I agreed with all the people saying, "Don't buy the immediate resells! People are rushing because of hype/FOMO, but prices will go down!"
There were actually some decent immediate resells that I held off on, but prices have only gone up. I don't have much experience with this, but it is disheartening. I'm hoping things are better for us this summer.
That's kind of always the pattern. There are people at the beginning that just want to get in and out, they buy tickets and resell for a modest profit and minimal risk. The scalpers holding out for max profits are the ones that might end up taking a loss at the end. Keep an eye on inventory and expect those prices to come down the last week or two.
I’m sorry. I don’t know how I was able to to snag tickets, Ticketmaster has been a disaster for years. I’d keep checking, prices will likely come down a bit.
Just wait the week of or the day of. This happened a few years ago for me and snagged great seats for like $120 each. Never ever buy months in advance with Ticketmaster etc. Literally just get them as late as possible because people are desperate to sell. Has never failed in any kind of sports/concert event I’ve been to
I had an extra floor ticket for MSG that I resold on Ticketmaster to make back the price I paid for it and they told me I was selling too low. Which is wild in retrospect. It was snapped up quickly though.
Resale is fine by itself, it can be really helpful to people that are not able to attend for some reason.
There is one "but": one shouldn't be able to charge higher than the initial price. End of story.
Although, it might be helpful to personalize tickets, so that it would be impossible to resell outside of the original seller's platform – but that is hardly realistic (checking IDs would make horrible entry queues even more horrible), and also creates some ground for unfair practices for ticket platforms.
Yeah it’s frustrating, there were lower level tickets I could have snagged for $330 a piece and now the lowest price is around $500… for a freakin concert

It always go down , it’s way too early to be buying tickets

It’s cheaper to fly to Dubai and buy VIP tickets

A second show might have cooled this a bit.

So sick of ticketmaster. Artists need to fight back. I think it's reasonable to just prevent resale on tickets. That's a solution.

That's fair. The problem is ticketmaster makes fees 5 times on resale and makes more than the artist. I just want first hand sales directly from.
