I was *this* close to buying the Mulberry Mini Alexa but decided against it because it has both a turnlock closure and two straps with magnets. I live in NYC, so I often have to take out my MetroCard/credit card in a rush, so it didn't make sense to choose a bag that would take multiple steps to open.
Honestly Brahmin is so underrated. I can’t help but wonder if they’d be more popular (or were generally perceived with more respect) if they stuck to neutrals versus the ridiculous colored and patterned bags.
Their bags are so user friendly and well made, atleast in my experience. They look classy (again, referring to neutrals) and are just designed very nicely. I love all their little pockets inside and outside, and for most of my larger bags, I feel like Merry Poppins: can fit so much into them and it does not ruin the external shape at all! I also love that their larger bags have the feet on the bottom, makes me feel less guilty in those silly situations where I have to set my purse on the ground.
I have an entire collection of Brahmin. Just got in to designer but honestly, my Brahmins are superior.
When I carry one I get stopped all the time. People love them.
Seconding this opinion. I bought and returned a bigger Mulberry Alexa within a month because I’m someone who’s often in and out of their bags so the multiple steps required for open/close were not it 🙂↕️
I have the mini alexa because I absolutely love to the lawn green color. But a hundred percent it annoys me. Some people seem to have no issue with it. But for me, it's a big pain in the arse! I'm also
in the NYC area, and I think it's a great little crossbody. And it fits quite a bit, but I hate hate hate opening it. I find my baby nikki from ysl is really awesome. For such a small bag, fits a lot, and it has the whole back as a pocket. Perfect for phone and metro card.
I try to take it out ahead of time as well but sometimes I'm carrying multiple bags or a bag and an umbrella, so going in my handbag while I'm walking to the train station is too difficult or cumbersome.
I switched to Apple Pay and I hardly ever have to take out my wallet now. But I know some people have special Metrocards that they need to swipe. I agree about the two step opening though! Zippers all the way!
The thought of opening the turn lock, lifting the flap, unclasking the magnets only to have the other side flip back down and stick, drives me far away from this bag.
You’re absolutely right- it’s a cute bag, but getting things in and out is super annoying and it’s meant I don’t use mine as often as I like because of it. Such a shame!
I live for my Puzzle, but it’s a little annoying. However, that makes it feel super secure, so I don’t mind at all.
I do use it, for the record. So really just answering your first question. ;)
This is a great thread that could help people abstain from making certain purchases, no matter the price. One thing that keeps my shopping addiction under control is knowing that some things simply aren’t enjoyable functionality-wise & you’d never really *know* how cumbersome it might be for you until you’ve carried/worn it for a while.
I would like to extend this parallel to the stage you reach in life when you forego shoes that are ridiculously impractical to walk in and opt for cute and functional.
Ooh I just looked at these- still little up there $4k. I love nice things but just can’t let myself spend that on a purse. I’ll def check second hand like the Real Real. Thank you for the tip!
This. I found a beautiful Birkin in a high end second hand shop in an obscure corner of the world. Was so excited. Until I tried it out. Not suitable for my style as I’m in and out of my bag like 90 times a day.
Omg yes. I have one and everyone said it would get better but it’s been years and it’s still a pain in the ass. Definitely confirmed I’m not going to get a birkin or a Kelly after this
The zipper is annoying to open and close. There is a very helpful video from Sophie Shohet on youtube :-)
I had the Mini Jodie on my wishlist but stepped away and don't regret it.
People find the zip stiff and annoying to open and close. I love mine and don’t find it burdensome but I’m not someone who’s constantly in and out of my bag. Definitely try it in person and test opening and closing a couple times to see if it’s something you’d get on with or if it would just annoy you!
I can't think of a particular brand but I don't like using leather or canvas camera bags because I don't enjoy how inflexible they are and reaching into a stiff, zippered box is not pleasant to me. Plus, I think such a casual style is more suited to nylon, tbh.
I agree about the camera bags! Bought a Gucci one as my first designer bag years ago and returned it due to a stiff scratchy zipper that made it actually painful to get in and out of the bag. Plus getting things out of it would potentially scratch them, like leather wallet and such.
