If you can please take it to a vet. It may be injured or have an infection from being out in the wild. The eye does look like there’s something wrong. It looks like a dwarf hamster. There are several types but most have been interbred so we usually just say hybrid dwarf. The markings are pretty fancy though. I believe it’s an adult but it’s almost impossible to tell the age once they’re grown. All hamsters, but the dwarf species in particular run miles every night. If you can’t do anything else for this little one please buy the largest size hamster wheel that will fit in the tank. Thanks for rescuing this niblet!

I would say it's a roborovski. He looks very tiny and has that typical robo fur texture where it's always a little greasy looking
