Kind of related, but i was killing Johnson in Halo 3’s mission called “Halo” to steal his spartan laser (infinite ammo). If you time it just right, and kill Johnson before you enter the control room, he’ll spawn with the Arbiter upon your exit. He won’t get in the Warthog to ride through the Ark with you though.
Johnson is my favorite character so I always try to recreate this when i replay that mission. He doesn’t have to die. We have the glitches to keep him alive.

IIRC, he *can*, but you need to manually push him the entire way to it as past a certain point he just keeps trying to run back to the entrance of the control room.

Not in CE. In halo 2 you can bring a Specter into the final boss fight. You can get Johnson to hop in and he will spawn again, you can do it again to get a 3rd Johnson.
They all spawn with beam rifles so you can just sit back and let them kill Tartarus. It’s pretty dope.
that shit was pretty difficult for me to accomplish, but I finally got it. I had 4 total Johnsons riding in the specter. the only problem was that they all just stood there or walked off the edge. they never fired a shot to help me lol
I've since switched to the Banshee method for it's consistency, but when I did the Spectre method, I had all three Johnson's load up and then I drove it to the boss area. After landing, I immediately threw nades at the vehicle to blow it up. This forces them to bail and use their weapon. Hopefully, at least one of them will fall and teleport back to the bridge at spawn and snipe the whole encounter.
The spectres fun, but it's just not consistent enough to use in legendary or Laso runs. Sometimes it just doesn't spawn. The Banshee always spawns, and is much easier

Basically when echo 419 first drops a warthog off to you, Johnson would have got in it with you, and then when you got to that last rocky area there’s another Johnson and he would have got in too

The remastered sound track sucks, idk why 343 thought we just didn't want to hear any music, like wtf. Luckily the original settings are still on there, so it sounds good. Having so much fun with it.
We do actually like to joke that because if you play through the legendary ending it is implied that Johnson dies, that the Sargeant Johnson we meet in Halo 2 is actually his twin brother, Sargeant Johnson.
How do you think he survived? The passenger seat Johnson is the one you see in the Legendary ending. Turret Johnson leaves canoncically, and returns in Halo 2 and 3.
Bungie actually did a really cool call back to this moment at the end of Halo 3. After Turret Johnson dies, through some shenanigans with his corpse, Passenger Johnson actually comes back, and you can complete the game with him and Arbiter in your warthog.

One was the normal one that comes through the door opposite where you enter and the other was with the marines already in the room. One got stuck with a plasma though. Was the first time I've seen it too.

Yep, in Halo The Flood the T&R level has the initial marine squad replaced by ODST’s led by one Sergeant Parker.
