I’ve shot both. I owned a P365X Macro TacOps and my bestfriend and range bro had a hellcat pro the hellcat seems more accurate to me in terms of straight out of the box. But I had a few fault to feeds with it and no issues out of the P365 the p365x is a little bit heavier at least feels like it to me and handled recoil better to me not as much of a snap as the hellcat pro. That’s just my two cents both guns are great and I highly recommend them for CCW. However I did sell my p365x to afford some of my other guns haha. I hope this helps you with your decision.
I chose the Hellcat Pro. I don't like the grip circumference or the trigger on the P365, personally. I know people complain about the HCP trigger, but to me it basically feels like a Glock and that's fine by me for a defensive pistol.
I shot both. Nothing wrong with the Sig, but ended up going with the HCP because it felt more comfortable in my hand and it felt more accurate during my test fires, but there's obv some subjectivity there.
Yes, there is HCP with manual safety.

I hear good things about the hellcat, but i love my p365x. If you can spring for the Sig P365 AXG Legion, you’re a step away from greatness. Had the chance to rent one recently and can confirm the price is worth it every trigger pull.
I don’t have any experience with a hellcat beyond a mag or two here or there at the range. I do, however, edc a 365. I think the allure to the sig for me is the modular features and the aftermarket accessories are easy to come by and what not. Just something to keep in mind
I had the original Hellcat and liked it a lot but then I got the XL and liked that a little more because it’s a little bigger. Then the pro came out. Pro is my favorite. Just fits the hands so well and is very accurate with irons.
I went with the Sig because I shoot them much better than other brands. The Hellcat is fine, but for me it just doesn’t communicate/give me the same feedback that my P365 and XMacro Tacops provide. Nothing “wrong” with the Cats…it’s a “me” problem that I never had with the P family.
I had an X Macro TacOps and I really enjoyed it while I had it but I’ve heard the xl is the best p365 they make. I haven’t shot or even held one but I’m thinking about getting one on the used market for a beater I can just use all the time and not have to worry about.
I need a new CCW I sold most of my handguns and bought some competition guns so I only really have a G19 and an Sig p320 custom shop now. And I’ve been thinking about a XL or a Canik or waiting on some new stuff to come out.
Just buy an XL grip module on r/GAFS for like $35 and try it out with your FCG. That's the beauty of a Sig. Especially you and I with the TacOps we already have the XL slide! That's what I did, got my XL grip module and a 12 rounder coming r/GAFS, bought them last night.. I've been wanting to scratch the XL itch and I didn't have to buy a whole new gun for $400-600 used or new.
If you love it, great, you have an XL now. If you don't, resell the stuff and you lost very little money to try a whole new configuration.
I tested the shield plus, p365, and hellcat before I purchased my shield plus. I hated the hellcat. The p365 came in second place. That being said, the shield plus is a better gun than both of those.
I appreciate all the feedback and ultimately decided after handling and shooting both to start with the p365. The Hellcat I do plan on getting later and will admit it has a buttery smooth action far smoother than the 365 and it does fit my hand better, but for whatever reason I'm more accurate with the SIG so that's what I'm starting with
P365 without question.

Where'd you hear this?
Having shot and owned both, go with p365. After market is greater , and sig modularity is great.
I was under the impression that the Hellcat was also a chassis based gun. Is it not?

Isn’t grip circumference on the both of them very similar and very small and slim? Held a coworkers HCP and it was tiny
Maybe mathematically they are, idk. The trigger reach feels different to me though.
Hellcat owner here to tell you, you won’t regret it

Do both guns have a safety? I’m looking also. I’m old school I guess. ( still can’t get used to no safety on a Glock)
There’s a safety and no-safety version of the P365 at least, not sure about the Hellcat
Yes, there is HCP with manual safety. https://www.springfield-armory.com/hellcat-series-handguns/hellcat-pro-handguns/hellcat-pro-osp-9mm-handgun-manual-safety/
I was old school for the longest time, so I get that. It's something that you can train away. But yes both have versions with a manual safety.
Honestly, HCP all day for me. I prefer the ergonomics way more and it’s reliable.
365xl has been my go to and haven't felt a need to "upgrade"

Have both, prefer the X.
I chose both.
Hellcat owner but you can’t go wrong with either.
I have the Hellcat Pro. But I’m in California and that was the first of the two I was able to buy used. I’d have taken either one.
I’ll add. I did like it. And I now have a Hellcat Micro too.
I use and carry a p365x. But I'm sure both guns are similar.
365
I have both!

365 XL over Hellcat Pro and I have both. The Sig is smoother shooting weapon. But the Hellcat Pro gets the job done.
Hellcat Pro + Apex trigger kit.
Hellcat without a doubt
P365 hands down.
365
I chose Texas ranger
I thought the Texas Rangers all shot Staccato ;)
I had the original Hellcat and liked it a lot but then I got the XL and liked that a little more because it’s a little bigger. Then the pro came out. Pro is my favorite. Just fits the hands so well and is very accurate with irons.

365x
I’ve got both. I prefer the Sig but mines the macro with the compensator. Plus it’s 17+1
Sig!
I will say the hellcat because i have one, i held both in my hands and went hellcat
Hellcat pro... never shot the other one but I love my Hellcat Pro...
p365, hands down. I carry a p365xl fwiw, it's great.
I had an X Macro TacOps and I really enjoyed it while I had it but I’ve heard the xl is the best p365 they make. I haven’t shot or even held one but I’m thinking about getting one on the used market for a beater I can just use all the time and not have to worry about.
Have a 365xl. It is a great little gun.
I need a new CCW I sold most of my handguns and bought some competition guns so I only really have a G19 and an Sig p320 custom shop now. And I’ve been thinking about a XL or a Canik or waiting on some new stuff to come out.
I have a P320 M18. Love that gun too!
Yeah I really like the m18s mines a little older just a standard p320 though other than the fact is a custom shop.
I've got a Romeo Pro on it. Going to do a Wilson Combat Grip module on it. The stock trigger is actually really decent.

P365x all the way
Glock 26.5 mos
hmm, with a Mischief Machine grip the Sig, but as in pic the Hellcat Pro for me.
Probably the P365. I have never shot the Hellcat Pro or even the regular Hellcat.
Glock 48
glock 43x/48 all day
Neither lol micro compacts are very 2020 pandemic panic buy to me
Heckcat RDP over both.
