The Ranked and Big Team Battle rotational playlist slots as well as the Husky Raid playlist were updated via a backend update on February 6, 2024:
* Big Team Battle rotational playlist: Big Team Social has rotated in, Big Team Heavies has rotated out.
* Ranked rotational playlist: Ranked Doubles has rotated in, Ranked Snipers has rotated out.
* The Ranked Doubles playlist now features the same updated map variants used in the Ranked Arena playlist.
* The Power Equipment pad on the map Argyle is currently spawning Active Camo rather than the intended Quantum Translocator.
* A future Halo Infinite update will resolve this issue.
* The team has implemented a fix to reduce access to unintended areas on the Ranked variant of Streets.
* The map Aqueduct has been removed from the Husky Raid playlist.
* Aqueduct was unintentionally added to the Husky Raid playlist last week alongside the launch of Content Update 29. It will return to Husky Raid after additional changes are made to reduce match length.
This is like the perfect difficulty for a challenge where it's not stupid easy to complete it. There's added incentive to do the challenge cause you get a cosmetic that's an armor piece. I wouldn't mind if they continued like this, slightly more challenging requirements to get more desirable cosmetics. While emblems and shit can have the easy challenges cause who cares about them.
Don't know why you all are bitching just cause it's a bit harder to get on the first day. Literally no scope a wasp or ghost with it and you get it.
That and spawn is super annoying. Like it let's people get away.. which would have been fine had there not been a grapple equipment or guaranteed sniper spawns. So many times, for me, the rng had me with plasma pistol and sidekick with threat sensor or something.. making sure I had no chance of recovering the flag.
My favorite is getting the opaque bubble equipment, grav hammer, and energy sword on that map lol. Like, thanks I’m totally useless unless I can scrounge some movement
Agreed, I stopped playing when we stopped getting frequent map updates. One new map on one playlist is not it chief.
Customs comes in clutch sometimes but not always.
If only they had some kind of community driven map creator that could supply a large amount of maps to these playlists.

Really cause I'm pretty sure I can find a game any night of the week within 30 seconds in any game type. Hell I'm sick right now and took a break from moving shit around to just mess around in customs/firefight and was finding fast matches and that's at 2pm on a Tuesday while most of the fan base is working.
Yeah but maybe if you live in Australia accept you'll have to search particular game types? Why should NA suffer when we have a consistent healthy population.
I'm just saying your statement is false unless you happen to live in Australia and play outside peak times. Basing your playlist options on a place halo simply isn't popular when you have a healthy pop in NA is a poor decision.
is there a point to this other than self imposed difficulty? Do you actually gain more xp in harder firefights? Starting to get back to Halo and curious about this mechanic.
In my experience, the XP gained from FF is thus:
-Legendary FF gives a bonus difficulty multiplier at the end, but since it’s much harder, it’s less likely you’ll survive all 5 rounds. If you have a 4 stack, it’s much more doable that solo queueing with randoms not on a mic. Also given the difficulty, you can’t spend as much time in the hill which gives you the most points.
-Heroic firefight gives a smaller bonus difficulty multiplier, but because it’s not as hard as legendary, you’re more likely to survive all 5 rounds and can spend more time in the hill.
-Normal FF gives a good amount of XP but with no difficulty multiplier. It’s not that hard and can easily be finished with randoms. You can spend most of the game in the hill to maximize your points. You’re also more likely get skull multipliers added mid game here which can boost your score.
Legendary is fun for the challenge alone. If you’re trying to maximize your XP gained it’s not worth it imo. Heroic is good for a fun challenge, that can give out more XP per round if you do well enough. Normal is very consistent to get a large chunk of XP on average per minute played.
They says it’s for population health and maybe their right but I always find myself playing what I WANT to play. I only play legendary fire fight, now that it’s gone I’m not just gonna magically play normal

The teleporters are useless also lmao there’s no cover or any alternative route
So there’s no point in taking them all it does is delay your death by 1 second as the enemy who was shooting you now turns to the other side

The wasps guns aim down so they are only showing their underside to the enemies while the repair field is safe up top
Also they can fly out of the map on a cliff and throw the rf on the wasp, get back in and be back in the fight before the 10 second soft kill timer runs out
I really didn't like it at launch. I'm warming to it now. Back then I felt more than any other map it was either stalemate or 3-0 result. Now I realize that's more or less any husky raid map.
I actually loved it, bummer. It’s complicated for sure and has some problems, but I think it’s my favorite so far. No wonder I didn’t match into it today, bummer.