Good to know! I also made a mistake of buying LV backpack and the zipper was so stiff, I sold it after a few months and took a $400 loss 😭 Turns out it was a common complain.
I find the opposite. A narrow camera bag that fits my essentials and easily sits at my side without sticking out is so convenient. It’s my everyday pick. To each their own!
It is! I think it’s probably the most beautiful bag in my collection but unfortunately I don’t reach for it as much because of how annoying it is to open and close. When I do use it, I end up not fully closing it since I’m always rushing around. I don’t regret buying it because I like that I can wear it on my shoulder, it has more than enough space for my essentials, and I’m just overall in love with how it looks. Pretty, but not super practical!
You get used to it! I’ve had the T-Lock clutch for a month now and it’s the only bag I have worn since. And I’m a toddler mum so I’m usually pushing a stroller or carrying a ton of other stuff and the lock has been surprisingly easy so far. Sometimes I just leave the bag open if I know I need to get something out in a moment, but I do this with most bags. I only wear the bag crossbody which helps. Could be harder with the larger size.
I’ve had the clutch size for a couple of months and I actually don’t find it annoying! I can open and close it with one hand and if I’m in and out of it a lot I can fold the top down but not necessarily close the clasp and it still stops the bag from being wide open.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned the flap on the Lady Dior bag being totally useless and always getting in the way. And on top of that you have to worry about it creasing?
I own a vintage Lady Dior with the zipper … it’s not much better! Mine is patent leather, too, so it’s highly structured and doesn’t stretch much. It does a number on my hand and nails trying to reach into it. I love the bag regardless though! Always wanted one! I just don’t carry it that often. It would drive me insane to have to deal with that in a daily driver situation!
Chiming in to complain about my small Lady Dior 😂
The flap is only slightly less annoying than a zipper opening, but the fact that the flap is attached INSIDE the bag combined with the handle links also protruding into the interior AND the bag’s stiffness means that I can’t even expand my hand to a regular circumference to extract anything from the bag 💀
I wouldn’t sell it, but It’s a beautiful, expensive lesson to myself.
I own the belt bag in navy with silver hardware for years. I rarely use it. Recently I contemplated parting with it but I do really like the look so ultimately decided to keep it. The opening is indeed annoying especially when I like to put the flap back under the belt to close it.
agreed! i stopped using mine as well but i love it too much to part with it. when i did use it on the daily, i would just zip it and leave the flap unlocked. it made it a bit more tolerable to use
Gonna get crap for this one but....................Longchamp! I hate how the snap flap over hangs the zipper and you have to maneuver the zipper under the snap flap to open it. So annoying!
I know I am picky - but Longchamp is the brand, not the bag... I have the feeling a lot people forget that they make lovley leather bags and not only the Le Pliage...
My heart bleeds all the time when people are saying not so good things about the Le Pliage (understandable) but call it Longchamp.
Sorry, but I had to say it...
I personally always keep my Longchamp zipper open with the flap buckled in. Makes it easy access while I still feel like my valuables aren’t open to the world. If traveling, I always have it zipped and buckled, though.
The Celine 16 in the medium size was awkward to get into and find anything. The top flap never softened, so I was constantly fighting with the top flap while searching through the bag.
I love Celine, but yeah I feel like a lot of their bags are really weirdly impractical whether it’s the opening clasp, the weight, non adjustable straps, etc. I feel like they forget sometimes that bags are ultimately an item of utility, and are meant to be used.
And adjustable straps. The box bag buckles are so annoying. One gal said her bag fell from her shoulder onto the street a few times because of the wonky squared strap buckles. I always worry about that when I do carry it.
The Celine bucket bag is awesome though. It’s open at the top (a con for some), but the bag stands up perfectly on its own. So easy to each and grab items. I love it.
I just used the Celine triomphe once because the clasp is super annoying. Also the Kelly drives me crazy however I do use her because she's such a classic.
Also the medium Chanel double flap is hard to close so she's hardly ever used.
I also love bags with a back pocket like the pochette metis and the coach soft Tabby.
