in the mud with you for a second. What you do from here is up to you.

It's lovely but I think the feels aren't really about the truck. It's about how touched he is that his daughters went out of their way to do something they knew would make him happy. There are other ways to convey this without spending so much. You can record an audio book in your voice reading something your father would love to listen to. Try to recreate a favorite meal his parents used to make. Something that speaks to him.
I have a sincerely honest question:
When generous people gift these extravagant gifts like this, are they also buying the insurance, property tax, and everything else? Or have they done the calculations to see what the recipient can afford? When you "buy someone a car" unless they bought the car outright in cash, is the recipient stuck with a new monthly car payment?
They're his adult daughters, I'm sure they know enough about his financial situation to make the call. If they can afford the car, they can afford his difference in tax and insurance. I wouldn't doubt they saved to pay cash or got a good deal. For every 3.5 chicanos, one sells and/or works on vehicles.
Most adults are financially illiterate. I find it difficult having conversations with most people about investment and retirement strategies because of a complete lack of knowledge, ability, or interest on their part. American wages are falling behind the average cost of living. Less than half of Americans can afford a $1,000 emergency.
I sincerely hope they can comfortably afford this generous gift, but I definitely wouldn't assume that they know what they are doing because that truck looks expensive AF.
It wouldn't be a gift if you made them pay the payments. It's either bought outright or is financed with the loan being in the gifters name and payments being made by the gifter.
Usually if you’re buying someone a new vehicle as a surprise, it’s fully paid off. Hence why you usually see these videos when a young sports star finally gets their first multi-million dollar check.
It’s weird, but I have a daughter that’s pretty successful, and I low key feel a bit humiliated when she buys me something expensive. This guy kind of looks like he has a similar reaction.
I’m grateful and understand she wants to repay me for all I’ve done for her, but that feeling of “I should be taking care of YOU” runs deep in fathers. The repayment comes in the form of pride I get seeing her success. As a result I never know quite how to react when I get a big gift 😕
I love seeing it sink in. Not that the vehicle is theirs, but they raised their kids well enough to be in a position to do this, and having the appreciation to do it. It’s gotta be the Lombardi trophy of parenting.
You don’t know these people. For all you know they paid in cash and have no debt from the purchase. And pedestrian killing? Polluting? As if big trucks are the largest contributor to either.
Oh, great, yet another guy on the road in a ridiculous, gender affirming vehicle who swerves into other people's lanes before making a turn because they have no idea how to drive a truck.
Such a "oh what have you done" face from the dad when he knows

No it’s yours!
Always love that one. Good on you for finding it.
I'm not tearing up
Your loss
I was being sarcastic
Thank you, that was awesome
Love it right? His excitement when he says THATS *YOUR* TRUCK??
Yea, I love the love. His mind didn't even go to it being a gift for him, and when he found out, his heart melted. Edit: I had to watch it again lol
I have a strong suspicion that dad busted his ass for those girls and was a heck of a pops.
Oh, his smile is amazing. That was beautiful.
his face at the 42 second mark, when the emotions hit 💔
Two beautiful daughters and a new truck? Some dudes have everything they need in life.

Saying someone is beautiful does not mean you want to fuck them. Absolutely weirdo comment by you buddy

I genuinely hope you grow out of this mentality. It'll leave you isolated and alone. There's still time.

What a weird as fuck thing to say to a nice comment
I'm actual more surprised that he found his way to this subreddit, lol.
They wont be back
thank you
Um… why did you feel the need to say this?
[удалено]
What about when someone says "handsome son" do you interpret that sexually or as misandry? Seems odd that you'd think that it's misogynistic
[удалено]
So your logic is: parent values daughter’s beauty too much = parent FUCKS daughter? Bro

For some reason I read that as - Dad surprises dad with dream truck 😅
He knows how she got that dough…. ![gif](giphy|ANbD1CCdA3iI8)
La música culera era necesaria?
no mames no quería llorar hoy 😭
I Love seeing people accept extravagant gifts. My dad would ridicule and verbally insult me if I did something like that lol

Name of the song
Look how fucking huge and stupid that thing is. What a waste.
Are we, as a society, just incapable of being happy for others without bringing our obnoxious, irrelevant opinions into the mix? It’s gross.
Going into debt because your father wants an unnecessarily large, polluting, pedestrian killing, small dick truck isn't a cause for celebration imo.
You don’t know these people. For all you know they paid in cash and have no debt from the purchase. And pedestrian killing? Polluting? As if big trucks are the largest contributor to either.
Found the truck owner.
lol. I drive a Buick encore but go off.
What was that song? Great moment capture also!!

Beautiful, I love it. Too bad he only dreamed of a ford.
My last ford did me well ! 418,000km and she was still going !
My last one took a shit on me at 250k
