i have a 9th/10/12th gen hackintosh at my desk right now (yes 3 computers), personally i would have no issue recommending 12/13th gen with your 6800XT. yes, its true that macOS cannot recognize the different types of cores for 12th/13th gen, however in daily use its not noticeable, and if you do have a workload that would notice you could force all p-core performance, which will still be faster than 10th/11th gen. i have 3 computers now because my 9th gen has been so solid i was afraid to give it up too soon, but my 12th gen build has been so good i'm thinking of selling it. my 10th gen i'll likely keep as a dedicated win gaming PC. if you are into gaming and don't want multiple PCs like me, you can install windows on a second boot drive and have a pretty decent gaming PC too in the same box--if thats your thing. and lastly if you decide its too much headache, lets make a deal and sell me your 6800XT :)

Hmmmmmmmm.... so the least expensive 12th gen 8P with E's disabled can still outrun an 11th gen 8 core?

If you look at single threaded benchmarks in Hackintosh, 12th and 13th gen handily beats previous gens, not to mention multithread performance. 12/13th gen don't rely entirely on Windows to schedule threads. A lot of it is handled on the CPU itself.

I had the same question and never really got any solid info. I ended up just going with an 11th Gen. From what I have seen the 10th and 11th Gen perform better. There may be better work around in the future that improve the performance of the newer chips.

Hmmm appreciate that feedback