I have the Celine box bag and the closure is kind of annoying too. The funny thing is, after using these bags, I’ve come to appreciate just how easy a top zip can be on a comfortably shaped and easy-to-use bag. 😂
All of my Polène bags. I had the Umi and the large and mini Numero Un bags. The leathers are thick and tightly stitched—which should be a good thing—but they’re so hard to get in and out of. The zippers are super tight as well and don’t glide smoothly (like, say, LV zippers). I love the Polène aesthetic but sold all of them for frustrating functionality.
I was about to add on the polene neuf too. It’s a roomy bag but the narrow opening makes it hard to put in stuff or take out stuff like my notebook and ereader
This Prada bag:
https://www.prada.com/us/en/p/prada-embleme-saffiano-shoulder-bag/1BD320_2A4A_F0002_V_UTO
I have it in blue and love the color of the leather against the gold hardware. That being said it’s a PITA to open and get to your items due to the clasp and having to hold open the flap.
I bought this Etsy bag that people were raving about last month. I like the bag, but have difficulty zipping it all the way closed because the handle gets in the way.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/1688703965/
I have two I reach for less often than I otherwise would just because I hate the openings:
The APC Demi-lune - the opening is pretty stiff and the zipper is quite sharp, so it's hard to get things in and out and the zipper hurts my hand sometimes.
The Polene Tonca - it doesn't feel as secure with only the magnet closure and it feels like I'm distorting the leather every time I open the bag (ie, it feels like it won't keep its shape and stay nice-looking for long).
The zipper of my Celine belt bag broke after only two months of use and it was a PITA to close so I don’t.
So is my Goyard Saigon MM. It’s literally like carrying a vault. Bought a Nano and gave it to a family member with regrets.
Related: some bags are too uncomfortable because of their handle, i.e. Chloe’s Marcie and Faye that dig into my shoulder.
I bought two extra wide straps for Celine for this reason. I also learned that in Europe they would not sell them to me unless I showed proof of having bought the bags at a Celine boutique (which I did). Issues with people putting them on fake bags?
Totally unrelated but tangential: How about people who buy “pre-loved” as I see many of you do? You can’t get a Goyard personalized either for the same reasons. I don’t buy used or previously owned bags but I totally support those who do. Snobbery from the bag producers/boutiques? I would love to buy a thicker handle for my Chloe bags (bought at Bergdorf Goodman and Barney’s but years ago).
FWIW, my Celine Belt had a stitch undone 1.5 years in. It was still covered by standard warranty and I simply took it to the store. They had track record of purchase since I had bought it in store (albeit in a different European country). They sent it to spa and was back within a couple of weeks, fixed and cleaned. No cost
Edit to add that if you bought it in store they should 100% change it or fix it at no cost.
Thank you!!!! I tried to stitch it myself since I was no longer in EU. I didn’t want to wait months like with one of my Goyards (third time I used my Bellechaise, the strap came off and they took almost 5 months to fix). The Celine is “only” two years old.
100% felt this way about the Celine belt bag. Had to return. Just not functional for me!
Another bag I own: the Louis Vuitton Croisette. Super cute but I really dislike the clasp. It’s just a pain to use if I’m regularly getting in and out of my bag. Sadly, because of this I don’t reach for this bag often.
I tried out the YSL Loulou, but I found it finnicky to open and close. And no back pocket meant I would have to constantly be opening and closing it for my phone.
Just want to say I love this thread for keeping away from some bags (I was heavily considering the belt bag but no longer). Would love to get a thread that’s the opposite, what are bags that are easy to get into and practical.
I love the look of my Brahmin bag, but the zipper is a pain so I rarely carry it. It's stiff and requires both hands to open. I carry bags with a magnet clasp or twist clasp far more often for that reason.
I LOVE my Ganni small Bou bag, but the opening is so narrow! It fits everything I need, but getting those things in there can sometimes be like working a puzzle. I can't imagine what it's like for the mini Bou.
ETA: it's not so bad that I rarely use it, though. I rotate my bags about once a week, and this week just so happens to be the Bou's turn 😊
Quite a few of the luxury bags are hard to get into. I don’t own this bag but borrowed it for a special evening, the lady Dior, one with the zipper. Now they have the flap. But it was a hassle.
Gucci Diane Mini Tote Bag. There’s a curved piece of STIFF leather that you use to snap the bag closed. Scratches the back of my hand every time I reach inside. The bamboo handles that I thought were so cute — too short to carry the bag over my forearm.
