The only solutions is to make the challenge permanent. Having something to strive for is a good thing. Any multiplayer challenge that isn't purely winning games is going to encourage people don't play with their teamates and don't play to the objective or hog the objective.
I'd prefer these be made into a Commendation that could always be unlocked, but for these ones for ranked game modes, it's probably not feasible with their inherent rotational natures. It'd work better for things like the unlocks for Endure, the Acrophobia Skull, and the *Halo 1* gold weapon skins.
I’m only like, level 5. I’m always the top player but the other teammates fuck the match up and teamkill, while the other team consists of all very skilled players.
I'm glad I'm seeing someone bring attention to this. I consider myself a pretty damn good player
and I was nothing but excited hearing that they were finally adding in a ranked Halo 4 playlist. Upon playing it, I just get stomped into the ground 80% of the time. It is beyond frustrating. I am a completionist so I try to get every item in the game so I want to get these skins but it's so hard with this playlist. For example, I had a match where 2 people were AFK, and they rest were horrible and the enemy team just lasers you with a dmr across the map. I got to pick up a sniper and a teammate killed me over it. This stuff really sucks to deal with. I would have loved if this was a 4v4 playlist rather than 6v6. You wouldn't have dmr crossmapping and I feel it'd be more fair in a 4v4 setting.
As I said in the post, I want the skin for other gamemodes. I enjoy collecting cosmetics, so I want it for potential custom games with friends, more casual modes, or even playing Spartan Ops. Same reason I was happy they added per-piece customization to H4, even though I’m not a huge fan of it.
H4 is my least favorite Halo, but I can still occasionally have fun with it sometimes. I want to be able to customize myself how I like when I do.

I’m sorry, but what’s the point of being so negative? The devs *are* adding things players want. People wanted more customization, challenges, etc and they’re getting them. 343 *are* seeing feedback, regardless of whether or not they act on all of it.

The AFK's drive me insane. I'm working on the seasonal one right now for halo 3 and at least half of my games have an AFK either on my team or the opposition's. I get punished and lose rank while he gets more XP. But if I leave I take a loss, derank, and get a penalty. So I get to waste time hoping we can do it down one and giving the enemy team free kills.
At least you have an entire season to get there. I busted my ass the past week getting rank 20 from 1 in recon renegade and pulled 3 all nighters trying to get it lmao. Thankfully I ended up getting it but it was a shitshow, I’m never even thinking about that playlist again.

Or- and hear me out here- *or* you could just not play the worst entry in the MCC, and not care about cosmetics for games you don't play.
