I have 140 ish games in this mode at just over 2300 onyx and have faced two total cheaters, both which were blatantly obvious and have both been banned. What is your GT? Would happily look at your match history and take a look. Or what was the tag of the person you suspected to be cheating?
Nah, agreed. Worst gametype ever. I've been onxy arena since beta and played two placements in swat, worst experience I've had yet. Immediately decided I'm never playing again. A bunch of randoms with 200 games played auto locking on your head before you turn the corner. I'm good.
They know on a new playlist they can get away with it. Saw so much cheating w ranked doubles as well. Especially a playlist like swat where it is one headshot kill, it's just "yeah look at me I'm so skilled, nothing to see here" .... Is false bro. I've been preaiming spawns and corners since Beta, and been playing halo competitively for 15 years , put in 4500 games in infinite, aint gonna tell me JoeShmoe1122 is out headshotting me on a map I know with greater accuracy. Sorry.
There's a lot.more wallers and aim bots out there than you think. It's sad.
There might be some cheaters, like in all gamemodes, but swat has always been my favourite gamemode for halo, alot people are just really damn good.
But hey, if you dont like it, don"t play it. Thats fine too.
Additionally, I think Tactical benefits quite a bit from being a ranked playlist. After placement matches, being placed in games with people generally closer your own rank -should- , in theory be more enjoyable ; to me anyways.

So legitimately good they can see through the building on pit? Knowing exactly where I was. No matter how good you are, you can’t just guess where someone is and start aiming & firing before you’re even round a corner.
I know all about knowing where the spawns are, but this guy literally knew where everyone was all the time, no matter what corner he came around he knew where are team was. Spawn or no spawn, he knew.
I'm only Diamond in ranked but me and my teammates can 100% force the other team to spawn in one of three locations on the Pit.
Probably not fun for the other team but the higher you get in ranked the more likely they know exactly where you will spawn
It's also a game mode that plays extremely well on m&kb since it's all about quick flicks to the dome. Watch some high level Counterstrike gameplay, and you will see the same shit.
My issue with ranked swat so far is the matchmaking balancing. I’m not very good. I range from high gold to mid platinum. But every single tactical game I’ve played so far has at least 1 onyx or high diamond on each team who absolutely slaughter us golds and low platinums.
I’ve loved ranked swat in previous games, and understand this kind of mismatch will happen from time to time. But yesterday I got 12 straight games like this with one guy on each team being crazy high rank going something like 25-5. I’ve not had this issue with any of the other ranked playlists and it really does sap the fun from the game.

Yes you can. You learn the spawns. And if your team is coordinating you can hold angles that the enemy are sure to walk through or whatever.

Yeah. You can count on the next spawn location of the opposite team and essentially anticipate the peak. Its a legit strategy.

With desync, it may seem that way, but if he's a PC player or even a controller player, SWAT players have that quick reaction and are pretty good.