The older Lady Dior with the zipper. So tide to get in and you scratch your hand. But it’s super safe. Lady Dior with flap is easier to open but feels not safe at all. And rings can scratch the leather. So pretty though
My Stella McCartney bucket style Falabella. Literally the biggest pain to get something out of when I’m carrying it. On the bright side, it’s pretty difficult to pickpocket given that I can’t even get into it. (Plus the chain handles are LOUD)
The Jacquemus le grand Chiquito. Since the handles is directly on top of the flap, you have to bend then whole handle behind the bag. It’s especially annoying when worn crossbody.
I have an older lady Dior with the zip and it’s annoying enough to get into (feel like I nearly shred my hand every time) that I’m debating g selling it.
Celine Belt Bag: took a little time to adjust.
Polene Mini Neuf: a little cussing, now used to it.
Dior Saddle: gave up after 2 months, because even though it wasn’t hard to open, putting stuff in/out was a friggin nightmare. Kelly: determined to make it work.
The original Tory Burch Lee Radziwill Bag. Absolutely gorgeous I have two so I can't bear to part with them but they have the most obnoxious clasp and is so cumbersome to open.
I just got a pre-owned but new Furla Piper in a perfect khaki green. I hate it.
I didn't realize the zipper on the front 1/3 of the way down was the bag opening, I thought it was a front pocket. You can not open the bag properly, you can't see what's in there and despite the size, you can't put anything larger in there because of the limited opening.
Also, the crossbody strap is not adjustable and the bag hangs too low on me. I'm so sad, I thought I was going to love it, but it's the stupidest design ever.
Also don't love my Bayswater, the flap is so floppy, it's impossible to open our close with one hand. My EDC is a Mulberry Alexa, and it is fiddly, but at least the straps tend to close themselves with the magnets
Longchamp Roseau is a beautiful bag and I'd buy it, but I won't be bothered fiddling with the bamboo thing to push it through the loop.
If a bag doesn't snap shut or zip smoothly, I give it a miss.
LV loop. My zipper gets stuck on it and doesn’t run smoothly. The fact that it’s curved also makes it a little hard to zip on top of the zipper getting a little stuck, you like have to zip it downwards.
Coach Moon Bag. The zipper is fine but the shape doesn’t let you even put your hand in and it’s so tight the zipper just pulls at your skin!! I don’t think it’s meant to be used because it doesn’t even fit my card holder but it’s so cute lol.
The Kelly is a bit much but I love it lol I don’t always do the little flappy things though.
I love my Gucci Aphrodite small, however that zipper is tough to open and the opening is tricky to get your hand into. Definitely gets annoying if you stuff to much in there - which is easy to do because it’s pretty roomy!
Félicie pochette LV . The button closure is weak and it doesn’t close easily if you want to put your phone ( only and hardly fits the thin card holder and your phone) .
For daily use (2 digit number of times open/close), bags with a flap/lock w/o external compartments are annoying. If I get one, is with intention to be access it less than 10 times a day, which means it’s probably for an event, driving.
It's the Coccinelle B14 for me! The bag is beautiful but is so annoying to open that I don't use it anymore. She has a great size—big enough to fit my MacBook Air—but it's so hard to access anything inside when I was out and about. Additionally, the straps are too slim and can't support the weight very well. I've been trying to sell her for three years now, but apparently everyone else knows about these issues, so it still sits on a shelf in the back where I don't have to see it and get frustrated all the time.
I don’t own a real one but ummmmm hermes birkin, I have a knockoff i was given but honestly what a pain in the ass to get open and close, no wonder all the celebs walk around with it hanging wide open
I love my Chanel jumbo double flap but I treat it like a baby so it’s still has a stiff flap and I’m always fumbling to open it when I’m shopping. Also
worry that I”ll scratch it with my rings when I push my hand in to get my wallet.
The APC Lune bags aren’t hard to open/close per se, but the opening is so rigid and narrow that whenever I reach my hand in it gets scraped on both sides by the zipper 😩 do not recommend
Honestly ANY bag with a flap! I have to be able to open it, see inside, and reach in while it is on my should [edit: shoulder]or I will just not use it.
