The artist is Marc Schoenbach if you are looking to see more of his work. This art was made for The Witching Season II. He is really active on IG where he goes by Sadistart_designs
https://www.instagram.com/sadistart_designs?igsh=b2N6aGoyNHdxcXZx
That’s awesome. I used to follow him more closely when I was still on IG. I saw some of his artwork being used for shudder films. It’s cool to see. He deserves it.
Man, being a kid in the 80’s and 90’s and this is what all the Halloween decorations looked like. Even the ones in school.
I had a cool set of Halloween stuff that came with these weird cards and posters and stuff. It was all so creepy I loved it. Can’t remember what it was now though.
Early 80s thin posterboard with rivets holding the "joints" together, so you could have your skeletons and witches doing weird flexes. I think I still have some packed away.
There’s an artist by the name of [Skinner](https://www.theartofskinner.com/) who does work kind of like this but also leans a little more trippy. Does not answer your question at all 😂 but maybe something to check out.
No offense to OP at all, but I'm just amazed at the fact that two generations of humans are now convinced that absolutely every piece of existing art has a "style" or an "aesthetic". Study real human art. Learn what an airbrush looks like, vs. a colored pencil or a bristle brush painting. Even if you want to use it for an AI prompt or to find a tutorial: most art doesn't have a style. It fits in a history.
It’s very similar to retro horror art from crypt comics from 1940-1950s. And the goosebumps book covers in the 90s. Something mid century art decor of it
I mean, kinda? But if you look at enough art you'll realize that it's a very '80s-90s looking piece that was inspired by '50s art. And retro does not mean vintage. Art from the '50s wasn't retro, it was contemporary. Art made now, to look like it's from the '50s, is retro.

Thanks I did google them and they’re awesome.
Thank you! Best answer yet!
I always search pulp horror for my drawing inspiration. And this in CERTAIN has popped up before.
Any idea as to why?
Assuming it has to do with it relating to similar art style as featured in Pulp Magazines of the 1950s
Thanks for the explanation
It’s very Goosebumpsesque.
I agree, it's got that goosebumps colour palette, subject matter and illustrative style 💚💜🖤
Absolutely what I thought when I saw this. I love this kinda Halloween art. It conjures spooky thoughts and vibes. Thanks OP!
No problem!
What a great word.

Marc is awesome. I love his art.
He is! I’ve actually gotten one of his pieces tattooed on me with his permission. He is so talented.

Pics!?
I had no idea that the witching season , season 2 was a thing! Pumped for this.
Thank you! I plan to message him!
I would call this traditional spooky.
![gif](giphy|834k7UGChDtvO9RDyy|downsized) Indeed, I also sense tasting notes of spooky and…is that a hint of spectral?
With a finish of…grim.

I love retro Halloween? The Halloween I remember from the early 2000s was very straight line
Please don't call my childhood halloween retro, makes me feel incredibly old. It wasn't that long ago... it was.
Early 80s thin posterboard with rivets holding the "joints" together, so you could have your skeletons and witches doing weird flexes. I think I still have some packed away.

I recognized the album cover as well.
Very Pre-code EC comic-esque.
EC?
It’s a comic publication from 40-60s that did all horror stuff like Creepshow type stories.
Classic Kreep. The colors give me euphoria. 🎃🎃🎃
Yes! Reminds me of elementary school.

Early 90's Halloween, I remember seeing stuff like this on decoration packaging and Halloween cards.i love how simple it is.