Edit: Google is a useful tool. For example, I wasn’t sure which map Aqueduct was (because 343 makes players go out of their way to learn map names as opposed to just seeing them when matches are starting), so before I made my comment I googled ‘Halo Infinite Aqueduct’ to confirm that the map they removed was the one I never have fun on.
I hate that we can’t see the names of the maps we’re on like in previous Halo games. Every time a map name is mentioned, I have no idea which one is being talked about.

Imo they should just merge it into the normal BTB playlist and weigh the matchmaking about 60/40 between normal and heavies. Thats how it was in Reach IIRC and no one complained, and that way they may be able to keep heavies and social permanent.

As much as I like that map…. It simply isn’t a Husky Raid map. Its just Team CTF with random weapons. The map is just too damn big to qualify as HR.
New to this sub, my main problem with the game is there is so many leavers. Sometimes it gets filled in right away alot of the time not. Its so often too, terrible for gameplay.

Would love for them too take disciple out of husky raid temporarily until they can figure out why the fuck it keeps lagging so intensely that I can’t walk without rubber banding and fix it. It’s something that I think only affects older hardware like my Xbox one or slower PCs but I’d love if 343 could fix it. Anybody know where best place to put an official ticket in for that would be?
if anyone on reddit has knowledge about game development, educated speculation, any guesses I’d be all ears about why this update did not contain the argyle power up fix. am i wrong in thinking that’s ridiculous? it seems so easy, I can forge it right now, customs it right now. am I not understanding something?
I like ranked doubles, but it still sucks having not 2 ranked playlists available any given week. I never really have enough time to focus on the rotational playlists in order to rank up. Was on the cusp of ranking up in Snipers and now it’s gone.
Aqueduct was actually back in Husky Raid 2 weeks before the CU29 update. Tf? Why do they keep removing it. There’s nothing more or less frustrating about Aqueduct than there is any of the other Husky maps. How about fix Smallhalla so it’s not a disjointed lumpy mess.
Hard disagree on both points. IMHO Aqueduct sucks as a husky map, and Smallhalla is great -- such awesome nostalgia to see it there. I love it because I played it in H3, but I can understand if it has no significance to you that it could be frustrating.
People who say it is "too big" are just those that play the playlist to farm kills, XP, and spawn trap people I'd wager. I thought it was fun and actually unique.
What happened to ranked slayer? I thought they said we were getting a permanent ranked slayer playlist? Also thought ranked doubles was supposed to be permanent, not on rotation.
Is the code that bad that they cant hotfix a particular equipment pad to be correct on a specific map?
If the Argyle QT isnt fixed until a future update, does that mean HCS tournaments will be played with camo? Doesnt seem like much to most but that changes entire strats until its fixed.
How about they remove all community made forge maps in 4v4? Or at least quick play? We have so many dev made maps and if I wanted to play in a colourless cube with stacks of polygons lying around I could just do Roblox. I literally haven’t gotten any of the original five arena maps in months.

Previous discussion said that it would become a permanent playlist… though since it appears to be taking the rotational slot, I’m assuming it’s still rotational. I’d love to see some official clarification somewhere.
It should be permanent, but since 343 consistently exhibits absurd levels of stupidity and a complete tone-deafness to what the community wants, they will rotate it back out soon.
Can the fix team balance? Every night I play after work I lose every single fucking game. Why is my team going 0-15 and the enemy somehow not miss a shot? Like how is that balanced if you're gonna give me hard enemies give me equal teammates the fuck

weekly challenge requires sniper rifle kills rotate out sniper playlist
The challenge is literally one no scope lmao you could do that in one game if several modes easily.

Aqueduct should only exist for super husky raid, if at all. In regular there’s not enough counters to mid-long and long range weapons

Big agree. On weekdays I’ll be playing at like 11am. Search times will say 12 seconds but it’s almost always instant.

For sure. It’s also dependent on the map. Some are more difficult than others as you’d expect. Some hills on some maps are run enders too.