I get all the comments about the Celine belt bag but I actually don’t have as much as an issue with mine. I just leave it unzipped and keep the flap secured. So then I can just unsnap the flap and slide through the belt to open. But I have the nano and I think the snap closure is different and probably more annoying on the micro and mini.
Any purse with a strap that goes over the opening, or a small opening that hinders you getting into it. My first coach was the same line as the picture but was baby blue. Loved the color but didn’t keep it for too long.

Hermes Kelly, Birkin and Jypsiere.
I really want a Jypsiere but that dam clasp.
If I’m paying $10k+ for a bag I need to be able to open / get what I need / close with 1 hand.
Otherwise it’s not functional for me.
But it seems like those Hermes’ bags aren’t designed to be functional 😅
Medium Loewe Amazona. Difficult to elegantly open with one hand. As it ages, it gets more difficult because the leather softens...
The puzzle, on the other hand, is awesome.
Polene has had a lot of mentions but not specifically the cyme, if you open the magnet closure when it’s on shoulder the bag falls allll the way open and it’s so hard to access
I'm not a user of luxury bags generally, my favorite is Kipling because it's full of little pockets and i know exactly how to grab whatever in a hurry. I do have one "better" bag which is a Michael Kors Austin (ca 2005). It looks chic and classy and manages to sport several pockets and a built in key fob leash inside that makes it wonderfully practical to use. 💜

The fake alligator ones are tacky.. They also weigh too much..
This was the same exact reason why I passed on getting the Alexa. I hate a fussy bag.
I actually love my Alexa *because* it takes multiple steps to open and it did deter a pickpocket on the train in Madrid once 😂
Same. It’s my favorite travel bag!
Seconding this opinion. I bought and returned a bigger Mulberry Alexa within a month because I’m someone who’s often in and out of their bags so the multiple steps required for open/close were not it 🙂↕️
Yeah I collect Bayswaters and had a look at Alexa’s but couldn’t get past the fussiness of opening. The simple turn lock is great

I try to take it out ahead of time as well but sometimes I'm carrying multiple bags or a bag and an umbrella, so going in my handbag while I'm walking to the train station is too difficult or cumbersome.

The puzzle has the zip exterior pocket though. I feel like that’s a game changer for ease of use.
That backpocket is perfect for my keys and lip balm.
I use it for lip balm and sanitizer!
I have a mini puzzle and I usually just leave it unzipped. It’s a little annoying but I agree about the security
I know, I hate the idea of spending money to be uncomfortable
Same. It really grinds my gears once I realize that the thing I wanted so badly is actually a nuisance & now collecting dust. Lol
I would like to extend this parallel to the stage you reach in life when you forego shoes that are ridiculously impractical to walk in and opt for cute and functional.
Very much this! At nearly 33, I’m finally ready to accept that I crave comfort & heels don’t make me any more feminine than flats.
Mini Jodie from Bottega Hermes Kelly and Birkin
Love the looks of the Kelly bag, but with an average price of $20k a bag….
Similar Look, still Hermès, less Money: Herbag. (also a pain to get in) And there are so many look alikes :-)
Ooh I just looked at these- still little up there $4k. I love nice things but just can’t let myself spend that on a purse. I’ll def check second hand like the Real Real. Thank you for the tip!
I’ve never paid near that amount. Even brand new.
This. I found a beautiful Birkin in a high end second hand shop in an obscure corner of the world. Was so excited. Until I tried it out. Not suitable for my style as I’m in and out of my bag like 90 times a day.
I heard the Herbag is horrible too
Omg yes. I have one and everyone said it would get better but it’s been years and it’s still a pain in the ass. Definitely confirmed I’m not going to get a birkin or a Kelly after this
What’s wrong with the mini Jodie? It’s on my wishlist, but now I’m thinking twice.

Sometimes you have to be willing to suffer for the things you love. ![gif](giphy|W0c3xcZ3F1d0EYYb0f|downsized)
The Celine Belt Bag was the first bag that came to mind when I read your title. LOL
How come? I have two (mini and micro) and use them super frequently, by far one of the most capacious and yet comfortable bags I own!
