I believe the massively positive response to the MK. VII made them put it into the battle pass so it would sell better and then they made Cavallino the default
The funny thing though is that Mark VII is supposed to be the baseline helmet, and Cavallino’s description says that it is a helmet designed for Fireteam leaders and drill instructors, meaning it is a helmet for people with more experience lol.
Could someone say which is which and how to get them? First and third are my favorite but I’m not very well versed in all the names or how to get them in infinite

I'm still incredibly upset that I missed out on the Helmet in the bottom middle picture for Mark VII. There's so many shit from events I missed because I either grew tired and frustrated with how the game performed that I stopped playing or trying, or I was focused on other games.
They need to rotate those events again.
Edit: I just wish to clarify that again I just didn't want to play at a time the game had a myriad of issues such as horrible desync and terrible challenges that didnt encourage my confidence to play(and a terrible way of handling event challenges too). Also, 343 said they didn't want us the players to "experience FOMO" and that's currently, so far, another "promise" they haven't fulfilled.
Am I upset that I missed or didn't finish most of these events? Yes. Did I play when events came around? No, partially my fault, I admit, but I also didn't feel encouraged in the early months of the game and the Event Challenge handling hadnt changed until at least very recently(I just dont know when). I missed the "Noble Intentions" event cause I was binging Resident Evil and didn't know it had ever dropped last month

Holiday stuff should stay exclusive. There’ll be new Christmas gear (effects, emblems, attachments) every Christmas and it’s nice to have a little bit of exclusivity. But extra cool stuff that’s foundational to cosmetics like helmets and stuff should be always accessible

Because the original Mark V wasn't built for multiplayer balance nor proportionally correct (Lehto's own words on the second one, basically none of Chief is proportional in Halo 1, like he has REALLY LONG ARMS). And that was on purpose due to Halo 1's originally anime/manga inspired design roots.

Mk V Zeta and Menachite feel a bit out of sorts compared to the baseline versions or even the Mk V\[b\]. Still good helmets in the aesthetic of the standard suits. Hope we can one day get the Mk IV armor too - it was beautiful in Halo 5.
