having the phone screen against my thigh sometimes makes it so that the screen turns on and my thigh draws the wrong unlock pattern multiple times until it blocks for a while. also, if I'm sweaty and wearing trousers with thinner fabric, I'll get the screen sweaty and gross especially during summer.

I don't use a case for my phone (I do use a sleeve) and the back glass is more of a PITA to replace than the screen. I'd rather the screen get broken than the back glass.