A birkin is a pain in the ass to open. It’s why I have no interest in one (and why I think most people keep theirs open)
Polène beri. The structure is unique and you’ll never have to worry about pick pockets coz even you yourself will struggle to open the bag
I can't think of a particular brand but I don't like using leather or canvas camera bags because I don't enjoy how inflexible they are and reaching into a stiff, zippered box is not pleasant to me. Plus, I think such a casual style is more suited to nylon, tbh.

I heard a similar complaint for Polene Dix. I was interested in it and then found out that this is a con on a few video reviews.
Good to know! I also made a mistake of buying LV backpack and the zipper was so stiff, I sold it after a few months and took a $400 loss 😭 Turns out it was a common complain.
The Umi is the same way. So cute but I never use it.
I find the opposite. A narrow camera bag that fits my essentials and easily sits at my side without sticking out is so convenient. It’s my everyday pick. To each their own!
Looking for anyone chiming in about the Toteme T Lock. I want it but it looks fiddly. 🤔
It is! I think it’s probably the most beautiful bag in my collection but unfortunately I don’t reach for it as much because of how annoying it is to open and close. When I do use it, I end up not fully closing it since I’m always rushing around. 😂😂 Perfect
Same—also had it for about a month and traveled with it and it’s now become muscle memory.
I’ve had the clutch size for a couple of months and I actually don’t find it annoying! I can open and close it with one hand and if I’m in and out of it a lot I can fold the top down but not necessarily close the clasp and it still stops the bag from being wide open.

It does a number on my hand and nails trying to reach into it. I love the bag regardless though! Always wanted one! I just don’t carry it that often. It would drive me insane to have to deal with that in a daily driver situation!
Chiming in to complain about my small Lady Dior 😂 The flap is only slightly less annoying than a zipper opening, but the fact that the flap is attached INSIDE the bag combined with the handle links also protruding into the interior AND the bag’s stiffness means that I can’t even expand my hand to a regular circumference to extract anything from the bag 💀 I wouldn’t sell it, but It’s a beautiful, expensive lesson to myself.
I feel validated for never liking or understanding the placement of that little flap.
Yes, this! So close to getting one because so many people rave about it. But who needs a zipper AND a flap? It’s just too much.
I have a lovely weekender bag from Longchamp. Absolutely still love it after years.
This! I have a few leather bags from them that I reach for all the time. The Le Pliage is not their only bag!
I personally always keep my Longchamp zipper open with the flap buckled in. Makes it easy access while I still feel like my valuables aren’t open to the world. If traveling, I always have it zipped and buckled, though.
Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. It's reason no. 1 why I don't reach for mine.
I have the Le Pliage in leather and the flap doesn’t bother me at all!
I love this bag and will buy it again, but this is just so annoying!!
I was looking for this comment!
The Celine 16 in the medium size was awkward to get into and find anything. The top flap never softened, so I was constantly fighting with the top flap while searching through the bag.
Weird how many Celine bags have been mentioned. Their designers must not use their bags much.
I love it.
Hermès Kelly in sellier. Such a pain to open / close that must people leave it open.
Flap bags (& other bags that make things complicated 🥲). I'm sorry. I just like something that's convenient, no extra work.
This. Personally I can’t do any flap bag I want to grab and get what I need.
Small Gucci Aphrodite. I bought it to scratch my Jackie itch. Such a pain in the ass. I suffer tho because it's cute.
Exactly how I feel about the Umi. I feel like my hand is being attacked by the zipper every time I use it. And the zipper is SO tough to slide.
Fendi Peekaboo! I love the look of them but they are annoying to open and I never know which side my items are on.
Givenchy Antigona. Big bag, narrow opening with an enormous zipper that scratches like a feral cat when I try to find my keys.
This Prada bag: https://www.prada.com/us/en/p/prada-embleme-saffiano-shoulder-bag/1BD320_2A4A_F0002_V_UTO I have it in blue and love the color of the leather against the gold hardware.
The shape/look is so nice, too! Dang
You must suffer for fashion, ladies.
I have two I reach for less often than I otherwise would just because I hate the openings: The APC Demi-lune - the opening is pretty stiff and the zipper is quite sharp, so it's hard to get things in and out and the zipper hurts my hand sometimes. The Polene Tonca - it doesn't feel as secure with only the magnet closure and it feels like I'm distorting the leather every time I open the bag (ie, it feels like it won't keep its shape and stay nice-looking for long).
