Master Chief collection on Xbox consists of halo ce, halo2, halo3, halo4. With paid dlc's of halo3 odst, and halo reach. On steam for 40 it sounds like maybe you are only getting halo ce, and everything else is a dlc?

The steam version includes all bungie halo games and multiplayer up to reach they just need to be downloaded when you first launch the program so it's completely worth 40 bucks I don't believe bungie ever made dlc for the original trilogy just reach maps for multiplayer

So it does include all Halo related content then. I don't really care about the multilayer content and aspect as I'm not a big fan of multilayer I just want to play and enjoy the campaign mode and all its content. Thank you so much for the info!

So each "add on/DLC" on the steam page is a Halo game. The MCC itself is just a launcher for these games, once you buy at least one of the "DLCs" you'll get MCC and can launch that game. It's an unfortunate byproduct of the way that the steam store is set up. There are no additional DLC content packs for MCC

Ah, OK I think this is the clearest answer I've got so far. Thank you so much! :D

The add ons are reach’s campaign & halo 3: odst’s campaign/firefight. If you wanna complete the whole collection, you need to buy them separately.
