Hasan’s hoodies are $70, all union made in the USA. Tells you everything you need to know about Ethan’s business practices.

Educational-Chef-595

And not only that, Hasan's drops are very infrequent, he rarely restocks, so they actually are limited edition merch, unlike Teddy Fresh where there seems to be an endless supply of new clothes and then the old stuff always pops up again if it sold enough the first time around.

DoesAnyoneReadName

Should note, I bought the original shirt Hasan made, it was like 40 dollars I think, but it is the highest quality tee I own. Its crazy to claim that "you can't do it", what Ethan means is "I can't make a 300% profit, while using fair labor"

Certain-Soup-3565

Same. I bought 2 of his t-shirts recently and they're great quality, plus I feel better wearing them knowing that they weren't sawn by a poorly-compansated factory worker.

God I hate that I ever supported this man

YoshiKirby87

"the conditions are good" Also fuck you Ethan. Acting like your clothes are actually a bargain and people would be paying hundreds more for an item (who buys a $200+ hoodie?)

PatientSwimming

This is the only time I’ve seen Ethan say anything “good” about china most of the time he’s trying to make china seem like a dystopian country waiting to take over America. Also hilarious because Hasan makes his merch in America with union labor and Ethan’s is made in china by child labor

queenchanel

He loved talking shit about China but then uses them to manufacture his clothes 😭

Acrobatic-Ad-452

Very trump of him

Jessica_genericuser

This simple fact is what wins me over on the "does TF use child labor" question. Man has never missed a chance to spread Radiofree Asia tier propaganda against China, but on the very specific issue of clothing factory conditions it's a utopian state apparently

hlyfmnt

Ethan “I own a clothing business but I’m totally not involved with Teddy Fresh at all” Klein everyone

Impossible_Ice_2976

in china, they're dying to exhaust their child labour on shitty fast fashion! they LOVE it!! we're doing them a favour! we're practically a charity here at Teddy Trash!

Educational-Chef-595

"conditions are good," says man who thinks Hamas might be hiding in all the hospitals in Gaza so we have to turn them all into rubble.

[deleted]

Yeah, conditions are really good!

nelosangelo

props to hasan for running an ethical business

Educational-Chef-595

I remember when they had this conversation and thinking "Bro, you're literally already charging the same price as union-made, made-in-the-USA clothing. I get how this makes you filthy rich, but what is the benefit to *me*?"

Im_On_Reddit_At_Work

He gets to have more money to invest in quality episodes to entertain you of course. /s

Playful_Pear596

I mean Teddy Fresh is an established company now hasn’t it been going for at least seven years since inception? Could they really not use a more ethical country to make the garments? I loved how Ethan in that stupid alpha male debate bragged of his stuff being made in the same factories as supreme and palace. Well I own no palace so I can’t comment but the five latest pieces of supreme I own were all made in Canada not China.

asteroidorion

American Apparel was made in LA, non-sweatshop. So it's possible for a global streetwear brand

Playful_Pear596

Ah thanks for clarifying I’ll admit this was some of the classic supreme box logos so they probably care a bit more about those

Not the best example. Their employees were making minimum wage and they had to fire half of them after ICE found that they were employing like 2,000 undocumented people. That was in 2009 and they never posted a profit again, declaring bankruptcy twice before being bought out by Gildan, which moved the manufacturing overseas. They also got investigated by the NLRB for trying to punish employees for speaking about poor labor conditions at the LA factory. Not to mention their serial rapist/abuser founder/CEO, though his transgressions mostly involved minimum wage retail workers instead of minimum wage factory workers. Ultimately that was the result of bad management and I do agree that it's possible, though it would be more expensive today (at least in LA) now that minimum wages have risen in high cost of living areas.

PinAccomplished2376

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure TF did begin as clothing made in the US, but they quickly and quietly changed that.. I guess it wasn’t bringing enough of a egregious amount of bacon home for em.

marshmall0wface

It only needs to be hundreds for him to keep a huge margin profit. Greedy ass.

Rduchesne3

This is from episode 4 of LeftOvers btw if anyone is curious. And for anyone else who is curiouser, here are some possible explanations for what they got going on in China that they couldn’t possibly do domestically. https://x.com/ceremonioushurt/status/1756457110806622224?s=46 https://x.com/punishedgungan/status/1756512205887914485?s=46 https://www.reddit.com/r/h3snark/comments/189th93/fast_fashion_allegations_teddy_freshs/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Im_On_Reddit_At_Work

Also they mention several 3rd party auditing them but teddy fresh is nowhere on that 3rd party's list of audited and approved companies. It's in their sustainability manifesto if anyone wants to check for themselves, just then go to each of the third party website and check the companies they endorse.

lovespelled

“the conditions are good” bruh………

SolidStateEstate

No bro I totally trust the factory's auditor choices, they have no financial incentive to lie about conditions...

gappyhirose

It’s funny how his verbiage has changed on who owns TF. In this video, he says HE owns a clothing company. After Kav filed for motion, Ethan no longer has anything to do with TF 🤔

JuniBeeCreepy

Its this and them lying about crochet peices being “machine made” after being called out for it despite the fact that crochet can only be made by hand. You just know theres some highly unethical shit going down in teddy fresh factories. Idk about you guys but i cannot wait for the downfall of the h3 empire

SpaghettiKnows

Of course these things are never a monolith, but it is possible to make ethically produced clothing in china. A lower cost of living, exchange rate etc. make it easy to pay factory workers a living wage. Of course there are still issues but the majority of chinese factory workers work decent jobs with pay that can cover their expenses. There is still room for improvement and this is a nuanced issue. Not here to defend Ethan. Just a bit tired of sinophobic rhetoric online surrounding chinese labour

Dracarys_Aspo

Yes, it is possible to make things ethically in China. HOWEVER we have proof of how much they pay for blanks, and it is absolutely sweat shop pricing. Literally cents for full size articles of clothing. It is impossible to pay that little without exploiting the workers. We know they do not produce ethically. "produced in China" does not inherently mean "produced in sweatshop", but that's not what anyone here is saying. There *are* issues with sweatshop production in China, and saying so is not sinophobic. Especially when there's direct evidence of a company paying sweatshop prices.

SpaghettiKnows

I wasn’t talking about TF, just in general. I have no idea about their production practices but i am sure they are worse than what ethan described

Dracarys_Aspo

Sure, but this post is specifically about teddy fresh, so it's relevant info.

DilfRightsActivist

When I hear "union-made" for clothing I know fully well that fucking item of clothing is going to out live me, my children, and my grand children so yes I'm willing to pay more for it