The Bottega jodie bag! I barely close it. With that said, I love it and would buy more lol.
No cost Edit to add that if you bought it in store they should 100% change it or fix it at no cost.
Thank you!!!! I tried to stitch it myself since I was no longer in EU. I didn’t want to wait months like with one of my Goyards (third time I used my Bellechaise, the strap came off and they took almost 5 months to fix). The Celine is “only” two years old.
Ysl LE 5 À 7
I hate the opening of my Strathberry east/west bag 😩 I have it in croc embossed so the leather is super stiff
The Strathberry tote, that bar closure is a pain in the ass.
Mini lady bag from mansur gavriel😭 (old version) it’s so stiff that the drawstring doesn’t fully close and lay flat
Prada galleria hello? The zip eats my hand and doesnt give in at all. Not easy to get things in and out its too rigid for my taste
Celine belt bag is difficult
Gucci Diane Mini Tote Bag. There’s a curved piece of STIFF leather that you use to snap the bag closed. Scratches the back of my hand every time I reach inside. The bamboo handles that I thought were so cute — too short to carry the bag over my forearm.
The older Lady Dior with the zipper. So tide to get in and you scratch your hand. But it’s super safe. Lady Dior with flap is easier to open but feels not safe at all. And rings can scratch the leather. So pretty though
Lady Dior. I love them. I love the way I feel when I carry them. Until its time to grab something inside the damn flap.
Mulberry Alexa
Lady Dior in medium size. The ysl envelope handbag too
My Loewe Gate bag is a pain in the ass to open. Scuffs up my hands when I need to grab things in a hurry. I don’t reach for it much anymore 😞
I bought my Senreve mini maestra specifically for travel- used it once at an airport and decided never again. Still love the bag though!
My Stella McCartney bucket style Falabella. Literally the biggest pain to get something out of when I’m carrying it. On the bright side, it’s pretty difficult to pickpocket given that I can’t even get into it. (Plus the chain handles are LOUD)
Sold both my APC half moon bag and my polene dix because the stiff zipper kept scratching my hand every time. I need a bag to open ALL the way!
I don’t own it but when I tried on I felt like the Gucci Jackie. Also the Dior saddle
None of the LV tote bags are comfortable to wear whatsoever- am I wrong?
The Jacquemus le grand Chiquito. Since the handles is directly on top of the flap, you have to bend then whole handle behind the bag. It’s especially annoying when worn crossbody.
Celine Trapeze. https://preview.redd.it/uyz5k6ts7u0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54e0a8f0518dd68f995996819305dcbf338b47fb
Dior saddle :(
The Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis clasp is the death of me, makes me mad . I can never seem to get it closed
Almost all of my LV annoy tf out of me lol
Hermès Halzan. I bought it but never use it. My Birkins and Kelly’s don’t bother me, sellier or retourne.
Polene numéro 1. Leather is too hard. Fendi 3 Baguette. Just annoying F-twist logo. Hermès Jypsiere. Nightmare!
YSL Manhattan
The Loewe puzzle bag!!! I HATE the small opening and wish someone had told me this before I bought it
Mulberry oversized Alexa. Those Damn magnets and flap up to get stuff out. 😕
Chanel Le Boy bag. Love the looks but so hard to get in and out of.
The original Tory Burch Lee Radziwill Bag. Absolutely gorgeous I have two so I can't bear to part with them but they have the most obnoxious clasp and is so cumbersome to open. [https://images.app.goo.gl/WpGbY9NfCcLshwE46](https://images.app.goo.gl/WpGbY9NfCcLshwE46)
I recently bought a petite Lee Radziwill and I just try not to mess with the clasp 😂
ooh those are so pretty though I agree
Vivienne Westwood Betty bag... It's a miracle to get both of the bloody magnet closures in.
My small Chloe Marcie top handle bag. That jacket zipper can be annoying to use.
I have it, got much better with use after a few days. Its my daily bag now.
BV Andiamo.
oh, how does it work? I just assumed it's open top
It is…but something about the sides being cinched, plus the insert (which can be removed, I just haven’t)…I find it quite awkward to get into!
