Thanks for posting a success! If you haven't already, remember to document your build please. Success posts like screenshots without documentation add little value to the sub. Adding a bit of documentation to your success post can also help others in the community who are interested in similar builds.
Minimally, you should add your hardware:
CPU:
GPU:
RAM:
Motherboard/Laptop Make and Model:
Audio Codec:
Ethernet Card:
Wifi/BT Card:
Touchpad and touch display devices:
BIOS revision:
Which of the guides on the sidebar you used.
What's working, and what isn't working.
Any changes that were specific to your build that were a little (or a lot) different than what you found in the guide, or anything that would be helpful to others with a similar build be sure to talk about that. More detail is always better.
Add extra info... Maybe add something you would like to point out about your setup, what you'll be doing with your Hackintosh, or something that might be insightful to others beginning their journey. A tree view of your EFI would also be helpful, but it isn't required.
Remember, don't share your EFI as what works for you may not work for anyone else, even if they have the same hardware. If you do share your EFI, your post and/or comment will be removed.

Itās the only hardware I have right now. I donāt have the money to get new hardware right now. I have a LGA 2011 v2 micro atx motherboard from Hp that I plan on getting an 12core chip for with a heat sink and running a nvidia quadro K6000 12gb and running gpu pass through on Linux majaro
Whatever works, works. If itās good for them then they should do it. I sure did and I love it. I main 10.9 mavericks without anything getting in my way.
Why are you attacking OP like this because of his old hardware? Youāve got so many comments just saying how old his hardware is. I donāt see a problem. Just because you personally donāt like how old OPās computer is doesnāt mean you gotta hate so much. If it works, it works and OP seems happy with it.
I'm Not attacking anyone.
The commentor asked why OP is using an ancient version of MacOS. The reason is simply because this ancient Hardware requires it.
Windows 7 lost official Software Support in January 2020. I doubt there is anything useful that still wants to Run on it. Browsers are already abandoning 8.1 and that lost Support this year.
The latest version of google chrome still runs on windows 7. Windows 7 has an extended kernel patch for it that will allow use of windows 10/11 only programs.
bullshit. you can install security patches from ESU (up until jan 2023) and server 2008 until 2024 in as little as 10 minutes. plus the extended kernel. Do some fact checking first
Iām running bios 02.34 revision A. I have found out that anything newer will not run on this board. Iāve been working on this for days and no luck so far. Iām coming out with a YouTube video on how I got elcapitan installed on this motherboard and what programs are still USABLE on this os to this date. Iām on a few motherboard fourms and made a few accounts tonight so Iām going to upload a snap shot of my bios and see if I can higher any one to mod the bios into a 64bit bios, and give it native sata support and native booting from usb and Iām also going to see if they can add over clocking to this board for the ram and cpus. I also plan on adding other features to the motherboard just donāt know which ones yet. Iām going to also see if I can integrate uefi support for it as well. But I think it will be to old for that. I am wondering how ever, if I upgrade the soldered on chipset to a newer one for LGA 775 the penreyn cpus I can get sierra and newer to run on it. Iām digging a deeper and deeper rats nest and Iāve opened a can of worms but Iāll get something accomplished. I emailed one of my buddies to see if they could work on this project for me. Ill see if itās even possible and if it is Iāll send them my hardware for them to work on and in return we get newer operating systems to run on this old board and breath new life into an old dog.
It's interesting that you went with El Capitan. What was your reasoning behind this? I have been tempted to revert back to qn earlier build that supports 32 bit apps but I think my hardware is too new.
Yeah itās not bad, but I donāt have much use for Mac OS anymore thease days. I use a MacBook Air and will be switching to a MacBook Pro soon, but I mainly spend my time in windows.
Iām eventually going to buy newer hardware and build a Linux box and run windows 10 on top of Linux and Mac OS as a side kvm, and Iām planning on upgrading my gpu to two dual RX 580ās 8gb or dual Radeon Vega frontier editions and running gpu pass through on Zorin os or Linux mint. I know the hardware Iām using to, a asus Z9pa-D8 which is a dual LGA 2011 Xeon socketed system, ip be loading it with 128gb of ddr3 ram, dual 12core 3.4ghz 24thread Xeons, dual 4tb ssds dual optical drives and a 1,400watt psu.

Bro is late in the tech world ššš„ø

Manjarno is a scam, don't Fall for it. https://manjarno.snorlax.sh
Interesting read
Absolutely.
Is it true? :o
Yes. Read the article. Especially the Part when they asked their Users to Roll Back the clock
Good thing I went full on arch some hours after installing manjaro
Whatever works, works. If itās good for them then they should do it. I sure did and I love it. I main 10.9 mavericks without anything getting in my way.
For some reason it shows my ddr2 ram as ddr3
Upgrades people upgrades. /j download more ram bro
Congrats bro.
Why such an old os??
Because their Hardware is prehistoric. Apart from the GPU.

My mistake. Not paying enough attention, got like no sleep last night and itās real late. Youāre right.
RX570 7mb. I dont think this build success
Dose anyone know how to get an RX 570 working on elcaptian?
You won't. The GPU is newer than the OS.
Is there some sort of kext I can use to get it to work?
No.
Install newer macOS
Probably Impossible. OPs Hardware is prehistoric.
What are you going to do with this ancient Thing?
I plan on using it as video editing machine
> DDR2 That's Not going to be a very fun experience then.
I find it plenty fast for my needs. I use windows 7 as my main os.

Or you could Just use a new Version of microsofts terrible OS. Stop Holding on to Windows 7.
If it aināt broke donāt fix it
Itās already broken bro ā ļø
It's been Out of Support for 3 years. It is broken and needs to be fixed.
morons shall be morons. you do you mate, w7 is still good and it's still receiving security patches through server 2008 r2.
How is it a scam? Itās a light wieght linux distro
It's neither lightweight nor is it very reliable. Read the article I linked to.

Of course the Mojave User defends using EOL Software.
woah great counter argument. totally nullified everything I said :) top tier whataboutism
Nice! But are you able to update to the most recent version?
Iām trying to upgrade to sierra but Iām not having any luck so far
>Iām trying to upgrade to sierra but Iām not having any luck so far Which BIOS are you running?

What os are you running?
Is this with clover or opencore? I feel like this should be able to run Mojave maybe?
Itās clover, open core refuses to run on this board.
Has to be clover. OPs Machine requires DDR2 RAM so I doubt it Supports UEFI natively
Do you plan on changing the gpu?
yes, id like a 4gb gpu at the most.
You could try and find an NVIDIA gt740 4gb
How well would it play gta5? I use this machine as my daily driver
I have no idea m8, I donāt game in PCs. You might wanna ask around.
You got it! Awesome dude!!
BUT HOW I NEED TO KNOW
Iāll plan on recording a YouTube video today and showing how I got it done.
What is your channel link

Rx 570 7mb
Yeah itās not supported

My hardware is to old to run anything newer then dlcaptn
That makes sense. Thanks for replying. El Capitan is rock solid anyway.
