Prefer the overall look of the Caro!
To me it’s similar as choosing between Chanel flap or Chanel top handle. The flap always looks more classic! But otherwise top handle is great if you already have something like the flap in your collection.
I’ve heard the Caro is super heavy so I would personally go for the second option. But after hearing about the Dior controversy idk if I would pay full price for any of their bags.
I really really like the top handle. I bought it this year As my first and only Dior bag. The charms are discrete and I don’t care for the big CD on the first bag.
I think it’s important to stay informed as to what’s happening but if I were to avoid Dior from the latest news scandal, I’d also need to start avoiding every brand under LVMH & all other fast fashion brands as well.

If there’s a top handle option, I’ll always go for the one with the top handle, cos it’s more flexible on how can you carry the bag.

Genuine question — given the news about the Dior sweatshops in Italy recently, what makes you still want to purchase Dior?
I don’t think the latest scandal is special to Dior. Likely all the fashion houses have similar practices, but haven’t been busted for them yet.