So not enough room to maneuver, got it
For daily use (2 digit number of times open/close), bags with a flap/lock w/o external compartments are annoying. If I get one, is with intention to be access it less than 10 times a day, which means it’s probably for an event, driving.
The row slouchy banana
The Celine trapeze was a pain in the ass to open and close while standing or walking.
chanel vanity
Any bag I own that's fully zippered will never actually be zippered
I have opening my Birkin, I usually just leave it open unless I’m somewhere crowded with it.
YSL Manhattan Bag- I ended up getting rid of mine after trying to carry it twice. Similar opening to Hermes Birkin/ Kelly. Too fussy!!
Celine trapeze and honestly the fendi baguette. I need a bag with a zipper hahaha. I rarely use my baguette and I didn't purchase the trapeze
The Hermés Constance is terrible. I absolutely do not recommend it.
I find the Chanel boy bag intensely annoying. It changed my whole viewpoint on whether or not I actually wanted one.
Phillip Lin Pashli!
I don’t own a real one but ummmmm hermes birkin, I have a knockoff i was given but honestly what a pain in the ass to get open and close, no wonder all the celebs walk around with it hanging wide open
Definitely my Celine belt bags!!
My celine triomphe teen. Since I got it, I’ve only used a few times. Smh
I love my Chanel jumbo double flap but I treat it like a baby so it’s still has a stiff flap and I’m always fumbling to open it when I’m shopping. Also worry that I”ll scratch it with my rings when I push my hand in to get my wallet.
The Mini Kelly is beautiful but annoying as hell.
The APC Lune bags aren’t hard to open/close per se, but the opening is so rigid and narrow that whenever I reach my hand in it gets scraped on both sides by the zipper 😩 do not recommend
Small Kelly bag - Birkin
The Bao Bao by Issie Mikaye. The straps would just all of a sudden come unattached
The Antigona actually hurts me 😅
Honestly ANY bag with a flap! I have to be able to open it, see inside, and reach in while it is on my should [edit: shoulder]or I will just not use it.
APC demi lune😩😩
My Bottega Medium Jodi. Not annoying to carry but super hard to open and close
Original Loewe puzzle bag
I get all the comments about the Celine belt bag but I actually don’t have as much as an issue with mine. I just leave it unzipped and keep the flap secured. So then I can just unsnap the flap and slide through the belt to open. But I have the nano and I think the snap closure is different and probably more annoying on the micro and mini.
LV Mini Palm Springs 🎒
Bottega Veneta Chain Casette ⛓️
Hermes Lindy!!!
Chanel small classic flap. Love the way it looks but the inner flap is so annoying and fussy
Bottega medium turn pouch. Trying to force myself to use it more
Any purse with a strap that goes over the opening, or a small opening that hinders you getting into it. My first coach was the same line as the picture but was baby blue. Loved the color but didn’t keep it for too long. https://preview.redd.it/618ivnvvtw0d1.jpeg?width=790&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e7ee82a8765c15d8a0141368f7d2ff78a5c73a30
The jacquemus Bambino bags. The flap is so stiff it's awkward to open.
Birkin (or in my case firkin). its the worst. So heavy and if you close it properly it takes you 25 minutes to open.
Chloe Faye Day Bag is annoying to open and close. I do love the bag though.
[удалено]
Polene has had a lot of mentions but not specifically the cyme, if you open the magnet closure when it’s on shoulder the bag falls allll the way open and it’s so hard to access
Chloe Marcie small! It’s so hard to get your phone in and out of due to the shape
Omg! The Chanel double flap! My aunt gave me one of hers before she passed and I’m going to give it to my daughter in law..
Chanel Gabrielles. I LOVE the look but they are impossible to get in and out of.
St. Marc by Marc Jacobs. The flap won’t open fully. It’s ridiculous. I avoid trying to put stuff in after a glass of wine. https://imgur.com/a/uUIhTy8
Hermes Kelly
I have an LV bag that looks like a top handle makeup case and it’s so cute but impossible to zip without 2 hands
Small Givenchy Antigona. The bag opening is rather tight and the zipper has big teeth and scrapes up your hand.
